154 Tunnel Length
Thank you for purchasing our product. Below is a brief description on
installation. Installation is the same concept for all the tunnel lengths,
just slightly different hardware.
Position | Hardware | 154 Tunnel |
---|---|---|
3 | 1/4-20×3/4 Button Head Bolt | 6 |
2 | 1/4-20×5/8 Button Head Bolts | 4 |
2 | M6 Fender Washer | 2 |
1 | M5 -.8x20MM Button Head Bolts | 4 |
3 | 1/4-20 Flanged Nylock Nut | 6 |
2 | 1/4-20 Reverse Lock Nut | 4 |
4 | 12-24×5/8 Bolt | 8 |
4 | #12 SAE Flat Washer | 8 |
A | Long Rivets | 14 |
B | Short Rivets | 8 |
A and B | Rivet Washers | 22 |
2 | U-bent aluminum bracket | 2 |
- Remove the stock rear bumper. (Rivets on the inside of tunnel, bolts at the snow flap and running board)
- Remove snow flap/taillight housing. (2 rivets on top of tunnel, 4 Torx head screws on the inside of tunnel)
- Remove Tunnel Bag mounts. (Torx screws inside tunnel)
- Remove the rear stirrup from the running board, you will need to clearance the hole slightly towards the outside of the running board to accommodate for the new bumpers added thickness. See Picture 1
- Set new bumper side plates in place using the tunnel bag mounts (with “4” hardware) to hold the plates in position. Picture #2
- Enlarge/Drill the holes (# 3 Holes and # 2 holes) in the side of the tunnel for the bumper handle and the top of the running board stirrup. Refer To Picture #3
- Fit rear handle over side plates and attach using the ¼-20 x ¾” button head bolts, verify alignment of hole locations #1 and #2 before tightening handle.
- Begin drilling and riveting the side plate to the tunnel, start with locations that have existing holes. Remove the burrs from drilling before installing the rivets. We recommend drilling and riveting one hole at a time to not misalign holes. Locations marked “A” will use the longer rivets, holes marked “B” will use the shorter rivets. Install from the outside in with the rivet washers on the inside. Picture #3
- Reinstall the running board stirrup using the factory bolts through the running board, use the new supplied M5-.8x20MM Button head bolts (# 1 Hole) with the factory M5 nuts that were removed previously. The Nylock nut needs to be on the outside of the tunnel or track damage can occur. Top of the stirrup will use the supplied U-Bent aluminum bracket, a 5/8” Button head bolt from the inside of the tunnel, as well as from the outside through the stirrup, use the M6 Fender washer on the outside of the stirrup. Use the ¼-20 Reverse lock nut for these locations (they look like a regular nut but have a locking feature). See Picture #4
- Trim Taillight Housing using Picture # 5 as a reference. Cut along Gold line in picture, sand smooth once cut.
- Reinstall the taillight housing with snowflap. Uses 2 of the supplied “B” rivets and rivet washers as well as the 4 factory Torx screws inside the tunnel.
