Getting Started

The 4smarts SkyTag Slim helps you find lost items easily. Place
it in your wallet to always know its location.

Function Notes

Prevent unwanted tracking: Your iOS device will alert you if a third- party SkyTag is near you for an extended period. An alert sound will play if the device is not detected after a while.

Privacy Protection: Only you can see the location of your SkyTag. No location data is stored in the device, ensuring encrypted communication with the Find My network.

Care and Maintenance

Do not open the device. Clean it with a dry cloth only and do not use harsh chemicals.

General safety instructions

Avoid strong vibrations, shocks or extrusion, protect the instrument from sun and rain during transport.
The device should be stored in a clean, cool and dry room, avoid direct sunlight and contact with corrosive substances.
Do not let children or pets bite into the device or accessories, as this may cause damage or failure of the device.
The device and accessories contain small parts. Please keep the device and accessories out of the reach of small children. Children may accidentally swallow small parts and choke on them.
Do not drop the product or subject it to strong impact to avoid damaging it, which may cause the device to fail.G

Precautions for batteries

Overheating of the battery may cause an explosion.
If the battery leaks, avoid contact of skin and eyes with the leaking liquid. In case of direct contact, please rinse with clean water immediately and go to hospital for medical treatment.
If a battery shows discoloration, deformation, abnormal heating or other abnormalities during use, charging or storage, please stop using it and replace it with a new battery.
Always dispose of the battery according to the regional disposal regulations and do not throw it in the household waste.

Getting Started

The 4smarts SkyTag Slim is a handy device that helps you find lost items more easily. For example, if you put the SkyTag in your wallet, you can always see the location of your wallet.

Remove and insert the battery
Step 1: Push down on the battery cover and turn it counterclockwise until it stops moving. Step 2: Remove the cover on the back.
Step 3: Take out the battery.
Add SkyTag to Apple Find My:
Update to the latest version of iOS or iPadOS. Turn on Bluetooth of your phone, then pull the mylar out of SkyTag.
Open the Apple Find My app, tap “+”, tap “Add Other Item”, search for SkyTag and follow the on screen instructions.
Reset
If SkyTag is not added to the Apple ID after ten minutes, Bluetooth will stop transmitting to save power. You need to power off/on the battery five times to reset it again. Reset ist successful if you hear a different power-on sound. Then you can start adding Find My again. The method is the same as above.
Pair with another Apple ID:
Remove your SkyTag from Find My by tapping on the “Items” tab, tapping the name of the SkyTag item, scrolling down to the bottom of the detail card and then tapping “Remove Item”. Use of the accessories:
Proper insertion of the SkyTag will ensure optimal performance and functionality. Please follow these instructions to avoid potential problems.
Carefully insert the SkyTag into the appropriate accessory. Make sure you can see the top of the SkyTag and not the bottom of the case. Make sure that the SkyTag is firmly and securely seated in the accessory.

Function Notes

Find items at close range – Play sound function
For the paired SkyTag, within the short range oft he owner´s Apple device, you can click
“Play Sound”in the Find My app, or say “Hey Siri, find my wallet” to play sound to indicate the SkyTag location. If it´s hiding nearby, such as under a cupboard or in the next room, you can easily follow the sound to find it.
SkyTag is away from the owner
The owner can see the location of the lost SkyTag on Apple device, navigate by the map to find SkyTag and items.
Lost Mode – Find things easier
SkyTag can be set as “Lost Mode”. Open the Find My app, select an added SkyTag, click on the “Lost Mode”, folling the instructions oft he app, enter phone number, then setting ist successful. In Lost Mode you automatically get a notification when it´s detected by other devices in the Find My network. So if other pick up your SkyTag, they can know how to contact you by folling the learn more instructions in Find My app. People nearby also can identify tot he owner, help the owner find lost items.
Find items with help of hundreds of million of Friends
Find My network will help you find your belongings when thes are left behind. SkyTag will send out a secure Bluetooth signal that can be detected by nearby iOs devices in Find My network. These devices send the location of your SkyTag device to iCloud, then you can go tot he Find My app and see it on the map. The whole process is anonymous and ecryptet to protect you privacy. And it´s efficient, so there is no need to worry about the battery life and data usage.

Prevent unwanted tracking:
To prevent unwanted tracking, your iOS device will detect a third-party SkyTag that is near you for an extended period and send you an alert. If you don’t detect the device after a while, it will play an alert sound to warn you. However, you will not receive any notification when a SkyTag is near its owner.
Privacy Protection:
Only you can see the location of your SkyTag. No location data or location history is physically stored in the SkyTag itself. Communication with the Find My network is encrypted throughout, so only you have access to location data. Neither Apple nor anyone else can know the identity or location of the device involved in finding your SkyTag.

Care and Maintenance

Do not open the device and have it repaired only by a specialist.
Do not use any harsh chemicals, cleaning agents or the like for cleaning. Use a clean, dry cloth for wiping.

Disposal Notification

Electrical and electronic devices as well as batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and electronic equipment as well as batteries at the end of their service life to the public collection points set up for this purpose or to the point of sale.
