Safety instructions

Intended use
This light stand is intended to be used for the stable mounting and height- adjustable positioning of spotlights. Use the device only as described in this user manual. Any other use or use under other operating conditions is considered to be improper and may result in personal injury or property damage. No liability will be assumed for damages resulting from improper use.
This device may be used only by persons with sufficient physical, sensorial, and intellectual abilities and having corresponding knowledge and experience. Other persons may use this device only if they are supervised or instructed by a person who is responsible for their safety.

DANGER!
Risk of injury and choking hazard for children!
Children can suffocate on packaging material and small parts. Children can injure themselves when handling the product. Never allow children to play with the packaging material and the product. Always store packaging material out of the reach of babies and
small children. Always dispose of packaging material properly when it is not in use. Never allow children to use the product without supervision. Keep small parts away from children and make sure that the product does not shed any small parts that children could play with.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to tipping of the stand during loaded transport!
If the stand is moved without having removed the installed devices, the stand may tip over and cause injuries and property damage.
Remove the installed devices before transporting the stand.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to tipping of stand on an unsuitable ground!
When the stand is installed on soft or uneven ground, the stand may tip over and cause injuries and property damage. Install the stand only on even and solid ground.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to tipping of the stand from excessive loading!
In case of excessive loading, the stand might tip over, causing injury and property damage. Never exceed the specified maximum load for the stand.
CAUTION!
Risk of injury due to tipping of the stand from excessive or one-sided loading of the truss beam.
In case of excessive or one-sided loading of the truss beam the stand might tip over, causing injury and property damage. Never exceed the specified maximum load for the truss beam. Spread the weight of the mounted devices evenly on the truss beam.
NOTICE!
Possible staining due to plasticiser in rubber feet!
The plasticiser contained in the rubber feet of this product may react with the coating of the floor and cause permanent dark stains after some time. If necessary, use a suitable mat or felt slide to prevent direct contact between the device’s rubber feet and the floor.

Installation

Unpack and check carefully there is no transportation damage before using the product. Keep the equipment packaging. To fully protect the product against vibration, dust and moisture during transportation or storage use the original packaging or your own  packaging material suitable for transport or storage, respectively.

WARNING!
Risk of injury due to falling when mounting the truss or the spotlight!
Risk of injury due to falling or falling parts if using unsuitable climbing aids when mounting the truss or the spotlights.
Always use a suitable working platform or a sturdy ladder for mounting a truss or a spotlight.
Always place the working platform or the ladder on flat and stable ground.

Comply with regulations
When installing and operating, make sure to follow the standards and regulations that apply in your country.

  1. Unfold the feet of the stands until the cross braces are in a horizontal position.
  2. Secure this position with the safety screw on the carriage to which the three feet are attached.
  3. Screw the two truss parts together with the three supplied hex screws and nuts.
  4. Insert the two truss holders into the extension tubes of the two stands and secure the adapter with the fastening screw.
  5. Attach the mounted truss beam and secure it in the required position with the wing nuts.
  6. Loosen the two safety screws on the extension tubes. Pull out the extension tubes of the two stands to the desired height and secure them with the help of the safety screw on the stand.
  7. Mount up to eight effects or spotlights to the truss beam and secure the devices additionally with a safety cable. Arrange the devices as symmetrically as possible. Observe the instructions of the respective manufacturers. The maximum total load capacity of
    60 kg must not be exceeded.
    ⇒ The truss is assembled.

Protecting the environment

Disposal of the packing material
Environmentally friendly materials have been chosen for the packaging. These materials can be sent for normal recycling. Ensure that plastic bags, packaging, etc. are disposed of in the proper manner.
Do not dispose of these materials with your normal household waste, but make sure that they are collected for recycling. Please follow the instructions and markings on the packaging.
