- This universal vacuum cleaner for carpets is intended for dry cleaning floor and wall surfaces.
- This device is suitable for commercial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospitals, factories, shops, offices, and rental companies.

Battery pack and charger
In addition, read the operating instructions and safety instructions that come
with the battery pack and the charger.
This device can be operated with all 18 V Kärcher Battery Power and Battery
Power+ battery packs.

- Control elements for the cleaning process are yellow.
- Control elements for maintenance and servicing are light grey.
Initial startup
Installing accessories
ATTENTION
Danger of tipping over!
Do not set the device down when using the flexible suction hose. Hold the
device in one hand during cleaning
- Select desired accessory.
- Plug the accessory onto the suction pipe or directly into the device.
Inserting the battery pack
- Slide the battery pack into the battery holder and lock it in place.
Charging the battery pack
Note
Please read the operating instructions of the charger manufacturer, especially
the chapters on safety instructions!

Note
The battery pack is partially charged on delivery.
Charge before use and when necessary.
Note
The battery pack can only be charged when it is removed.
- Press the unlocking button and remove the battery pack.
- Charge the battery pack according to the operating instructions of the charger manufacturer and the battery pack manufacturer.
Operation
Switching the device on/off
- Press the trigger halfway, the device starts up.
- Release trigger, device stops.
- Press the trigger until it latches into place: Continuous operation.
- Press the trigger – latch disengages and the device stops.
Eco-Mode
Eco button (energy-saving mode): The device works with reduced suction
performance. The battery run time is extended.
- To activate Eco-mode: Actuate the Eco button.
- To switch off Eco-mode: Actuate the Eco button re- peatedly.
Mode memory
The most recently selected mode remains stored when the device is switched off
and is reactivated when the device is switched on again.
Converting the floor nozzle
The floor nozzle can be converted for use on various different types of floor.
- Use with brushes suitable for hard floors
- Use without brushes suitable for textile coverings.
Note
During the cleaning of textile coverings, the battery run time is shortened
due to increased cleaning performance.
- Release the lock.
- Remove the carpet insert.
- Insert the hard floor insert.
- Close the lock.
Cleaning mode
- Perform cleaning.
Draining the dirt receptacle
Empty the dirt receptacle regularly, but at the latest when the suction
performance decreases.
Note
Large accessories, such as suction pipes, should be removed before removing
the dirt receptacle to facilitate handling.
- Press the dirt receptacle release mechanisms on both sides.
- Pivot the dirt receptacle upwards.
- Remove the cartridge filter from the dirt receptacle.
- Empty the dirt receptacle.
- Reinsert the filter elements.
- Reinsert the dirt receptacle until it latches into place.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage!
Ingress of dirt destroys the suction turbine.
Do not operate the device without the filter element.
Turn the suction hose port
To facilitate handling, the suction hose port can be rotated.
- Press the release mechanism of the suction hose port.
- Turn the suction hose port in the desired direction until it latches into position.
Each time after use
- Empty the dirt receptacle.
- Charge the battery pack.
Storing the device
- Store the device in a dry room and secure it against unauthorised use.
Transport
CAUTION
Failure to observe the weight
Risk of injury and damage
Be aware of the weight of the device during transportation.
- When transporting the device in vehicles, secure it to prevent it from slipping or overturning in accordance with the respective valid guidelines.

Be aware of the weight of the device during storage.
The device may only be stored indoors.
- Press the unlocking button and remove the battery pack to prevent discharge.

Injuries due to touching moving parts. Switch off the device.
Remove the battery pack.
Cleaning/replacing the filter element
- Dirt receptacle
- Pre-filter
- Cartridge filter
- Unlock and remove the dirt receptacle.
- Pull the cartridge filter out of the dirt receptacle.
- Pull the pre-filter off the cartridge filter.
- Clean the filter element or replace if necessary.
ATTENTION
Risk of damage!
Damage to the filter elements during mechanical cleaning.
Carefully clean the filters by gently knocking the dirt out.
Do not expose the filter area to any mechanical loads and replace the filters
if damaged.
Do not operate the device without the complete filter elements.
Troubleshooting guide
DANGER
Danger of electric shock
Injuries due to touching live parts
Switch off the device.
Remove the battery pack.
Suction turbine does not start up
Discharge battery pack.
- Charge the battery pack.
Battery pack not correctly inserted into the battery holder.
- Press the battery pack into the holder until it locks in place.
Battery pack at the end of its life
- Replace the battery pack.
Observe the instructions in the operating instructions of the battery pack!
Suction power decreases
Dirt receptacle full.
- Empty the dirt receptacle.
Filters dirty.
- Clean the filter elements.
No or insufficient suction performance
Eco function is switched on.
- Switch the Eco function off for full suction power.
Accessories clogged.
- Remove clogging from the suction nozzle or suction pipe.
The device stops during operation
Discharge battery pack.
- Charge the battery pack.
Battery pack overheating protection has triggered.
- Allow the battery pack to cool down.
Customer Service department
If the malfunction cannot be corrected, the device must be checked by the
Customer Service department.
Warranty
The warranty conditions issued by our relevant sales company apply in all
countries. We shall remedy possible malfunctions on your appliance within the
warranty period free of cost, provided that a material or manufacturing defect
is the cause. In a warranty
case, please contact your dealer (with the purchase receipt) or the next
authorised customer service site. (See overleaf for the address)
