Instruction Manual
MIST FAN
Read these instructions carefully before assembling and/or operating the
appliance. Keep these instructions including warranty, receipt and, if
possible, the box with the internal packing.
When passing on the appliance to a third party, make sure to include these
instructions for use.
Intended Use
This appliance is intended for household use only and not for commercial,
industrial or outdoor use. Other use not recommended may cause fire, electric
shock or injury.

Warning! To avoid the possibility of injury/damage to the appliance,

Incorrect or improper use can damage the appliance and cause injuries to the user.

Before connecting this appliance to the mains, make sure your local voltage matches the technical data of the appliance. Otherwise the appliance may overheat and get damaged.

Do avoid contact with all moving parts. Always wait until all moving parts have come to stand still before touching them.

Do not insert fingers or allow foreign objects to enter the grill/ air outlet.

Make sure the fan is not placed near drapes, curtains, or any objects that may be drawn (including hair and clothes) into the fan.

Never place or operate the unit where it could be subject to:
– Heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other products that produce heat
– Direct sunlight
– Excessive dust
– Mechanical vibration or shock
– Lack of ventilation
– Uneven surfaces, to avoid the tipping of the fan during use -
Always turn OFF and unplug the fan when not in use and/ or when moving it from one location to another.
Caution! Danger of electric shock!
- Never put the appliance, cord or plug into water or any other liquid.
- Do not use the appliance near a sink or wash basin.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
An electric appliance is not a toy!
- Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Always unplug your appliance when it is not in use, and before cleaning.
- Always pull the plug – not the cord.
- Keep the appliance and the cord well away from any hot surfaces to avoid any damage to the appliance.
- Do not run cord under carpeting. Make sure the cord may not inadvertently be pulled or cause anyone to trip when in use.
- Do not allow the cord to hang over sharp edges.
- Do not bend the cord or wind it round the appliance.

The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Notes on handling batteries
Warning:
- Swallowing batteries can be extremely dangerous. Keep the batteries out of the reach of small children. Should a child swallow a battery, seek medical assistance, immediately.
- Batteries must not be recharged, taken apart, thrown into an open fire or short circuited. Risk of fire/explosions!
- Always replace all batteries at the same time and always use the same battery type.
- Batteries can contain toxins that are harmful to your health and the environment. Do not dispose of batteries with the normal household waste.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance is complete and that all accessories are included.
- Fully unwind the power cord.
- Clean the appliance as described under Cleaning and Care.
If any items are damaged or missing, contact your dealer or customer service.
Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and babies, therefore keep
them away to avoid suffocation.
ASSEMBLY

Insert the castor wheels (16) into the designated holes of the base (15).

Place the base (15) on an even an stable surface.

Remove the the mounting nut from the fan body (14) (underneath).
-
Insert the fan body (8) into the base (15) and securely attach the fan body (8) to the base (15) by fastening the mounting nut (14) of the fan body (8) underneath the base.
Make sure that the fan body is securely attached! -
Unscrew the fixing knob (11) at the back of the appliance byturning it anti clockwise and insert the pole of the motor unit (7) into the fan body(8).
Make sure that the front of the motor unit is facing the front of the fan base. -
Tighten the fixing knob (11) by turning it clockwise.

Unscrew the blade fastener (2a) and rear grill mounting nut (1a) from the shaft of the motor unit (7).

Position the rear grill (1) over the shaft against the front of the motor unit with its handle at the top. Ensure that the locating pegs on the motor unit (7) are correctly inserted into the holes of the rear grill (1).

To secure the rear grill (1), re-attach the mounting nut (1a) to the shaft of the motor unit (7) and fasten it..

Push the fan blade (2) onto the motor shaft and make sure that it is properly positioned.

To secure the fan blade (2), srew on the blade fastener (2a) and turn it in the directions of the marking (close) until it is firmly tightened

Attach the mist plate (4) onto the front grill (3) and secure it with the included screws.
Make sure that the end of the hose connector is pointing downward. -
Loosen the srew (6) of the safety ring (6) attached to the rear grill (1).

Align the front grill (3) inside the safety ring (6) and position the front grill (3) against the rear grill (1).
Secure front (3) and rear grill (1) by tightening the srew (6) of the safety ring (6).
Note: Always fasten the safety screw of the safety ring to ensure that the grill is properly assembled! -
Attach the water hose (5) onto the hose connector of the mist plate (4).
FILLING THE WATER TANK WITH WATER
Always make sure that the appliance is not connected to the mains when filling
the water tank.
Make sure that the appliance is standing upright and placed on a flat and
stable surface.
- Open the safety nut (12) of the water tank and carefully remove the water tank (13) from the appliance.
- Turn the water tank (13) upside down, and open the screw cap.
- Fill in the water tank (13) with fresh tap water. Do not overfill thewater tank. Max. water tank capacity is 3.3 litre.
- Reattach the water tank screw cap and carefully insert the water tank (13) back into the appliance. An integrated mechanismautomatically opens the screw cap for the water flow.
Only fill water into the water tank. Do not use any chemicals or other liquids
in the water tank!
Clean the water tank every 3 days.
OPERATION
Always ensure that the fan is unplugged from the power supply and turned off
before commencing with the assembly process.
Make sure that the fan is properly assembled before operation.
The appliance can be operated via the control panel as well as by remote
control.
Control Panel Each time you press a function button, a beep sound can
be heard.
ON/ OFF button
– Turns the fan On/Off
Once plugged in, the appliance POWER indicator light is flashing.
Press the ON/OFF button repeatedly to switch the appliance ON or OFF, the
POWER indicator light is on.
SPEED button
– Allows 3 different speed level selectios.
Low – Medium – High
– Press the button repeatedly to switch between the speed setting. The
respective indicator lights light up.
MODE button
– Press repeatedly until the chosen mode indicator light lights up on the
control panel (NATURE or SLEEP)
NATURE: The fan is cycling through all the speeds, simulating a natural
breeze.
SLEEP: The fan is simulating a softer wind mode by cycling one speed higher
and/or lower, ideal for resting.
TIMER
Press the ‘TIMER’ button on the control panel or the supplied remote control.
It sets the timer in increments of 0.5 hours to a maximum of 7.5 hours. After
the timer runs out, the fan will automatically shut off.

Oscillation/OSC
Press the OSC. button on the control panel or supplied remote control to
activate the oscillation mode for widespread air distribution. The respective
indicator light lights up. Press the OSC button again, to stop the oscillation
mode.
MIST button
Press the button repeatedly to choose the desired level, Low , medium, high.
The respective indicator light lights up.
When using the MIST function, you have to make sure that the water tank was
filled with water beforehand!
REMOTE CONTROL BUTTONS
ON/OFF
– Press to switch the appliance ON or OFF.
OSC
– Press activate or deactivate the oscillation function.
MIST
– Press repeatedly until the choosen mist level indicator light light up.
MODE
– Press repeatedly until the chosen mode indicator light lights up on the
control panel (NATURE or SLEEP)
SPEED
– Press repeatedly until chosen speed level indicator light lights up.
TIMER
– Press repeatedly until the chosen time indicator lights light up.
Make sure your local voltage matches the technical data of the appliance.
Otherwise the appliance may overheat and get damaged.

Place your fan on an even, dry and stable surface and connect it to a properly installed wall socket.

Press the ON/OFF button, the POWER indicator ligh lights up, the appliance is now ready for operation.

Choose your desired settings by pressing the respective buttons on the control panel or remote control.
Make sure that the water tank is filled with water if using the MIST function -
After use, switch off the the appliance and unplug it.
Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
Always remove the battery from the remote control if it will not be used for a
longer period of time.
ADJUST TILT ANGLE
Caution: The fan should always be switched OFF when making this adjustment!
To adjust the desired fan angle, tilt the motor unit up or down until it
clicks into place.
Do not tilt the fan head further than it is intended to go!
Inserting / Replacing the battery of the remote control
- To open the battery compartment, press slightly onto the battery cover and push it downward.
- Insert 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries according to their polarity (+/-).
- Re-attach the battery cover to the remote control. Make sure that the battery compartment is properly closed.
CLEANING AND CARE
**** Before cleaning, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from
the mains.
Never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
- Clean the appliance using a a soft damp cloth.
- Never spray the appliance with liquids or submerge it in water or other liquid.
- For cleaning purpose, front and back grill as well as the fan blade can be removed.
After the cleaning process is finished make sure that all parts are dry and
that the front/back grill incl. fan blade are properly reassembled.
Never use alcohol, gasoline, and/or any other aggressive cleaning agents/hard
objects.
CAUTION: The Fan Blade may have sharp edges. Handle with extreme care.
Clean the water tank every and the MIST plate every week.
Carefully remove the water tank from the appliance and empty it. Rinse it with
fresh tap water. Let it completely dry before re-inserting it.
Clean the inside of the water tank compartment with a soft and dry cloth. ****
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without
supervision.
- Be aware that high humidity levels may encourage the growth of biological organisms in the environment.
- Do not permit the area around the humidifier to become damp or wet. If dampness occurs, turn the output of the humidifier down. If the humidifier output volume cannot be turned down, use the humidifier intermittently. Do not allow absorbent materials, such as carpeting, curtains, drapes, or tablecloths, to become damp.
- Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning.
- Never leave water in the reservoir when the appliance is not in use.
- Empty and clean the humidifier before storage. Clean the humidifier before next use.
Warning: Micro-organisms that may be present in the water or in the environment where the appliance is used or stored, can grow in the water reservoir and be blown in the air causing very serious health risks when the water is not renewed and the tank is not cleaned properly every 3 days.
STORAGE
Keep the appliance away from children and store it in a clean and dry place, best in its original box or cover it to protect it from dust.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Mist projector works but, doesn’t produce mist
- Clean the water tank and refill it with clean tap water
- Empty the water tank and check for any damage, e.g. cracks
- Make sure that the water tank is filled with water. A full tank should be sufficient to produce 8 hours of mist on the lowest level
Mist projector doesn’t work
- Check if the water tank is filled with water
Fan doesn’t work properly
- Check if the appliance is properly connected to the mains
- Check if there are any damages to the cord or plug.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains
- Check if blades are bend or dirty, clean the blades if necessary.
Indicator lights are not lighting up, no wind, no mist
- Check if the appliance is properly connected to a power source and switched on.
The projected mist smells peculiar
- During first usage a slight odour could build, the smell should disappear after further use.
- Empty the water tank, clean it and let it completely dry. Afterwards,refill it with fresh tap water
Do not try to repair the appliance yourself, always contact the service center of qualified personnel.
DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with
your household waste, but are to be collected separately. Therefore, please
return this device at the end of its life cycle to special collection points
for disposal or your local dealer.
Your Mist Fan 81102 is packed in a retail box. Such boxes are recyclable
waste, i.e. they are reusable or recyclable.
DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR BATTERIES
Standard and rechargeable batteries should not be thrown into regular
household waste. As a consumer, you are legally obliged to return used
batteries for proper disposal. You can hand in your used batteries at your
local recycling centre in your district or sales outlets where batteries of
this type are sold.
Only dispose fully discharged batteries.
Note: The codes below are printed on batteries containing harmful
substances:
Pb = Battery contains lead
Cd = Battery contains cadmium
Hg = Battery contains mercury
