Product Usage Instructions

Deployment of Zebra Service Battery Health:

1. Navigate to the SureMDM Console > App Store > Android.
2. Click Add New App and select Upload APK.
3. Click Browse File to upload the application.
4. Accept the security warning and proceed.
5. Enter Category and Description when prompted, then click Add.

Deployment of Zebra Services Agent:

1. Navigate to the SureMDM Console > App Store > Android.
2. Click Add New App and select Upload APK.
3. Click Browse File to upload the application.
4. Accept the security warning and proceed.
5. Enter Category and Description when prompted, then click Add.

Job to Install both Apps with Managed Configuration of ZSBH App:

1. Navigate to Jobs > New Job > Android.
2. Select the Install Application Job and click Add.
3. Select Use Apps from AppStore.
4. Select the ZSBH app from the Apps drop-down menu.
5. Configure settings if necessary and click OK.

Installation of Apps:

1. After creating the job, go to Home > Select all devices >Click Apply button.
2. Select the job created earlier and click Apply.

42Gears SureMDM is an Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) solution that empowers companies to securely manage any device or endpoint with any form factor and any operating system throughout their entire lifecycle, from deployment to retirement. Zebra Services Agent and Zebra Services Battery Health apps are designed to be installed and configured through EMM tools.

Pre-requisites

1. Devices should be enrolled as ‘Fully Managed Device’.
2. To verify if devices are configured as ‘Fully Managed Device’: Login to 42Gears console → Select any device → Right side corner → Check the value of Android Enterprise.

Deployment of Zebra Service Battery Health

Keep Zebra Service Battery Health APK file ready and follow the below steps:

1. Navigate to the SureMDM Console > App Store > Android.
2. Click Add New App and select Upload APK.
3. Click Browse File to upload the application.
4. A security warning will appear. Select the check box and click okay to proceed.
5. On the Add App prompt, enter the Category and Description.
6. Once done, click Add.

The application will be added to the SureMDM App Store.

Job to Install both Apps with Managed Configuration of ZSBH App

Follow the below steps to customize the app settings of ZSBH app:

1. Navigate to Jobs > New Job > Android.
2. Select the Install Application Job and click Add.
3. Select Use Apps from AppStore.
4. Select the application from the Apps drop-down menu.
5. If necessary, configure the other settings and click OK.
6. The Application Restrictions prompt will appear with all the application settings. The image below shows the Application Restrictions prompt for the SureMDM Agent. Application. The settings may vary depending on the specific application
7. The configuration can be skipped by selecting Skip Configuration, or you can configure the required settings. Once done, click Done.

Follow the below steps to add ZSA app to newly created Job.

1. Navigate to Jobs > New Job > Android.
2. Select the Install Application Job
3. Provide a Job Name and select Add.
4. Select Use Apps from AppStore.
5. Select the application from the Apps drop-down menu.
6. Select Install after copy and launch the application after install options.
7. Select OK

NOTE
After having both apps added in the Job select OK. Make sure to add ZSBH first the ZSA app in the Job. The newly created job will be listed in the Jobs List section.

Installation of Apps

Once the job creation is completed, follow the below steps to install the apps to the devices:

Home → Select all devices → Click Apply button → Select the job created earlier → Apply.

The applications should now be installed on the devices.

Ans: Home → Device List → Select any device mentioned in the list → Select Apps tab on the top → Scroll down or search for the ZSA or ZSBH app.

Q: How to check if the app is installed with correct permissions and able to connect to Zebra servers ?

• Check App version. Click Settings -> Apps -> Click Zebra Services Agent

• Check ZSA Permissions
  Click Settings -> Apps -> Click Zebra Services Agent -> Permissions

• Check ZSA Network connectivity to Zebra URL

  • Launch ZSA and go to Settings -> Refresh
