Installation and Setup
- Download the ‘Overmax Control’ app from the iOS Store or Google Play, or scan the QR code to download the app. Compatible with iOS and Android. The device also works with the Tuya Smart app.
- To register a new user, click on ‘register’ then read and accept the Privacy Policy. Enter your phone number or email address to receive a verification code. Enter the verification code into the provided field. Enter a personal password and click ‘finish’.
- To log in to an existing account, click on ‘log in using an existing account’. Select the appropriate Country/Region. Enter the correct phone number or email address and password, then log in.
- To manually add a device, ensure the camera and router are close together to allow quick configuration. Connect the mobile device to the local Wi-Fi to which the camera will be connected, then click on ‘My home’. Click on ‘Add device’ or ‘Add camera’, and then select and click on ‘Camspot 4.9’. Moving forward, enter the correct network name and Wi-Fi password.
- For scanning the camera using a QR code, reset the camera by pressing ‘Reset’ to restore factory settings. To pair the camera, scan the QR code from the phone screen by aiming at the camera lens, keeping a distance of 15-20 cm. Try not to shake the mobile phone during scanning. After adding the device, click ‘finish’ to complete the addition process.
Mobile App Functions
- Real-time preview interface adjustments, including FullHD / HD recording resolution changes, volume control, zoom, full screen, photo capture, two-way audio communication, video recording, and more.
- Features like gallery access, light/dark app theme, private mode (which allows data transfer limitation by turning off the camera), night mode, motion tracking, motion and sound detection, device control, location tracking, cloud storage, smart features, patrol function, and alarm (automatically turns off after 10 seconds).
- To access the live camera feed through a web browser, enable the ‘Overmax Control’ app, click on ‘add device’, then scan the QR code displayed in your computer’s browser. Live camera view available at: https://ipc-eu.ismartlife.me/login
Recording and Playback
Recordings stored on the memory card should be written to the mobile device’s memory through the Overmax Control app. The data on the card is encrypted, and not writing it to the device’s memory can prevent later playback.
