iQuad Navigation/Features

**SCREEN CAPTURES AND OPTIONS MAY DIFFER FROM IOS AND ANDROID APPS

Main Menu

Download and open the iQuad App. Tap on the top left corner of the screen on the grey gear icon to navigate to the main menu.

Vehicle Selection:
Vehicle Selection can only initially be made if you are connected to the internet (via local WiFi or cellular service; hotspot connection may not be sufficient). All new Adrenaline units are sent out with V2 tuning. In order to have full functionality of the Adrenaline and iQuad modules you must be in the vehicle selection “V2 Dodge 1998-2002”.

Other vehicle selections are for legacy modules, tunes, and board modifications. You must have the matching software and hardware in order to run different vehicle profiles. “V2 Quadzilla Only” is for internal company use and testing only.
From time to time we will release vehicle updates that will be available without going through the app store. To check for these updates just re- select your vehicle, if an update is available you will be notified, if no update is available you will be returned to the main menu.

Settings Menu
Make sure your desired value is displayed before turning a setting on. Touch the setting name to edit the value anda keyboard will appear. Enter the new desired value and se-lect save in the top right hand portion of the display.

Turn each individual setting on or off by touching the grey toggle but-ton on the right hand side of each setting. The setting will turn green when on.

Boost & EGT Defuel
These safety parameters give you the ability to have the Adrenaline cut fuel once these values are met. This can prevent over spinning your turbo from too much boost or engine damage from running excessive EGT’s. Having this setting on can prevent max performance gains from the Adrenaline.

High Idle & Warmup Mode

  • The High Idle Delay Setting must be on and the Adrenaline power level set to 0 in order for your truck to enter a high idle. The delay value is how long the truck has to be idling before it begins to idle higher. A delay setting of 0 seconds will cause the truck to immediately enter high idle.
  • Warmup Mode puts the truck into power level 0 (stock) until the designated value is met. When engaged, the power level indicator will turn green. The truck will only engage high idle below the set warmup mode value. If power level is at 0 it will start automatically.
  • The Adrenaline’s high idle is not for use with trucks that have factory high idle enabled. Your truck will shut off as it atttempts to enter high idle.

MPG Offset
Changing this value will adjust your mpg readout for larger injectors, different gear ratios, and other modifications. Compare what the Adrenaline reads as your average mpg to your hand calculated mpg and offset the difference. To reset your MPG or gallon trip, toggle this button on/off.

Turbo Timer Setting
A turbo timer is a great safety feature that can prevent premature turbo wear. The Adrenaline can keep the truck running after the key has been pulled out. This allows air and oil to cool the turbo before shutoff and prevent breaking down your oil due to heat. To switch from an EGT Based timer to a Time Based turbo timer touch the box to the right of the on/off toggle button. Either Time or EGT can be selected.

Drive Train Info
To change Drive Train Info touch the setting and then select from a drop down list of available options. For tire size a keypad will display, type in the circumference of your tire (Diameter of tire multiplied by 3.14).

Sensor Warnings
The Sensor Warnings menu selection allows for different warnings to be set for the listed parameters. To turn a sensor warning on or off tap the grey toggle button on the right hand side of each param-eter. The setting will then turn green when on.

To change the value in which the sensor warning is activate, tap the parameter title and enter the desired value.

Custom Tuning
One of the greatest features of the Adrenaline and iQuad+ setup is the ability to custom tune. When you first install your Adrenaline, the “Default Profile” will be selected. This is the standard, 10 power level, tune that is loaded onto all new Adrenaline units.

To make a new tune, select “New” or the “+” button in the top right corner. Establish a profile name and select “Save”. Now all of the different parameters that are able to be changed are listed. To make a change to a particular parameter simply touch it and use the keypad to make your change. Once done use the “Save” button in the upper right hand corner to save that change. You will then be taken back to the parameter list.

Once you have made all of your changes for your new tune profile touch “Save” in the upper right-hand corner of the entire parameter list. This creates the tune profile.

Once your profile is saved you will return to the main Custom Tuning Menu. To activate a profile simply touch one that does not have a check mark. You will be asked to confirm your decision to run that tune profile.

The tune profile currently running on your Adrenaline will be identified by the check mark at all times. To edit a tune profile touch the edit button to the right of the screen. To delete a tune profile touch the trash can in the lower left-hand corner of the screen, then touch the red minus sign beside the tune profile you wish to delete. Follow this by touching the red delete button and follow any on screen prompts.

Custom Tuning Parameters

Number of Power Levels
Select the total number of power levels you would like in the tune. This will not affect peak power, it will only scale how much wiretap is being used on the upper power levels. Power levels 0 to 3 will always be:

  • LEVEL 0
    STOCK TUNING WITH BOOST FOOLING

  • LEVEL 1
VALET MODE (LESS THAN STOCK POWER)

  • LEVEL 2
TIMING AND USES CUSTOM CANBUS FUELING CURVE UP TO 100% (WON’T GO ABOVE STOCK FUELING)

  • LEVEL 3
TIMING AND FULL CANBUS FUELING CURVE (WILL GO ABOVE STOCK FUELING)

  • LEVEL 4
TIMING, FULL CANBUS FUELING CURVE, AND ADDS SOME WIRE TAP

  • LEVEL 5+
SAME AS POWER LEVEL 4, BUT WILL SCALE THE AMOUNT OF PUMP TAP UP DEPENDENT ON HOW MANY POWER LEVELS YOU HAVE

RPM Limit
Decide what RPM you would like to fuel up to. This extends your pump tap to the desired RPM. However, if you have a weak pump, not enough fuel, etc. it may be hard for your truck to reach higher RPM. Upgraded valve springs are recommended over 3400rpm

Maximum Valet Mode Power
The Valet mode value dictates what percentage of stock power you will have in your Valet Mode (Power Level 1). 0% will virtually remove all power from the truck, and 100% will make the truck run stock.

Maximum Fuel Stretch
Maximum Fuel Stretch is the pulse time that the Adrenaline is telling the fuel solenoid to stay open. Higher fuel stretch does not always mean more power, as too high of a fuel stretch can limit top power output.

  • TPS Pump Maximum
This is the value that will determine the throttle position at which the wire tap fueling will peak out at. For example, if set at 70%, your pump tap will be demanding the maximum amount of fuel from 70% throttle to 100%.

  • TPS Pump Minimum
This value that determine the throttle position at which the wiretap fueling will begin.

  • Minimum Pump Tap Fueling Percentage
This parameter dictates how aggressively the pump tap will kick in. As you gain more boost and demand more fuel the pump tap becomes increasingly more aggressive. Increasing this value will begin the fueling curve higher. A 0% value will make the smoothest transition when the tap does engage, while a 50% value will make it engage hard.

  • Pump Low Boost Scale PSI
Similar to the TPS Pump Minimum, this is the boost psi you must reach in order for the tap to engage. Please note that both this value and the TPS Pump Minimum must be met to engage the pump tap.

  • Boost Scaling
Boost scaling is the boost value where the pump tap will peak out at. Again, both this value and the TPS Pump Maximum must be met to achieve maximum fueling.

  • Max Load Timing Offset
This allows you to tune timing based on a weighted calculation of load and rpm. This setting does not increase your max timing. It reduces timing as load increases (ie for towing).

  • Low PSI Timing Reduct
Variable to allow for the user to set a max amount of timing to pull when TPS is high and boost is low. Pulling timing will assist in spooling the turbo.

  • Timing Reduct Scaling
This allows you to set how much timing gets pulled from the Low PSI timing reduct number set. You may want more timing down low, but want to pull timing up top. Scaling function will limit max timing at high rpm but allow for the map to calculate off of the max timing until that point is reached.

  • Light Throttle Timing Advance
This setting allows you to advance timing above the base timing curve if load is low. Timing advancement is based on load percentage where 0% load would give you the most timing advance and as load increases timing will decrease. Above 50 mph there is an additional 1* of timing added on top of the configured value.

  • Light Throttle Load Limit
This setting allows you to set a maximum value for engine load for light throttle timing advance. If engine load is above this level, the truck will no longer use light throttle timing. Aggressive timing may make the truck feel sluggish.

  • RPM Timing Max
When this parameter is opened you will be presented with five sliding controls that determine the maximum TOTAL amount of timing at a given RPM. Stay within the green values for unmodified motors. Boost Level Fueling- CAN Bus
When this parameter is opened you will be presented with 24 sliding controls. At each PSI of boost you can choose what percentage of stock ECM fueling you would like. 100% fueling across the board will provide stock computer fuel- ing (not including pump tap). This is the most effective parameter for controling smoke and over-fueling.

  • Data Logging
The Data Logging menu selection presents you with several minimum and maximum values for different parameters while a device is connected to the iQuad+. You can also export a detailed data log file with timestamps using the export button on the top right of the screen. Please note that data logs will clear from your device once connection with the iQuad+ is terminated. You must export the log while connected to the truck.

Troubleshooting

  • I can’t connect my device.
1. Make sure the Adrenaline has a proper ground connection and the red/white ignition wire is getting 12v.
2. Go into your device settings and search/connect to the iQuad via WiFi or Bluetooth, with the app closed. Then open the app once connected.
  • All of my parameters are reading 0.
1. Go into your device’s settings and ensure you are connected to the iQuad+.
2. If there is only one gauge in your layout and no other values are showing, you must drag and drop what parameters you would like to see. To access the parameter pallet, click on the carrot at the bottom of the gauge layout and then drag and drop  desired parameters.
3. Check your Data Link connection on the truck. If it is not connected, or the truck’s wires have corroded the iQuad+ will not read most parameters.
  • What vehicle selection do I choose?
1. If your Adrenaline was manufactured in 2017+ you most likely have V2 tuning and must select V2 Dodge 1998-2002. If you would like the V2 update, but have older tuning, Quadzilla offers a “Test and Update” service available on our website.
  • My power level bar is green.
    1. You are in a warmup mode, turn this off in the settings menu.
  • I can’t go up in power levels.
    1. Double-check that you are connected to the iQuad+.
    2. Check your Data Link Connection to make sure it is secure.
    3. Ensure your warmup mode setting is in the off position.
