GENERAL TECH TIP:
- Due to the programming process being sensitive to voltage drops, it is recommended that a battery charger is hooked up to the vehicle before beginning the programming process.
Programming Instructions
DISCLAIMER: Programming additional remotes require at least ONE
already programmed remote.
STEP 1: Be sure to have all currently programmed remotes available for
this process. Any remotes not present will be erased.
STEP 2: Turn the ignition OFF.
STEP 3: Plug the programming dongle into the OBD II port.
STEP 4: Using a valid remote, press lock and then unlock.
STEP 5: Wait 5 seconds. The programmer will beep a short beep and the
green LED will blink.
STEP 6: Wait 20 seconds. The programmer will begin to flash the red
LED every second to indicate security access is in progress.
STEP 7: After 10 minutes the programmer will beep and turn on the
green LED to indicate security access has been gained.
STEP 8: Press the button to erase all stored key data. This will erase
all currently programmed keys to the vehicle. All previously programmed keys
must be relearned during this process. The programmer will beep a short beep
to denote the button press.
STEP 9: The programmer will then beep a long beep and turn on the green
LED to indicate that all keys have been erased.
STEP 10: Place a remote into the programming socket, then press the
button on the programmer.
STEP 11: The programmer will beep a short beep and the LED will remain
off to indicate that the remote has been detected in the socket.
STEP 12: The red LED will blink until the remote is programmed.
STEP 13: The programmer will beep a long beep and the green LED will turn
on to indicate that the key has been successfully programmed.
STEP 14: Remove the programmed remote from the socket. Test the remote by
pressing Lock/Unlock.
STEP 15: Place the next remote into the programming socket, then press
the button on the programming dongle.
STEP 16: The programmer will beep a short beep and the LED will remain
off to indicate that the remote has been detected in the socket.
STEP 17: The red LED will blink until the remote is programmed.
STEP 18: The programmer will beep a long beep and the green LED will turn
on to indicate that the key has been successfully programmed.
STEP 19: Remove the programmed remote from the socket. Test the remote by
pressing Lock/Unlock.
STEP 20: Repeat steps 15 through 19 for any additional remotes. A maximum
of 4 remotes may be learned to the vehicle.
STEP 21: When all remotes have been programmed, unplug the programmer
from the OBD II port.
