infobit iSwitch 265K Zero Configuration 4K AV Over

Overview

The iSwitch 265K is an AV over IP system (encoder and decoder) adopting the latest compression technology. It supports resolutions up to 3840x2160p@30Hz and can be controlled by VDirector App (IOS/Android/Windows version), allowing users to easily build an IP matrix or a video wall through a tablet/cellphone/PC. With easy-to-use and plug-andplay features, the encoder (iSwitch 265K-T) that works with the decoder (iSwitch 265K-R) can be widely used in sports bars, conference rooms, digital signage, etc.

  • Zero-Configuration : The industry’s first and only plug-n-play 4K AV over IP solution. Works flawlessly with universal Ethernet switches; no need to configure IGMP. Set up within minutes, just plug and play. Easier than ever to build a distributed 4K IP matrix with video wall, ideal for sports bar, house of worship, retail, etc. Whether you are an installer or enduser, you can effortlessly complete installation, even if you were not exposed to any IP knowledge before.
  • Note : You must use a PoE Ethernet switch if you want to supply power to the iSwitch 265K-T or iSwitch 265K-R. A gigabit switch is recommended.
  • Long-Distance Extension: One pair of encoder/decoder can extend 4K ultra-HD HDMI signal up to 394ft/120m. Transmits farther than common HDBaseT extenders.
  • Multi-Functional IP Solution: Supports the advanced HDMI audio extraction, PoE, RS232 pass-through, fast seamless switching, etc.
  • Plug & Play: Works flawlessly with a universal Ethernet switch; no need to configure IGMP for many-to-many applications. Quite friendly to installers and end-users.
  • Visual Control: Install the “VDirector” App on your smartphone, tablet or Windows PC for effortless visual control. Easily manage all codecs at the same time.
  • Video Wall: Build a distributed 4K IP matrix system with a video wall up to 8×8, ideal for sports bar, house of worship, shopping mall, etc.
  • Easy Visual Control on Your Palms: With the visualized and user-friendly VDirector App, you can perform the settings below:
    • Preview all sources and preset different scenarios;
    • Switch any source to any or all displays;
    • Drag-and-drop to perform matrix switching;
    • Create/Delete a video wall up to 8×8 within 15 seconds;
    • Enable CEC function to turn on/off all connected displays;
    • Adjust the volume of each connected display device;
    • Rotate the first row of the images within a video wall by 180 degree;
    • Divide all decoders into different groups.

Note : The last three features are recently added, only available on the iOS version at present. The new Android version supporting these 3 features are expected to be released this May.

More Scalable and Flexible than Traditional Matrix: The iSwitch 265K AV over IP solution supports one-to-one application, so only one pair of encoder and decoder can work together to transmit maximum 4K@30hz ultra-HD HDMI signal up to 394ft/120m. You can also more units of encoders or decoders to form a distributed IP matrix, which is far more flexible and cost-effective than traditional matrixes.

Note : The iSwitch 265K is more cost-efficient when you need irregular matrix switching like 3×7 and 5×9, or when you need to build a matrix larger than 8×8.

FAQ

  1. Do the network switch and the wireless router require specific settings?
    The network switch doesn’t require specific settings. You need to enable DHCP server on the
    wireless router and ensure the IP addresses in the pool don’t start with “169.254”.

  2. Why can’t the VDirector find online devices?
    Ensure the network switch’s broadcasting function is not disabled specifically.

  3. Do the transmitter and receiver support RS232 routing?
    Yes. RS232 and audio routing will always follow video routing.

  4. Is it available to configure video wall in the One-to-Many application?
    Yes.

  5. What about the networking size?
    One iSwitch 265K-T (Transmitter/ Encoder) can be displayed by up to 50x iSwitch 265K-R (Receiver/ Decoder) at the same time.
    Note : As the number of the watching receivers increases, the end-to-end latency increases accordingly.

  6. May I change the matched transmitter for a receiver without using VDirector app?
    Yes. The matched transmitter will change by simply holding on the ID key in the front panel of a receiver for 2 seconds.
