When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

• An appliance should never be left unattended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before putting on or taking off parts or attachments.

  Do not use attachments not recommended by HoMedics; specifically any attachments not provided with the unit.
  Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord, plug, cable or housing. If it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, return it to HoMedics Service Center for examination and repair.

Caution : All servicing of this product must be performed by authorized HoMedics Service Personnel only.

• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). The plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way.
• Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
• Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
• Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
• Do not carry this appliance by the supply cord or use cord as handle.
• To disconnect, remove plug from outlet.
• This appliance is designed for indoor use only. Do not use outdoors.

• To get the best effect, product must be placed on a flat surface.
• Do not lift, carry, hang, or pull the product by the power cord.

Assembly

Unpack the product and check to make sure everything is included (Fig. 1).

Table-top Place the unit on a sturdy level surface.
Place feet under unit for added stability. (Fig. 3) Wall-Mount

1. Determine the location and height you are going to hang the unit.
   NOTE: CHECK THE INTENDED WALL LOCATIONS FOR STRUCTURAL STRENGTH. INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO UNIT AND/OR MOUNTING SURFACE MAY RESULT IF UNIT IS PULLED FROM THE SURFACE. TO LIMIT THE LIKELIHOOD OF SUCH INJURY OR DAMAGE, MOUNT UNIT ON A STRUCTURAL WALL.

2. Using the position of the mounting holes on the bracket, mark the position on the wall where the five holes will be drilled.

3. Drill five holes that accommodate the anchors provided. You may use a 7/32 inch drill bit.

4. Insert the wall anchors into the five holes.

5. Insert the screws through the bracket into the wall anchors, and tighten with a screwdriver.

6. Place the unit on the wall.
   Note: Feet are not used when the unit is mounted on the wall.

Instructions for Use

1. Plug the cord into a 120V household outlet.

2. Press the POWER button (Fig. 2). A corresponding LED will illuminate on the unit to indicate the unit is on.
   To use the solid colors

3. There are 10 solid colors from which to choose. Press the SOLID COLOR button (Fig. 2) repeatedly until you find your favorite color. After 10 presses, the colors will repeat.

4. To select an interactive pattern, press the PATTERN button (Fig. 2). Pattern will automatically default to LOUNGE. Press the PATTERN button repeatedly to select from DAYDREAM, DOZE, PARTY, OFF and then back to LOUNGE.
   A corresponding LED will illuminate on the unit to indicate which program has been selected.

5. To pause on your favorite pattern, press the PAUSE/PLAY button (Fig. 2) and the unit will capture and display that pattern. A corresponding LED will illuminate on the unit to indicate this feature is activated.

6. To resume the program, press the PAUSE/PLAY button again. The LED on the unit will turn off. You may also select the PATTERN or SOLID COLOR button to leave the pause.

7. To adjust the speed, press the SPEED button (Fig. 2). Speed will automatically default to SLOW when used for first time. Press the SPEED button repeatedly to select from MEDIUM, FAST and back to SLOW.
   A corresponding LED will illuminate on the unit to indicate which program has been selected.

8. To adjust the volume, press the corresponding button. “Volume +” to increase volume, “Volume -” to decrease volume.
   NOTE: When switching patterns, the speed of your choice will be retained until the power is turned off. Once turned off, it will default to SLOW speed for next use. To use the Sounds

9. Press the RHYTHM button (Fig. 2)
   
   * One time for RELA

• Two times for CHILL
• Three times for UNWIND
• Four times for DRIFT
• A fifth time will turn the sounds off.

Remote Control
All functions may also be selected using the remote control. (Fig. 2) However, the remote does not provide an LED illumination of selections. Only the control panel on the unit provides LED illumination. In order for the remote control to operate, you must aim it within a 30 degree angle of the infrared sensor located on the front of the unit.
NOTE: The remote is powered by one 3-volt (CR2032) battery. To insert or replace the battery, slide off the back cover, press the spring, take out battery, insert new battery, and lastly replace the back cover.

To use the Music Mic
The Music Mic feature responds to music, voice or any other sound. The colors and speed of the unit will change in relation to the volume. It will react to the loudest source of sound.

• This product incorporates a dial to adjust the level of sound sensitivity.
  – For loud music, position along the lower range of the dial.
  – For soft to medium music, position along the medium to upper range of the dial.

• For optimal performance, place unit 3 – 4 feet from the sound output source.

10. Press the MUSIC MIC button (Fig. 2) and a corresponding LED will illuminate on the unit to indicate this feature is activated. Turn on your music and watch the pattern change to the music. The pattern will also change to other external sounds such as people’s voices.
11. Using sensitivity dial (Fig. 2): Turn the dial to increase or decrease the level of sensitivity of the microphone.
12. When you have finished using this feature, press the MUSIC MIC button again to turn off. Or, you may select another function by pressing PATTERN, SOLID COLOR or PAUSE/PLAY buttons. The LED light on the unit will turn off to indicate MUSIC MIC is deactivated.

Optimal performance is achieved in moderate to darker room settings. It is not recommended to position the Color Cube in direct facing light.

Warranty Information

TWO YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY (Valid in USA only)

HoMedics, Inc., guarantees this product free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below.
This HoMedics product warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of HoMedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the USA. A product that requires modification or adaptation to enable it to operate in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under warranty. HoMedics shall not be responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special damages. All implied warranties, including but not limited to those implied warranties of fitness and merchantability, are limited in the total duration of two years from the original purchase date.

To obtain warranty service on your HoMedics product, either hand deliver or mail the unit and your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase), postpaid, along with check or money order in the amount of $10.00 payable to HoMedics, Inc. to cover handling.
Upon receipt, HoMedics will repair or replace, as appropriate, your product and return it to you, postpaid. If it is appropriate to replace your product, HoMedics will replace the product with the same product or a comparable product at HoMedics’ option. Warranty is solely through HoMedics Service Center. Service of this product by anyone other than HoMedics Service Center voids warranty.
This warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You may have additional rights which may vary from state to state. Because of individual state regulations, some of the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
