  • Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. DO NOT use over sensitive skin areas or if you have poor circulation. The unattended use of heated unit by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.

  • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

  • Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep air openings free of lint, hair, etc.

  • Never use while sleeping or fall asleep while using the massager.

  • Never drop or insert any object into any opening.

  • Do not operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

  • Do not use on or near eyes, temples or other highly sensitive areas.

  • Do not operate under a blanket or pillow. Excessive heating can occur and cause fire, electrocution or injury to persons.

  • Do not carry this appliance by the supply cord or use the cord as a handle.

  • Do not use the percussion action massager directly on one concentrated area of the body. Percussion action massagers are designed to be used in continuous motion, constantly changing the massage area.

  • To disconnect, turn all controls to the OFF position, then remove the plug from the outlet.

  • This appliance is designed for household use only.

  • If you have any concerns regarding your health, consult your doctor before using this product.
  • Individuals with pacemakers should consult a doctor before use.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended, especially if children are present.
  • Never cover the appliance when it is in operation.
  • Do not use this product for more than 15 minutes at a time. Extensive use could lead to the product’s excessive heating and its shorter life. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before operating.
  • Never use this product directly on swollen or inflamed areas or skin eruptions.
  • This product is a nonprofessional appliance designed to provide a soothing massage to worn muscles. Do not use this product as a substitute for medical attention.
  • Do not use this product before bed. The massage has a stimulating effect and can delay sleep.
  • Never use this product while in bed.
  • This product should never be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user’s capacity to operate the controls.
  • This unit should not be used by children or invalids without adult supervision.
    Caution: In case of pregnancy, diabetes or illness, consult your doctor before using the massager.
    Caution: Never use the heat feature without the proper attachment.

Quick Start

  1. Plug the unit into a polarized wall outlet.

  2. Select and attach the desired massage head.

  3. To turn the unit on, press the POWER button located above the handle.

  4. For a steady massage, press the MASSAGE button on the control panel. To increase or decrease the intensity level, press the up or down arrows.

  5. For a programmed massage, press the PROGRAM button until the desired program is lit. To select the interval level, press the INTERVAL button until the desired interval is lit.
    Note : When using the red heat-massage heads, press the HEAT button to activate heat in any massage mode. Do not use the heat function with any other massage head.

  6. Gently apply massage heads to the area you wish to treat and slowly move in a circular motion. Treat for a short period of time and then move to another area. Never treat the same area for longer than three minutes.
    Note A massage session longer than 15 minutes is not recommended.

  7. When treatment is complete, turn the unit oil and unplug it from the outlet. Store it in a cool, dry place.

General Instructions

Operation

To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not alter the plug in any way.

  1. This unit is powered by the included UL-approved cord. To power, the unit unties the cord strap, extend the cord and insert the plug into a 120V household electrical outlet.

  2. Select and attach the desired massage head. (See Massage Head Attachments.)

  3. To turn the unit on, press the POWER button located above the handle. A corresponding LED light illuminates to indicate the unit is on.

  4. Choose the desired massage option: steady or program. (See 5. & 6.)

  5. For steady massage, press the MASSAGE button. To increase or decrease the massage intensity level, press the up or down arrows on each side of the MASSAGE button in the center of the control panel.The number of LEDs lit above the MASSAGE button (1-5) indicates the intensity level.

  6.  For a programmed massage, press the PROGRAM button on the upper right-hand side of the control panel until the desired program is lit. Choose any of the three program options:
    • Program 1 provides slow, steady percussion action to relax and revitalize. (Bottom Program LED is lit.)
    • Program 2 provides intense massage action to penetrate and soothe. (Center Program LED is lit.)
    • Program 3 provides short, quick bursts for energizing stimulation. (Top Program LED is lit.)

Operation Note : In the programmed massage mode, an interval level may be chosen by pressing the INTERVAL button on the upper right side of the control panel. There are three interval options: Interval 1 = low (bottom LED), Interval 2 = moderate (center LED), and Interval 3 = high (top LED).

  7. Gently apply massage heads to the area you wish to treat and slowly move in a circular motion.

  8. Treat the target area for a short period of time, then move to another area. Never treat the same area for longer than three minutes. Caution: As stated in the Warnings section of this manual, never use this appliance on or near the eyes, temples or other highly sensitive areas.

  10. When treatment is completed, turn the unit off and unplug it from wall outlet. Properly store the unit in a cool, dry place. Note: For added protection, if the power is on but a function is not selected, or the Heat function has been selected with no massage function, the unit automatically shuts off after 15 minutes.

Auto-Spacing Feature

The spacing between the massage heads can be adjusted to fit various body frames and areas. (See Figure 2.)

Feature

  1. To adjust the spacing between the massage heads, turn the unit on and push and hold the button on the underside of the massager. (See Figure 3.) Heads continue to cycle in and out as long as the button is held down.

  2. As soon as you find the desired spacing for maximum comfort, release the button.

Massage Head Attachments

Your massager comes with four custom massage head attachments. Each set has a different level of firmness:
Hard = light grey
Soft = black
Medium = medium grey
Heat = red

  1. To remove the massage heads from the unit, rotate each counterclockwise.
  2. To attach the massage heads, rotate clockwise. (See Figure 4.)
Massage with Thermal Heats
  1.  Locate the two red (heat) attachments. Attach one to each massage head by turning clockwise to secure. (See Figure 4.)
  2. Choose the desired massage option and press the HEAT button.
  3. The heat feature works only in conjunction with the heat massage attachments. The heat indicator illuminates when used with other attachments, but heat will not be felt.
    Note: To eliminate the risk of being burned, never use the heat function without the heat attachments. Do not use the thermal heat continuously for more than 15 minutes. Do not use the thermal heat if you have sensitive skin, poor circulation, discolored areas, swelling, burning, inflammation or an area where skin eruptions or sores are present. Heat should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
Maintenance

To Clean Be sure to unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. To wipe clean, use a soft, slightly damp cloth. Never allow water or any liquids to come into contact with the handle.
To Store Unplug the massager from the outlet and allow it to cool before storing in its box or a clean, dry place. Coil the cord and secure it with the included fastener. Do not hang the unit by the power cord.

What Is Covered
This warranty covers any defects in materials or workmanship, with the exceptions stated below.
How Long Coverage Lasts
This warranty runs for 90 days from the date of original purchase.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or use other than as intended and described in the product instruction manual, or loss or damage to batteries or removable parts.
What The Sharper Image Will Do
The Sharper Image warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship. When repair is not practical, The Sharper Image will have the option to replace the defective product with one that is the same or has similar functionality.
