Frequently Asked Questions
Can you print on 80 lb card stock?
I had some 110 lb card stock and tried printing on it. One-sided printing worked, however, 2 sided printing did not work.
Does anyone else have a problem with the printer pulling on one side and making it crooked?
Yes.About every other page. Then the white plastic roller that pulls the paper thru fell out after 3 hours after it was delivered to my house. Was scanning 2 pages, 2nd the page went sideways and jammed. I opened the top as instructed and the white gear roller fell out. Cheaply made.
Can this printer accommodate 9×12 size paper?
Yes, it can. The paper guides in the back (at the top where the paper feeds into the printer) are adjustable and can fit 9×12 inch paper.
Can you print something on cardstock?
Yes it prints well on cardstock
Can this printer scan multiple pages into one document? Like scanning a passport or scanning a multi-page article to 1 scan pdf?
Yes, you can scan multiple into a PDF document. I don’t know about passports. I have not tried it.
Is the printer compatible with the 5G network?
Yes, we also have 5 G and the printer works great.
How well does it print photos?
Using HP HD Professional Glossy paper the best photo was not really “sharp” high quality. OK, but not really Photo Store Quality.
Can you use sublimation ink with the et 4800?
Yes if that’s all the ink you going to use in your printer can’t change the ink to regular ink
Can the et4800 be used for sublimation?
Yes. It can as long as the sublimation ink is a better quality. Not too expensive but better than cheap.
Does this printer make Direct transfer sheets?
Yes, I’ve used this printer to print on t-shirt transfer paper.
Is this printer compatible with Windows 11?
Epson’s website has free downloadable drivers. We downloaded a driver for Windows 7.
Does the printer come with eco-solvent ink?
Yes, it came with plenty of ink! I love this printer! Best one I’ve ever had!
Can this print 11×17?
I don’t think it will print an 11×17, but it should print a letter or legal size print. The paper tray isn’t wide enough for an 11×17.
Will it print on cardstock and will it print on 110lb or 140lb paper?
Card stock needs to be cut to standard paper size if larger than 8.5”x11”. I’ve had no trouble printing on regular card stock. Make sure you orient your blank cards properly for the result you want.
Does this printer have Bluetooth?
I believe that it does not. I have the ET-2850. You can print with ethernet, WI-FI or AirPrint (Apple products). I am told it also works with Android.
