Attaching/Detaching the cable
To attach the cable
1. Hold the convex part of the cable plug at the angle shown in the diagram and insert the cable plug.
2. Rotate the convex part of the cable plug approximately 45 degrees clockwise to the position shown in the diagram to lock the cable plug.
To detach the cable
Rotate the convex part of the cable plug approximately 45 degrees counterclockwise and then pull out the cable plug.
Note
The headphone plug of the cable supplied with this product is designed with a
lock mechanism that makes it
difficult for the cable to come off in the middle of DJ-ing but easy to plug
and unplug smoothly. The HDJ-X7,
HDJ-X5, HDJ-X5BT and HDJ-CUE1BT all have the same plug mechanism, making them
compatible with this
cable as well.
Swivel rotating
This product is equipped with a swivel rotation mechanism that allows for
various styles of monitoring.
Before using the product, check its operation direction. Turning the
headphones forcefully in an inappropriate
direction may result in damage to the product.
Foldable configuration
This product is designed with a foldable configuration.
Safety precautions
Please read through these instruction manual so you will know how to operate your model properly.
WARNING
- Adjust headphones sound to the proper volume. Loud sound may damage your ears.
- For traffic safety, never use the headphones while riding a bicycle, motor bike, or while driving a car. It is dangerous to increase the sound volume too much because you cannot hear external sounds; take great care about traffic around you.
CAUTION
- Never inspect the inside OR remodel this machine. If the customer remodels this machine, AlphaTheta
Corporation will no longer guarantee its performance.
Precautions for use
- Caution should be observed during use, since adjustable parts may pinch the user’s hair, depending on the way in which headphones are used.
- Do not subject the headphones to strong forces or impacts, since damage could occur to the exterior appearance or product performance.
- When headphones are dirty, wipe with a dry, soft cloth. Take care not to blow into the speaker unit.
- Sound quality might deteriorate or sound maybe interrupted if the plug is dirty. Keep the plug clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth occasionally.
- Ear pads may degrade over long periods of use or storage. In this event consult your dealer.
- If any itching or skin discomfort occurs during use, cease use immediately.
The Safety of Your Ears is in Your Hands
Get the most out of your equipment by playing it at a safe level – a level that lets the sound come through clearly without annoying blaring or distortion and, most importantly, without affecting your sensitive hearing. Sound can be deceiving. Over time, your hearing “comfort level” adapts to higher volumes of sound, so what sounds “normal” can actually be loud and harmful to your hearing. Guard against this by setting your equipment at a safe level BEFORE your hearing adapts.
ESTABLISH A SAFE LEVEL:
- Set your volume control at a low setting.
- Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, without distortion.
- Once you have established a comfortable sound level, set the dial and leave it there.
BE SURE TO OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES:
- Do not turn up the volume so high that you can’t hear what’s around you.
- Use caution or temporarily discontinue use in potentially hazardous situations.
- Do not use headphones while operating a motorized vehicle; the use of headphones may create a traffic hazard and is illegal in many areas.
