This guide provides a brief introduction to smart outdoor plug and the Kasa app, as well as regulatory information. Please note that features of this product may vary slightly depending on the model and software version you have, and on your location, language and internet service provider. Introduction
Extend your smart home to the outdoors with the weather-resistant smart
outdoor plug. Power on your patio lights, holiday decorations, and more
from the convenience of your smartphone. Turn each outlet on/off individually,
set schedules, even use simple voice commands with Alexa, Google Assistant to
control the devices connected to the plug.
- Double the Outlets – Access and use 2 outdoor devices from anywhere together or individually with one smart plug.
- Weather-resistant – IP64 rating ensures your outdoor plug is protected against entry of dust and splashes of water from any direction. Weather-resistant cover included.
When not in use, the sockets should be firmly capped with the included weather-resistant cover. - Control from Anywhere – Turn your outlets on/off or set schedules from anywhere using your Kasa Smart app.
- Voice Control – Use voice commands to power up your smart plug with Alexa, Google Assistant.
- No Hub Required – This plug works with a secured 2.4GHz wireless network without the need for a separate hub.
- Set Schedules – Individually schedule each device connected to this plug to automatically switch on or off if you’er home or away.
Appearance
This smart outdoor plug has two individual smart outlets, each with a control
button to turn on or off the plug-in device and a LED to show you the
current status. The System LED changes color according to different status.

Set Up Your Smart Outdoor Plug
Follow the steps below to set up your plug via Kasa Smart app.

Download and install Kasa app Get the Kasa Smart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, or by scanning the QR code below.

Log in or sign up with TP-Link ID Open the app, and log in with your TP-Link ID. If you don’t have an account, create one first.
3. Add Device Tap the + button in the Kasa app, select Smart Outdoor Plug and then follow step-by-step app instructions to complete the setup.
Note: When not in use, the sockets should be firmly capped with the included weather-resistant cover.
Main Device Controls
After you successfully set up your plug, you will see the home page of the
Kasa app. Here you can view the status of all devices that you’ve added to
Kasa and manage them. There are 2 smart outlets of this plug and you can tap
on a smart outlet to control and manage.

Configure Your Smart Outdoor Plug
Set Schedule
Tap to set a schedule for your smart outlet to simplify your daily routine by
creating automatic On/Off action.
Set Timer
Tap to set the timer and your smart outlet will automatically turn on/off after the time ends.
Preset Away Mode
Tap to preset the Away Mode and your smart outlet will be randomly turned
on/off during this time.
Check Runtime
Tap to view and track runtime statistics
View Device Settings
Tap to view and change the settings of your device.
Create Scenes
A scene is a preset group of smart devices that can be programmed, customized
and activated simultaneously at the touch of a button from your smartphone or
tablet, allowing you to easily set your mood, activity or fit any special
occasion. This page allows you to preset how your smart home devices should
act automatically at special occasions.
Discover Kasa
Use the Kasa app to pair your plug with Amazon Alexa, Google Home Assistant and enjoy a full hands-free experience. Launch the Kasa app and go to Add Device > WORKS WITH KASA > Nest Home and Away / Amazon Alexa / Google Assistant for detailed instructions.
