Installation Guide

This Installation Guide provides you with the basic instructions on connecting your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 Wireless Headset to many of the most popular IP phones, through the EHS101/EHS102 EHS (Electronic Hook Switch) box.
EHS enables you to answer or end calls on your connected IP phone with the call button on your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset. A limited set of EHS connection instructions are described in abbreviated form.
For detailed instructions on EHS connection setup at each of the IP phones, refer to the user’s manual of your IP phone model of the respective series and brands, where the EHS101/EHS102 EHS box is connected.

Alcatel IP Touch, 8-Series 4028/4038/4068 or 9-Series 4029/4039 IP Phones

1. Connect the EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 1C to the EHS101 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 1C to your Alcatel IP phone.
4. Connect Cable 1C to telephone wall jack.

Avaya 96×0 Series IP Phones

1. Connect the EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2.  Connect Cable 1A to the EHS101 EHS box.
3.  Connect Cable 1A to your Avaya IP phone.
4. Connect Cable 1D to EHS101 EHS box.
5. Place the auxiliary ring detector to the center of the Avaya IP phone’s speaker.

Avaya J139/J169/J179/14xx/16xx/94xx/95xx/96×1 Series IP Phones

1. Connect EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 1A to EHS101 EHS box.
3.  Connect Cable 1A to your Avaya IP phone.

Digium IP Phones

Digium D40/D60 IP Phones

1. Connect EHS102 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 2B to EHS102 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 2B to your Digium IP phone.
4.  Connect the Headset audio cable, as provided in VH6210/ VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 package, to the headset base.
5. Connect the Headset audio cable to the Digium IP phone.

Cisco IP Phones

Cisco 7942G/7945G/7962G/7965G/7975G/7821/ 7841/7861/6945/8811/8841/8845/8851/8861/8865 IP Phones

1. Connect EHS102 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 2A to EHS102 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 2A to your Cisco IP phone.
4. Connect the Headset audio cable, as provided in VH6210/ VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 package, to the headset base.
5. Connect the Headset audio cable to the Cisco IP phone.

Cisco 8941/8945/8965 IP Phones

1. Connect EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 1B to EHS101 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 1B to your Cisco IP phone.

Fanvil IP phones

Fanvil X4/X5 IP Phones

1. Connect EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 1A to EHS101 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 1A to your Fanvil IP phone.

Grandstream IP phones

Grandstream GXP16xx/21xx Series IP Phones

1. Connect EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2.  Connect Cable 1A to EHS101 EHS box.
3.  Connect Cable 1A to your Grandstream IP phone.

NEC IP phones

NEC DT820 IP Phone

1. Connect EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 1A to EHS101 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 1A to your NEC IP phone.
4. Connect Dongle 1E to EHS101 EHS box.

Panasonic IP phones

Panasonic KX-NT131/136/553/556 or KX-DT543/546 IP Phones

1.  Connect EHS102 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/
   VH6221 headset base.

2. Connect Cable 2C to EHS102 EHS box.

3. Connect Cable 2C to your Panasonic IP phone.

4. Connect the Corded phone connection cable , as provided in VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 package, to the headset base.

5. Connect the Corded phone connection cable to the
   Panasonic IP phone.

6.  Connect your Panasonic IP phone’s corded handset cable to the jack socket on the Corded phone connection cable.

Panasonic HDV220/230 IP Phones

1. Connect EHS102 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 2C to EHS102 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 2C to your Panasonic IP phone.
4. Connect the Headset audio cable , as provided in VH6210/ VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 package, to the headset base.
5. Connect the Headset audio cable to the Panasonic IP phone.

Polycom IP phones

Polycom SoundPoint IP 335/320/321/330/331/430/ 450/670/650/560/550 or VVX 300/310/400/410/500/600/1500 IP Phones

1.  Connect the EHS102 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 2B to EHS102 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 2B to your Polycom IP phone.
4. Connect the Headset audio cable , as provided in VH6210/ VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 package, to the headset base.
5.  Connect the Headset audio cable to the Polycom IP phone.

Shoretel IP phones

Shoretel IP 212k/230/230g/265/560/560g/565/565g IP Phones

1. Connect EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 1A to EHS101 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 1A to your Shoretel IP phone.
4.  Connect Dongle 1E to EHS101 EHS box.
5. Connect Cable 1D to EHS101 EHS box.
6. Place the auxiliary ring detector of Cable 1D to the center of the Shoretel IP phone’s speaker.

Shoretel IP 480G/485 IP Phones

1. Connect EHS101 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/ VH6221 headset base.
2. Connect Cable 1A to EHS101 EHS box.
3. Connect Cable 1A to your Shoretel IP phone.
4. Connect Dongle 1E to your Shoretel IP phone.

Yealink IP phones

Yealink T48S/T48G/T46S/T46G/T42S/T42G/T41S/ T41P/T40G/T40P/T29G/T27G/T27P IP Phones

NOTE:
• You need to purchase Yealink’s EHS36 Wireless Headset Adapter for connection.

1. Connect EHS102 EHS box to your VH6210/VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 headset base.
2.  Connect Cable 2C to EHS102 EHS box.
3.  Connect Cable 2C to the Yealink EHS36 adapter (purchased separately).
4. Connect the Headset audio cable , as provided in VH6210/ VH6211/VH6220/VH6221 package, to the headset base.
5. Connect the Headset audio cable to the Yealink EHS36 adapter (purchased separately).
6. Connect the EHS36 adapter to the Yealink IP phone.
