Operational Instruction
Operating Environment
- Only operate the humidifier in indoor environments between 41-113° F and lower than 80% relative humidity.
- Do not fill the tank with water hotter than 105°F.
- Filling the tank with purified water is recommended.
How to Add Water
- Place the humidifier on a flat surface;
- You have three ways to add water:
① You can take out the water tank form the unit and fill the water tank
directly under the faucet.
② Remove the tank top cover. Then pour appropriate amount of purified water or
distilled water into the water tank.
③ You can pour water directly into the recessed position of the lid, and the
water will flow into the water tank.
Note: Be careful not to add water from here.
How to Use
Place unit on a flat, water-resistant surface as moisture may cause damage to carpets, finished floors, furniture, or walls.
-
Remove the Top Cover and the Water Tank Chamber from the Base. Remove and discard the protective foam on top of the Floater found inside the base.
-
Replace the water tank onto the base by aligning the Elechomes LOGO with the power knob.
-
Fill the Water Tank Chamber with purified water or distilled water up to the Max Water Level Line. Do not overfill. DO NOT ADD WATER TO THE BASE.
-
Push the Essential Oil Tray to pop it out, add 3-5 drops of essential oil into the Aromatherapy Cotton.
-
Plug into a electrical wall outlet.
-
Power Knob:
Rotate the Power Knob to the right to adjust mist output from low to high.
Low mist mode is suggested while using the humidifier at night.
To turn unit Off completely, turn Power Knob to the left until it clicks.
Note: The mist strength is adjustable. If there is water around the machine during use, it means that the humidity in the room is too high. Please adjust to appropriate mist strength.
Water Shortage
- When the product is running and you take out the water tank, it will automatically stop spraying mis, and the indicator light will turns green to red. After the water tank is put back, the product will automatically restart spraying mist.
- When the water level is low, it will automatically stop spraying mist, and the indicator light will turns green to red. The indicator light will turn back to green and the humidifier will automatically resume spraying mist when you add enough water to the water tank.
Note: Lifting the water tank may not automatically shut down the humidifier
when there is no water in the water tank but the machine is still spraying.
(the status indicator light is still green, and the atomizer is spraying
mist). Because the remaining water in the base sink is not below the lowest
water level, it is a normal situation. We recommended rotating the power knob
to turn off the machine before lifting the water tank to avoid spraying
atomized water on the desktop.
Maintenance
-
Clean the water tank, water box, and atomizing plate once every two weeks. Make sure to unplug the device before cleaning.
-
Due to the higher water hardness in some areas, the surface of atomizing plate is prone to accumulate scale faster. Users should wash them regularly with detergent, and clean the inside of the water tank and the water box every week under the following instruction: Place 5 drops of dish soap on the surface of the atomizing plate. Pour in approximately 30ml of water. Use a dish brush or sponge to clean the atomizing plate, and water box until all limescale is removed. Drain the dirty water and rinse the device twice.
-
Do not immerse the water box, water tank in hot water while cleaning.
-
There is an air inlet at the bottom of the machine. When cleaning, do not immerse the bottom of the machine in water to avoid water entering into the machine from the air inlet and damaging the machine.
-
External cleaning of humidifier: wipe the exterior surface with a soft wet cloth(the water temperature should below 104°F.)
-
Do not use hard cleaning tools or chemical detergents when cleaning to avoid damaging the parts.
-
Replace the water in the water tank on a regular basis to keep the product clean.
-
When the product is not in use for a long time, please pour out all the water and keep it dry.
Important Notes
- Keep this unit out of reach of children and pets.
- Do not put the product directly on the wooden floor to avoid dampness and causing deformation.
- Please place the product 2 meters away from furniture and electrical appliances to avoid dampness.
- When the room temperature is below zero, please pour out the water in the water tank and water box to avoid the damage caused by ice.
- Please don’t put metal products, chemicals or detergents into the water box, otherwise bad atomization will occur.
- When pouring out the water in the water box, please turn off the power supply and unplug the power cord.
- Never pour water into the mist nozzle and the air outlet.
- When cleaning, make sure that water does not flow into the base.
