IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS HEATER.

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce risk of fire, electrical shock and injury to persons or property, including the following:

When switching on the appliance for the first time, allow it to run at full power for about two hours to get rid of the odour. Make sure that the room in which the appliance is located is well ventilated during this procedure. It is normal for the appliance to emit small crackling sounds when your turn it on for the first time.

  1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
  2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid bums, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3’/1 m from the front and top of the heater and keep them away from the sides and rear. Keep the rear grille away from walls or drapes soas not to block the air intake.
  3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near children, pets or the disabled and whenever the heater is left operating and unattended.
  4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
  5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after the heater malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.
  6. Do not use outdoors. This product is intended for normal household use only.
  7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water containers.
  8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with throw nigs or runners. Arrange cord away from high traffic areas where it will not be tripped over. Route the cord so that it will not be walked on, or pinched by furniture.
  9. To disconnect the heater, turn control to “OFF, then remove the plug from outlet
  10. This appliance has a polarized plug. This plug is intended to fit a polarized outlet only one way If the plug does not fitfully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not lit, consult a qualified electrician. Do not connect the heater to an extension cord, surge protector, timer, direct breaker or an outlet with other appliances connected to the same outlet. Risk of fire, overheating, malfunctioning, property damage, injury or even death may result if not adhered to.
  11. Connect to properly polarized outlets only.
  12. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock, fire, or damage to the heater.
  13. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where openings may become blocked.
  14. The heater has hot or arcing or sparking pads inside. Do not use it in areas where gasoline, paint or flammable liquids are used or stored.
  15. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, injury to persons or damage to property.
  16. This heater must be plugged into a 120V, 15 amp (or more) circuit of its own. Nothing else can be plugged into the same circuit. If unsure if your home meets this specification, consult a certified electrician prior to use. Risk of fire, overheating, malfunctioning, property damage, injury or even death may result if not adhered to.
  17. To prevent overload and blown fuses and breakers, be sure that no other appliance is plugged into the same outlet or into another outlet wired into the same circuit.
  18. It is normal for the heater’s plug and coni to feel warm to the touch. A plug or cord which becomes hot to the touch or becomes distorted in shape may be a result of a worn electrical outlet. Worn outlets should be replaced prior to further use of the heater. Plugging heater into a worn outlet may result in overheating of the power cord or fire.
  19. Ensure the heater is on a stable, secure surface to eliminate the potential of it tipping over.
  20. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap (outlet/power strip).
  21. Be sure that the plug is fully inserted into the appropriate outlet/receptacle. Periodically check that your outlet is in good condition to avoid overheating or deformation of the plug.
  22. Check that neither the appliance or the power cable has been damaged in any way during transportation.
  23. Make sure that no pieces of polystyrene or other packaging materials have been left on the appliance. It may be necessary to pass over the appliance with a vacuum cleaner.
  24. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  25. The humidifier can only use tap water. Do not use untreated water from any other source.
  26. Ensure that the water tank does not have any water on top and that the cover is tightened before it is put back on the machine.

CAUTION: TO PREVENT ELECTRIC SHOCK, MATCH WIDE BLADE OF PLUG TO WIDE SLOT RECEPTACLE, FULLY INSERT.

Pet Owner’s Warning: The health of some small pets including birds are extremely sensitive to the fumes produced during the first time use of many appliances. These fumes are not harmful to humans, but we recommend that you do not use your heater around birds and small pets during its Initial use until the manufacturing corrosion (anti-corrosion) coatings burn off.

SAFETY FEATURES

Overheat Protection: This heater includes an overheat protection system that shuts the unit off when parts of the heater overheat. If this occurs, turn the heater off, unplug it, and inspect and remove any objects on or adjacent to the heater that may cause high temperatures. Wait 10 to 20 minutes for the unit to cool down. Then plug it back in, and resume the normal operation.

Power Indicator Light: This heater is equipped with a power indicator light, which lights up whenever the heater is plugged in and turned on.

Be sure to plug into a 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Check that the plug and the socket fit well, then you can operate the appliance.

When you press the power switch, the heater will beep and a red power light will turn on. You can choose different modes by touching the button.

  1. When you press the heat button it turns on the fan and PTC, and an orange light will turn on. Press again and the indicator will turn off and the PTC will stop working, but the fan will work for30 seconds after.

  2. When you press the OSC button it turns on the motor and the heater will oscillate, press it again and it will turn off the oscillation.

  3. When you press the humidifier button it turns on the humidifier. A gentle mist will be emitted from the tank. Before using this option, please ensure that there is tap water in the tank. Do not overfill beyond the max line on the tank. After filling, dry the outer surface of the tank and place the tank back in position after tightening the cover. Press again and it will turn off the humidifier.

  4. The product has tip over protection. If the product is tipped over, place the product upright and resume normal operation.

  5. Working time: The heater will turn off 8 hour after you turn the unit on. The humidifier will turn off after 5 1/2 hours.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Before any cleaning:

  1. Make sure the heater is turned OFF.
  2. Disconnect power supply at source by removing plug from power outlet.

Regular cleaning:

  1. Interior dust can often be removed by using a vacuum cleaner with a crevice tool attachment.
  2. Do not spray cleaning liquid or other chemicals on the unit.
  3. To clean the exterior, use a clean, soft and lightly damp cloth to gently wipe off the dirt from the surface of the unit. Be sure not to wet the heating element and the switches. Allow the unit to dry completely before using it.

CAUTION: DO NOT ALLOW WATER TO RUN INTO THE INTERIOR OF THE HEATER AS THIS COULD CREATE A FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD, DAMAGING THE UNIT.

Storage:

  1. Perform the cleaning procedures noted above and wipe all parts dry.
  2. Pack the heater in its original box and store in a cool dry place.

WARRANTY: Home Hardware Stores Limited warrants this product against defects In any parts or workmanship for a period of 1 year from the original purchase date. This product is for residential use only. It is not intended to be used in commercial or industrial settings. This product warranty covers only the original consumer purchaser of the product.

WARRANTY COVERAGE: This warranty is void if the product has been damaged by accident, neglect, improper handling or operation, shipping damage, abuse, misuse, unauthorized repairs made or attempted, alterations, improper assembly/ installation or maintenance, commercial use or other causes not arising out of defect in materials or workmanship. This warranty does not extend to any units which have been altered or modified or to damage to products or parts there of which have had the serial number removed, altered, defaced or rendered illegible. Return to the closest Home Hardware store for inspection and/or replacement.

IMPLIED WARRANTIES: Any implied warranties which the purchaser may have are limited in duration to 1 year from the date of purchase. This limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and excludes all liability for incidental or consequential damages for any cause whatsoever.

WARRANTY PERFORMANCE: During the above 1 year warranty period, a product with a defect will be replaced when the product is returned to an authorized dealer. The replacement product will be in warranty for the balance of the 1 year warranty period and an additional one month period. No charge will be made for such replacement.
