Caution
Please observe the following basic instructions to avoid endangering yourself or others and to prevent damage to external devices.

Warnings

  • Do not disassemble or make any modifications to the product. This could result in injury from electric shock.
  • If you notice that the power cable shows clear signs of use, the device malfunctions, smells burnt or smokes, unplug the device immediately and entrust a specialist workshop with any necessary repair, service and maintenance work or contact your dealer.
  • Before cleaning the product, turn it off and disconnect it from the power supply.
  • Always place the product on a level, stable surface to ensure safe standing.
  • Do not use the product in a damp or wet environment.
  • Do not place vessels filled with liquids, such as vases, glasses or bottles, on the product. Do not place small objects on it that could slip in, such as hairpins, sewing needles or coins.

Precautions

  • To avoid damage to the product, do not place it in places with high temperatures or a lot of dust, do not place it directly next to an air conditioner, and avoid direct sunlight.
  • Do not place the item near other electrical equipment to avoid interference.
  • Do not use force of any kind when handling the product and do not place heavy objects on it. Disconnect the device from the power supply if you are not going to use it for a long period of time. To disconnect the device from the power, please pull the plug, not the cable.
  • Please handle the power cable with care. It should not be placed near radiators, you should not place heavy objects on it, and you should lay it in such a way that no person could step on it or fall over it.

Mains voltage

  • If an external power supply is required for use, connect it to a power outlet with the correct voltage.
  • Do not connect the device to a different mains voltage than the one for which your product is intended.
  • Unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet when not in use or during lightning storms.

Battery
Make sure that the battery compartment is always securely closed. Observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries. Batteries do not belong in household waste! Please dispose of empty batteries at appropriate collection points or municipal disposal points. If you do not use the device for a longer period of time, please remove the batteries.

Location
Do not expose the product to the following conditions to avoid deformation, discoloration or major damage:
Direct sunlight, extreme temperature or humidity, excessively dusty or dirty place, strong vibration or shock, strong magnetic fields.

Cleaning
Clean the product only with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use paint thinners, solvents, cleaning fluids or chemically impregnated wipes.

Handling
Do not exert excessive force on controls such as switches, knobs, buttons, mounting screws. Do not insert paper, metal or other objects inside. In this case, unplug the power
adapter/power cord from the power outlet. Then have the device checked by qualified service personnel.

1. User interface and basic operation

  • Press the POWER “1” button to turn the power on or off.

Note: To save energy, the device will turn off automatically after 30 minutes of non-use. You can adjust or turn off the power saving function in the function menu.

  • Turn the VOLUME knob “2” clockwise to increase the output volume or counterclockwise to decrease it.
  • Press the OCTAVE “3” button and use the + or – “10” buttons to adjust the octave range of the keyboard.
  • Press the TRANSPOSE “4” button and use the + or – “10” buttons to transpose up or down in semitone steps.
  • Press the SUSTAIN “5” button to turn the sustain function on or off.
  • Press the SONG “6” button to enter the song selection mode and use the + or – “10” buttons to scroll through the songs.
  • Press the RHYTHM “7” button to enter the rhythm selection mode and use the + or – “10” buttons to scroll through the rhythms.
  • Press the SOUND “8”button to enter the sound selection mode and use the + or – “10” buttons to scroll through the sounds.
  • Press the METRONOME “9” button to start or stop the metronome.
  • Press the Play/Stop “11” button to start or stop the currently selected rhythm or song.
  • The sounds of the keyboard are arranged in ten categories for easy access. These categories can be selected directly in sound mode by pressing the respective number/symbol button “12”. By pressing the button several times, you move through the sound selection of the respective category. The symbols of the number/symbol buttons “12” stand for the following categories:

In rhythm or song mode, the number/symbol “12” buttons operate as number input keys, giving you direct access to the desired rhythm or song.

Note: If you enter a one- or two-digit number, wait a few seconds after entering it until it is accepted.

2. Rear connections and battery operation

The USB-C socket “13” is used for MIDI data transmission to a PC and/or for power supply.
Connect this jack to any 5V (min. 500mA) USB interface such as a PC USB slot or USB power supply using the supplied USB cable to power the instrument.

Connect this jack to your PC using the included USB cable to transfer MIDI data. No external driver is required for this, but a MIDI-capable APP (not included) is required.

Use the 3.5mm headphone jack “14” to connect the device to headphones or an external amplifier system. The internal speaker is deactivated in this case.

Note: Please be aware that too high volume or too long use of headphones can cause hearing damage. Before plugging in headphones, turn the volume control to the minimum volume and then gently select the desired level.

The instrument can be operated with 4 x 1.5V AA batteries. Make sure that the battery compartment “15” on the underside of the instrument is always securely closed. Observe the correct polarity when inserting the batteries. If you do not use the instrument for a longer period of time, please remove the batteries.

3. Special functions

Press and hold the three lowest keys of the keyboard simultaneously to enter the function mode. The display shows “En9”. Now press the key assigned to the desired function (see graphic) and then release all four keys again. The display now shows the set value of the respective function. Change this using the – and + buttons. The instrument switches back to standard mode automatically after approx. 3 seconds.
