- x1 USB Charger Body (DIY KIT ONLY)
- x4 Heat Shrink Solder Seal Wire Connectors
Before Installation
Read through this entire instruction manual before installation. Check that the Key is off and remove the 15A fuse from your Cigarette lighter is pulled. DO NOT use with a fuse larger than 15A.
Installation
If you have the Plug and Play version, simply and carefully remove your dash
bezel with a Phillips screwdriver then disconnect your cigarette lighter from
the main wire harness. After feeding the USB Chargers wire through the dash
bezel plug it into the main harness where your cigarette lighter was plugged
into. Next, plug the cigarette lighter into the USB Chargers another open end.
Replace the 15A fuse and test the charger. The Plug and Play version will only
work when the Key is in the “ON” position. Turning on your headlights will
activate the backlight. After verifying everything is in good working order
simply reinstall your dash bezel.
If you have the DIY Version.
The Solid Red wire is the USB Chargers Positive (+) wire. The White Wire with
Black Stripe is the USB Chargers Ground (-) wire. The Solid Black wire is the
Backlights Ground Wire. The Solid Blue wire is the backlight Positive (+)
wire. DO NOT reverse the wires, doing so will void your warranty and destroy
the USB Charger. If wiring the USB charger on its own circuit use a 7.5A Fuse.
The installer is responsible for proper installation. The DIY version comes
with x4 Heat shrink solder wire connectors, to use these connectors a QR code
with a tutorial is included at the bottom of the page.
