Operation How-to
Power on Press and release the SYNC button.
Add doorbell to Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime Press and hold the SYNC button until you

hear a beep.
Power off the doorbell| Quick-press the SYNC 5 times in 3 seconds.
Reset the doorbell| Press and hold the SYNC button for 10 seconds.

HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS

The video doorbell system includes 2 parts:

  • The video doorbell at your door
  • The Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime in your house

The video doorbell detects motion at your porch and allows you to answer the door anytime and anywhere. The Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime stores video clips on a microSD card (user provides it) and works as an indoor digital chime. When someone rings the doorbell, people in the house will be notified.

System Working Instructions

STEP 1 POWERING ON THE WI-FI DOORBELL CHIME

Connect the Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime to the Internet

  1. Fix the power connector to Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime.

  2. Place the power connector over Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime in the direction the arrows indicate.

  3. Align the raised slots of the power connector with the notch on the base of the doorbell chime.

  4. Rotate clockwise to lock the power connector in place.

  5. Extend Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime’s antennas.

  6. Plug Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime into an AC power supply at your desired location. The LED indicator turns solid green when the doorbell chime is ready for setup.

STEP 2 SETTING UP THE SYSTEM

Download the App and Set up the System

Download the eufy Security app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).

Sign up for a eufy Security account and follow onscreen instructions to complete the setup.

Tap Add Device and add the following devices:

  1. Add the Wii-Fi Doorbell Chime.
  2. Add the doorbell.

STEP 3 CHARGING YOUR DOORBELL

The doorbell comes with an 80% battery level for safe transportation. Fully charge it before mounting the doorbell at your front door.

Note: The battery life varies depending on usage. In most common cases, a doorbell may have up to 15 events per day and each recording lasts 20 seconds on average. Under this scenario, the doorbell battery life can last up to 4 months.

STEP 4 FINDING A MOUNTING SPOT

Find a Mounting Spot

Take the Video Doorbell to your front door and check the live view on the eufy Security app at the same time. Find a position where you can get the desired field of view.

Consider the below factors:

  1. Check if you can reuse the existing holes and anchors on the wall or door frame.
  2. If you want to place the doorbell close to a side wall, make sure the wall doesn’t show up in the field of view. Otherwise IR light will be reflected and night vision will become blurry.
  3. If you are drilling the mounting holes for the first time the recommended mounting height is 48″ / 1.2m from the ground.
  4. Use the 15° mounting wedge as a supplementary mounting bracket if you wish to see more on a specific side.

STEP 5 MOUNTING THE BRACKET

Mount the Doorbell on a Wooden Surface

If you’re mounting the doorbell on a wooden surface, you don’t need to pre- drill pilot holes. Use the provided screws to secure the Mounting Bracket on the wall. The Screw Hole Positioning Card indicates the position of the screw holes.

Mount the Video Doorbell on Surfaces Made Out of Hard Materials

  1. If you’re mounting the doorbell on a surface made out of hard materials, like brick, concrete, stucco, drill 2 holes through the Screw Hole Positioning Card with 15/64”(6mm) drill bit.
  2. Insert the provided anchors, and then use the provided long screws to secure the Mounting Bracket on the wall.

Align the doorbell with the top of the mount and then snap the bottom into place.

  2. Insert and press the detaching pin into the hole on the bottom of the doorbell and then lift to take the bottom of the doorbell off

Why is the Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime not responding?

Make sure that the Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime is powered on. If it is, then make sure that you have connected the Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime to the same wireless network as your phone or computer.

What if I have more than one doorbell?

You can connect up to 4 doorbells to one Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime. However, you will need to purchase an additional chime for every 2 doorbells.

How do I set up a second Wi-Fi Doorbell Chime?

You will need to connect your second doorbell chime to a different wireless network from your first doorbell chime. You can do this by connecting it directly to your modem or router using an ethernet cable (not included) or by connecting it wirelessly using a second wireless access point (not included).

What SD card does EUFY doorbell use?

Users need to purchase one separately or use their spare micro-SD card. The supposed capacity is up to 128GB, which is more than enough to store 90-day history.

Can you tell the difference between EUFY 1080p and 2K?

The 1080p resolution, known as Full HD, is 1920 pixels horizontally and 1080 pixels vertically; on the other hand, the 2K resolution, known as Quad HD, is 2560 pixels horizontally and 1440 pixels vertically. Devices with higher pixels generally provide clearer video recordings and higher quality images.

Do Eufy cameras have zoom?

To zoom in on Eufy Camera, you have to be on the viewing page of your video recordings, or live streaming page. Since the Eufy zoom feature is digital zoom, zooming can be done in the software. All you have to do is to pinch, and zoom your footage to view things that are far away.

How long is Eufy record?

In the Eufy app’s settings, you can set them to record to the maximum time, which is 120 seconds (2 minutes). But for the battery-models, the recording length can be as low as 20 seconds (this is covered more in the next section).

Can EUFY doorbell show on TV?

You can connect your Eufy Camera to your SMART TV using various ways. Try making your smart TV a smart hub/control center by using Fire TV (Alexa), Apple TV (Apple HomeKit), or Chromecast (Google Home). When that is done, you can connect your Eufy services directly to the TV choices you make.

Does EUFY doorbell work without wifi?

You can use the Eufy Video Doorbell without Wi-Fi, barring some features like mobile notifications. Nevertheless, you will be notified if someone rings the doorbell and videos can be recorded without Wi-Fi.

Does Eufy automatically delete recordings?

Eufy has recently made a change to automatically delete clips stored longer than 3 months.

Can I view my EUFY doorbell on my computer?

Yes. For Windows computer users, please access the web portal to view cameras’ LiveView on a desktop. Here is the link for your reference: https://mysecurity.eufylife.com/#/login. You can log in with your registered eufySecurity account and password.

Can EUFY doorbell be hacked?

It is very unlikely that your Eufy camera will be hacked. Its information is encrypted, meaning that only certain users can access it. Additionally, Eufy cameras are programmed with a military-grade AES-256 chip. This is the same hardware that the NSA uses to safeguard information.
