Oase OxyMax 100 Air Pump for Aquariums
PACKAGE CONTENT
SAFETY INFORMATION
This unit can be used by children aged 8 and above and by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the
unit in a safe way and they understand the hazards involved.
Do not allow children to play with the unit.
Only allow children to carry out cleaning and user maintenance under
supervision.
Safe operation
- Switch off all units in the aquarium or disconnect the power plugs of all units before reaching into the water.
- Never operate the unit if either the electrical cables or the housing are defective!
- Do not carry or pull the unit by its electrical cable.
- Route cables/hoses such that they are protected from damage and do not pre‐ sent a tripping hazard.
- Only open the unit housing or its attendant components, when this is explicitly required in the operating instructions.
- Only carry out work on the unit that is described in this manual. If problems cannot be overcome, please contact an authorised customer service point or, when in doubt, the manufacturer.
- Only use original spare parts and accessories for the unit.
- Never carry out technical modifications to the unit.
- Power connection cables cannot be re‐ placed. If a cable is damaged, dispose of the respective unit or components.
Electrical connection
- Only connect the unit if the electrical data of the unit and the power supply coincide. The unit data is to be found on the unit type plate, on the packaging or in this manual.
- Protect the plug connections from moisture.
- Only plug the unit into a correctly fitted socket.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Intended use OxyMax 100/200/400, referred to in the following as “unit”, may only be used as specified in the following:
-
For aeration and supplying oxygen to an aquarium.
-
Operation under observance of the technical data.
The following restrictions apply to the unit: -
Only use indoors and outside of the aquarium.

Do not use for commercial or industrial purposes.
-
Do not use in conjunction with chemicals, foodstuff, easily flammable or explosive substances.
INSTALLATION AND CONNECTION

Set-up the unit

Always install the unit higher than the water level. This prevents water from possibly flowing back into the pump.

Use the fastening lug for installation.

Route the power connection cable such that it forms a drip loop.
When installing the unit, ensure that it -
is located outside the aquarium is not placed on or over the aquarium
-
cannot fall into the water or move out of position.
Damage resulting from incorrect installation is not basis for a claim within the framework of the guarantee or warranty.
Connect the unit
- Keep the air hose as short as possible and lay it well protected.
- Connect the aeration stone to the air hose and position the aeration stone in the pond.
- Attach the free end of the air hose to the air outlet on the unit.
COMMISSIONING/START-UP
NOTE
Never operate an air connection by itself, i. e. without the tube and aerator
connected.
Switching on : Connect the unit to the mains. The unit switches on as
soon as the power connection is established.
Switching off : Disconnect the unit from the mains.
Adjusting the air quantity and bubble pattern C
Air quantity : Adjust the air quantity by turning the air connection
control knob. Bubble pattern : Take the aerator out of the wa- ter and
adjust the bubble pattern at the aerator using a coin. Adhere to the safety
instructions!
WEAR PARTS
The following components are wear parts and are excluded from the warranty:
- Aerator, filter felt discs, membrane!
REMEDY OF FAULTS

Aerator soiled | Clean or replace the aerator. | |

Air hose kinked or porous | Lay the air hose without kinks or replace. | |

The unit is unusually loud | Membrane is defective | Replace the membrane |

Replacing the filter felt in the unit
How to proceed:
- Turn the unit over and replace both felt discs in the housing base.
- Reassemble the unit in the reverse order.
Replacing the filter felt in the aerator
How to proceed:
- Take the aerator out of the water.
- Open the aerator using a coin and replace the felt disc.
- Close the aerator again.
Replacing the membrane
Fitting instructions are supplied with the spare part.
DISPOSAL
Do not dispose of this unit with domestic waste! For disposal purposes, please use the return system provided. Render the unit unusable before- hand by cutting the cables.
