OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING/CORDLESS OPERATION
-
Before using the trimmer for the first time, charge continuously for 3 hours. Maximum battery capacity will be reached only after 3 charging and discharging cycles.
-
To charge the trimmer, first make sure it is switched off. Insert the type C USB cord into the bottom of the trimmer, then insert the USB cord into the USB adapter with output 5.0V DC, 1000mA. Plug the adapter into any wall outlet at the voltage listed on the label affixed to the adapter. Unplug adapter when not in use.
-
The adapter may become warm while charging. This is normal.
-
Once the appliance is fully charged, the charging light will stop flashing, but remain on. Unplug the adapter from the outlet, then the appliance, and prepare for use.
NOTE: As an extra safety feature, this trimmer is designed to not operate while charging. -
A full charge will supply 60 minutes of cordless runtime.
-
To maintain optimum capacity of the rechargeable battery, it is highly recommended to fully discharge and then recharge the trimmer for 3 hours every 6 months.
WARNING: If the charging light suddenly starts to flash rapidly, the appliance is faulty. If this happens, stop charging, remove the adapter from the outlet and contact our Customer Care Center for further advice (see the Warranty section of this information booklet).
TRIMMER CHARGING PRECAUTIONS
- Avoid charging the battery at temperatures below 41°F (5°C) or above 95°F (35°C).

- Slide the trimmer blade into the space under the comb guide (see Fig. 1).
- Click the guide into position by gently pressing the back of the guide down onto the back of the blade (see Fig. 2).
- The comb guide should click under the back of the metal blade.
5-POSITION COMB GUIDE
- Slide the trimmer blade into the space under the comb guide (see Fig. 3).

- Lift the comb away (see Fig 6).
GETTING STARTED OUTLINING YOUR BEARD
- It is always best to begin with a clean, slightly damp beard (NOT WET).
- After you have combed through your beard in the direction it grows naturally, you will want to outline the desired shape, beginning under your jawline.
- Begin defining your beard’s shape under your chin and work upward on each side of your face toward your ears. Then define the upper outline of your beard across your cheeks, past your sideburns, and toward your hairline.
TRIMMING YOUR BEARD
- The trimmer includes a 5-position comb for use with the hair trimming blade (2–10mm), which provides lengths of 3/32″ (shortest) to 3/8″ (longest).
- To use the 5-position comb, slide the unit over the trimmer blade and snap it down into position. At first, until you become familiar with the adjustments, use the longest trim setting (you can always go back and make your beard a little shorter).
- Begin trimming your beard using smooth, even strokes. Start with your sideburns and work downward toward your chin (never attempt to trim against the natural growth of your beard because the hair will be cut too short).
- If you decide you want a closer trim, you can now adjust the 5-position comb attachment to a shorter setting (such as 3/32″ or 5/32″) and go over your beard again until you achieve the desired length.
TRIMMING YOUR MUSTACHE
- Start with a clean, slightly damp mustache (NOT WET).
- Comb through your mustache in the direction it grows.
- Start with the 5-position attachment comb on the longest setting, as you can always go back and shorten the length as desired.
- Trim your mustache from the top down; finish by outlining the bottom of your mustache.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
- The three jawline attachments will help you to achieve a neat, finished trim under your chin. To use one of the attachments, press it down over the trimmer blade until it clicks into position.
- Hold the trimmer in an upright position and begin trimming under your jawline, using short, even strokes.
- After your beard is blended, turn off the trimmer and remove the attachment by gently pulling up on tab.
USING THE DETAILING BLADE
- To clean up the edges around your cut (e.g., neckline and sideburns), detach the comb guides.
- Hold the appliance upside down, so the front of the trimmer is facing toward your head.
- Hold the trimmer blade straight on your sideburns or neckline and move the trimmer blade downward. This will give you a clean, smooth finish.
HOW TO GET THE STUBBLE LOOK
This trimmer includes 5 stubble combs. These combs allow you to achieve 5
different looks of stubble or shadow with your existing growth. Attach comb #1
to trim closest to skin for lightest stubble, and comb #5 to leave the most
stubble. The stubble combs fit on the blade just like the jawline combs.
USING THE NOSE & EAR TRIMMER
- Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF position.
- Insert the pin of the trimmer body into the hexagonal hole of the nose and ear trimmer head as shown (Fig. 7).
- Press and snap the trimmer head onto the body as shown (Fig. 8).
- Use trimmer in a circular motion. Insert no more than 1/4″ into nostril or ear canal.
- To detach the nose and ear trimmer: Hold the trimmer as shown (Fig. 9), with the thumb pressing the top, front part of the trimmer head, and snap it off.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
- To maintain optimal performance, the appliance should be cleaned after each use.
- Remove the comb guide after use. Rinse comb under running wate
- Remove the trimmer head after use. The heads are washable and clean easily. Rinse under running water and dry thoroughly before storage or use.
- Do not disassemble the blades.
- For optimal cutting performance, we highly recommend oiling the blades after every use. Please refer to OILING THE BLADES for instructions.
