KYOCERA DURAFORCE PRO 2
The mobile hotspot capability on your Kyocera DuraForce PRO 2 with Sapphire Shield smartphone allows you to turn your phone into a sharable Wi-Fi hotspot. And, when paired with Verizon’s blazing fast and most awarded 4G LTE data network, your office can be virtually anywhere!
TO SET UP THE HOTSPOT FEATURE ON YOUR DURAFORCE PRO 2
- From the Home screen, tap [Apps] > [Settings] > [Network & internet] > [Mobile Hotspot & tethering] > [Mobile Hotspot]
- Tap the [OFF] icon under Mobile Hotspot to turn the hotspot capability on, if not already enabled
- Tap the [OFF] icon next to Broadcast channel name to turn on and make hotspot visible for sharing
- Share the Hotspot password with your group
- Confirm the Hotspot active icon appears at the top of the status bar
- To see how many devices are connected, go to [Settings] > [Network & internet] > [Tethering & Mobile Hotspot] > [Mobile Hotspot]
PREVENT HOTSPOT FROM TURNING OFF DUE TO INACTIVITY, OR TO USE QUICK
SETTINGS TO QUICKLY TURN HOTSPOT ON/OFF

If you plan on using the hotspot for an extended period and don’t want it to turn off
automatically after periods of inactivity: Tap [Advanced] > [Timeout settings] and tap [Never turn-off] -
Alternatively, use the quick setting to turn Hotspot ON/OFF as needed and allow it to turn off after inactivity to save battery power. To access quick settings, simply swipe down from the top of your home screen and add the hotspot icon.
PERSONALIZING YOUR HOTSPOT FEATURE (OPTIONAL)
- To edit your Hotspot name (SSID – Service Set Identifier) tap [Hotspot name] enter a new name and tap [OK] to save
- To change the password, tap [Hotspot password] , enter a new password and tap [OK] to save
To conserve battery, keep the display off and connected to the AC adapter that
came with your device.
