OPERATION
- Only connect the appliance to a mains outlet corresponding to the voltage as indicated on the appliance rating plate.
- Turn the selector switch clockwise to set the toasting level from the lightest stage 1 to the darkest stage 5. If in any doubt, start with the lower setting (the black mark on the selector switch shows you the setting).
- Insert sliced bread into the toasting slot and push down the lever until it locks.
- The appliance starts toasting. The appliance switches off immediately once the set degree of toasting has been reached. The toast then pops up automatically.
- The appliance has a heat-insulated “cool-touch” casing. However, as metal parts still heat up during operation, please allow cooling down before you put it away.
- Only allow 2 slices of the toast to be toasted at a time.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
If you wish to use the special functions, press the button you wish to select
once you have pushed down the lever: REHEAT or DEFROST. The corresponding
control lamp displays the function.
DEFROSTING: To defrost and toast deep-frozen bread
REHEATING: To reheat toasted bread
CANCEL: To stop toasting prematurely
BAGEL: While operating the Bagel function the central heating elements
will heat up not the outer wall elements.
INTEGRATED GRILL: For toasting buns or cut sliced bread
CLEANING
- Before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
- Use a moderately damp cloth to clean the outside of the appliance.
- Do not use any aggressive or scrubbing detergents.
- To remove crumb residue remove the base plate, empty it, and slide it back in place.

- This appliance has been fitted with a BS UK compliant plug which should not be replaced or removed.
- The plug is fitted with a 13 amp fuse link which is suitable for this type of appliance and should only be replaced by a fuse link of the same rating.
- If access to the fuse link is only possible by removing the plug cover this must only be done by a suitably qualified person.
- If the plug or the mains cable of this appliance is damaged do not use and dispose of the appliance responsibly.
- This appliance is earthed.
