Farm Stacking Kit Assembly takes about 20 minutes

  1. Assemble your AeroGarden Farms as shown in the Assembly Guide.

  2. Select the location for your vertical Farm and position the Farm that you want to place on the bottom. Ideally, the Farms should be stacked in a place without direct sunlight or sources of heat and cold, such as radiators or air conditioning vents.
    NOTE:
Farm 24s can only be stacked over other Farm 24 models.
Farm 12s can only be stacked over other Farm 12 models.
Farm 12s cannot stack over Farm 24s.

  3. Insert one of the Stacking Attachments A over each of the Metal Frames Left & Right as pictured.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly

  4. For the Farm that will go on top, unplug the main electrical cord (as shown) and remove and set aside the Water Bowls.
You may also want to temporarily remove your LED Lights or tie them to the top to prevent them from swinging.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly

  5. Lay the top Farm carefully on its back (as pictured). Using a  Phillips Head screwdriver, remove the feet at the bottom of Metal Frames Left & Right by removing their two Metal Screws on each side.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly 2

  6. With someone else’s assistance, raise the Farm without feet and set it on top of the bottom Farm, inserting the Metal Frames Left & Right over the Stacking Attachments A as pictured. The Stacking Attachments will now be holding both upper and lower Metal Frames together.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly 3

  7. Remove adhesive from Pad B and stick to inner top side of Clamp C.
Then, secure the Stacking Attachment A to both Metal Frames (upper and lower) using the Clamp C with Pad already attached.
Secure each side from under the Stacking Attachment, as pictured, with 2 10MM Washers J and 2 M6 Screws F. Hand tighten as needed with the included tool I.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly 4

  8. To prevent accidental tipping of your stacked gardens, use the wall mount attachments to secure your top Farm to your wall following these steps:
    A. Determine the best location for your garden. You will either screw into studs or to drywall. The Stacking Kit is set to work with either.
    B. Measure 4 inches down from the underside of the Top of your AeroGarden Farm, as pictured. This is where you will attach the Mounting Brackets D.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly 5 C. Use a level and ruler to center one of the Mounting  Brackets D behind the Left or Right Metal Frame, as shown.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly 6D. Using a pencil, mark the locations of the screws that will mount the bracket to the wall, then set the bracket aside. Do this for both sides. The Mounting Brackets D are made to allow for some degree of error in the installation.
    E. Using the 1/8” drill bit, drill a hole 2-1/2 inches deep into the wall at the locations you have marked. Follow mounting instructions for either mounting in dry wall or in a stud. Remember, you may have a mixture of wall types you are mounting to.
    F. Mounting in Drywall:
For each hole, you will need to mount a drywall anchor. First, re-drill into holes using the 1/4” drill bit. Then, using a hammer or mallet, carefully tap in the Drywall Anchor with Screw H (as shown), until the tip and metal part are completely into the wall. Remove the screw and washer. Hammer in the rest of the anchor. Insert 12MM Washer K and screw it back in. Tighten with Phillips head screw driver. Farm Stacking Kit Assembly
7G. Mounting in Studs:
Hold the wall mounting bracket on the wall, lining it up with the pilot hole you just drilled.
    H. For each pilot hole, screw M5 Screws G.
    I. Slide your Farms back against the wall and center the Metal Frames with the Mounting Brackets D.Farm Stacking Kit Assembly
8 J. Use the Hanging Bracket E to secure your AeroGarden Farm into position. The Hanging Bracket will hug the front of the metal frame and attach (as shown) to the Mounting Bracket D in back. This system allows for some movement, but will prevent your vertical Farm from accidentally tipping over.

  9. Place the Water Bowls back on the upper AeroGarden Farm and release or reinstall your LED lights, if you removed them. Begin planting your AeroGarden Wall Farm per the Quick Planting Guide instructions.
    Happy AeroGardening!
