Warnings
Read this manual carefully and keep it for future reference. All essential test series have been performed and the aforementioned product complies with all legal requirements.

Limits in intended use or foreseeable improper use.

  1. Do not disassemble the device. If a repair is required, contact a Techmade sales center or service.
  2. To avoid electric shock, do not open the unit.
  3.  Keep away from heat sources such as radiators or cookers.
  4.  Do not use the device in the sauna or Turkish bath.
  5. The device must not be exposed to dripping or splashing and objects filled with liquids, such as vases, must not be placed on top of it.
  6.  Do not place the unit near water sources, such as sinks, bathtubs, washing machines, or swimming pools. Make sure that the unit is placed on a dry and stable surface.
  7. Handle the device gently. Protect from bumps and falls.
  8. Do not block the ventilation openings or holes
  9. Do not use accessories not recommended by the product manufacturer as they could cause hazards or damage to the equipment.
  10.  Do not place this product on an uneven surface.
  11.  Avoid exposing yourself directly to the infrared ray between the remote control and the decoder.
  12.  Ensure a minimum distance of 5cm around the appliance to allow sufficient ventilation.
  13.  This product is for use only with the type of power source indicated on the product label.
  14.  Be careful when plugging in the electrical outlet to avoid shock hazards or product damage.
  15.  If the connecting cable is damaged, replace it to avoid shock hazards or product damage.
  16.  If an external antenna is connected to the product, make sure that the antenna system is grounded to provide some protection against voltage spikes and built-up static charges.
  17.  For added protection of the product, unplug the product from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system during a lightning storm or when it is left unattended and unused for extended periods of time. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning or power line surges. Identification of the characteristics of the personnel who will use the machine (physical, competence) and level of training required for the users. No particular training for use. Read the instruction booklet.
    Product warranty 12 months warranty for professional operators. 24 months for the final consumer. Opening or attempting to open the product voids the warranty.

Safety-related
Handle the device gently. Protect the device from bumps and falls.

Cleanliness level
Clean and dry the product regularly. Disconnect the product from the main power supply before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol or other cleaning solutions. Do not wash the product with running water.

Drying
Do not attempt to dry the product using a microwave oven, traditional oven, or hairdryer. Use a dry, lawful cloth.
WEEE instructions
The European directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) provides that these appliances must not be disposed of in the normal municipal solid waste stream, but must be collected separately to optimize the flow of recovery and recycling of the materials that make them up and prevent potential damage to health and the )environment due to the presence of potentially dangerous substances. The crossed-out bin symbol is featured on all products as · a reminder. Waste can be delivered to the appropriate collection – centers or it can be delivered free of charge to the distributor upon purchase of new equivalent equipment or without the obligation of a purchase for equipment smaller than 25cm. Remote controller

All the functions of the decoder can be managed using the supplied remote control.
– Press this button ” ” to turn the appliance on and off.
– Press this button ” ” to activate/ deactivate the audio mute function.
– Press this button ” INFO ” to get information on the current program.
– Press this button ” INFO" to select a language or audio mode.
– Press this button “ to record and play TV programs, movies, etc.
– Press this button ” SUBTITLE" to select the subtitle language.
– Press this button ” MENU ” to access the menu.
– The “CH + / CH-” button allows you to navigate in the menu or to switch to the next/ previous channel.
– Press the button "EXIT ” to return to the previous menu.
– The “V + /V-” button allows you to raise/lower the volume.
– Press the "OK" button to select the highlighted item.
– Press the button ” FAV ” to view or modify the list of favorite programs.
– Press the button "TV/RADIO``" to switch from TV mode to RADIO mode and the other way around.

Instructions

First start
– Make sure that all connections have been made correctly and that the power is connected, then turn on the TV and set-top box.

– Set the TV input mode to match the video connection type of the receiver ( eg HD OUT or TV SCART).

  • Please refer to the instructions for your TV as these names may vary depending on the model and brand of your TV.

Installation Guide

1. OSD Language: Set the default language used for the on-screen display.
2. Country: Set the country where you are using the decoder.
3. FTA only: FTA / All
4. Search mode: DVB-T2/ DVB-C
5. Antenna Power: Power Off/ On
6. Search for channels: Automatically finds the channel signals in the reception range and saves them in the predefined channel list. This list determines which channels are available when you press CH- or CH +. This step is necessary to be able to use the decoder and watch TV thanks to it.

Menu di Sistema

– Premere MENU sul telecomando per accedere al menu di sistema.
Program

1. Edit Channels: Edit the program preferences of the channel.
– REMOVE: press to remove a program from the channel list.
– MOVE: allows you to move the position of the program. Press OK to confirm once you have moved the channel to where you want.
– SKIP: Press to mark the program to be skipped in the channel list.
– LOCK: press to request an access code to view a program. The default passcode is 000000.
– FAV: press to add a program to your favorite channel list. A star indicates that the program is preferred.
– RENAME: press [Green] to change the program name. Use the green key to type in a new name.
2. Program guide:
– Guide: Displays the electronic program guide, this guide shows seven days of channel programming information. Press UP/ DOWN to browse the list.
3. Sort: Change the order of the channels.
4. LCN: display by logical channel number.

2. Manual Search: This allows you to manually add channels to the channel list without overwriting the existing channel list.
Select Manual Search and then press OK.
In the manual search screen, you can enter the frequency and bandwidth, then select “Press OK” and press the OK button to start the search.

Time

1. Region and Time: This allows you to set the correct time.
2. Auto Power Off (1 hour): Set a sleep timer. The TV will turn off automatically when the timer ends. Set this option to “Off” to disable it.
3. Standby Showtime: Set whether or not to display the time when the decoder is in standby.
4. Power On/ Off: This allows you to set the time when the appliance turns on or off automatically.

Option
1. OSD Language: Sets the language used by the system menu and other on- screen display items.
2. Guide Language: Set the guide language.
3. Subtitle Language: Set the subtitle language.
4. TTX language: Set the Teletext language.
5. First Audio Language: Set the first audio language.
6. Second audio language: Set the second audio language.
7. Digital audio: Auto / PCM / Bypass

SystemTECHMADE DVB T2 Decoder Receiver -system

1. Parental supervision: this option is protected by the password “000000”. Set the age that is not allowed to watch the program.
2. Set Password: Set or change the password. This option is protected by the redefined password “000000”.
Record the password and keep it safe. The password cannot be reset or recovered.
3. Restore factory settings: All channel lists, favorites, and presets will be lost. This option is protected by the password “000000”.
4. Information: Displays the hardware version and software version information.
5. Software Update: Update the system firmware via USB. An improper software update can make the decoder not work.
Software updates should only be performed by an authorized technician.
6. Network settings: to connect Ethernet line.
7. Power on control: to set the decoder power-on mode.

1. Media Center: Plays media files (files in your device, video, music or picture) of a connected storage device.
A compatible USB device must be connected to the USB port. If no USB device is connected, the unit will report that “No USB device was found”.

  • USB devices must use FAT, FAT32 or NTFS file systems.
    2. PVR Media: to play the file recorded in the memory device.
    3. PVR Setup: To set up timeshift and recording.
    4. Internet: Weather and many other internet functions.

Registration and Timeshift
In order for these functions to be performed, a compatible memory device must be connected to the decoder.
The USB device must support USB2.0 speeds for a successful recording.
The USB device must use the FAT, FAT32, or NTFS file system.

Press ” ” on the remote control to start recording. An icon will appear on the screen that will indicate the correct reception of the command and consequently the start of the recording

Press “ on the remote control to stop recording. Select and press OK to recording. If you don’t want to stop recording, select “Cancel” or press”EXIT “to continue recording.  You can find the recording files in “PVR Melia”.

Start TimeshiftTECHMADE DVB T2 Decoder Receiver - start

While watching a program, press”  “on the remote control to enter the Timeshift function. Press” “on the remote control again to start timeshift and a bar will appear on the screen. When the Timeshift function is active, you will be able to pause the program and perform other possible functions for any video being played.

Press ” ” on the remote control to exit the Timeshift function. Select and press OK to confirm.

Troubleshooting

The decoder does not turn on.
– Check that the AC or DC power cord is securely connected and that the outlet is supplying power.
– The appliance has not been turned on. Press POWER to turn on the unit.
There is no image, the image is distorted.
– Static electricity may have temporarily interfered with the operation of the unit. Turn off and unplug the unit. Then reconnect the unit to power and turn it on again.
– The antenna may not be connected properly. Check that the antenna / RF IN cable connection is secure and properly connected.
– The station of the current channel may have transmission difficulties. Try again later or change the channel.
– Video freezes or becomes distorted (eg tiled or discolored). The TV signal may be too weak. It may be necessary to amplify the signal. You may need a larger or powered antenna.
– The image appears frozen. A frozen image is usually the result of a weak signal. Adjust the antenna or install an antenna amplifier.
– The image has doubled or looks spooky. Double images are usually caused by signal reflections from tall buildings. Adjust the direction of the antenna or try raising it.
– The image is wavy. Wavy patterns on the screen are usually caused by radio transmitters or other devices that interfere with reception. Turn off other devices in the area.
The screen displays a “No Signal” message.
– The antenna cable is not connected properly, make sure the antenna cable is connected.
– The TV format setting is incorrect. Make sure the setting matches your TV
type (for example, NTSC or PAL)
There is no audio
– Make sure your audio connection is set up correctly.
– Make sure the MUTE function is not activated.
– The audio track may not be set correctly. Try changing the active audio track by pressing AUDIO.
There is no video image on the screen, but I can hear the audio.
– Make sure your video connection is set up correctly.
The remote control does not work
– The batteries may be exhausted. Replace the batteries with new ones.
– The remote control may be too far from the sensor. Make sure there are no obstacles between the remote control and the sensor.
