Memorized Devices

  • FIREFLY CHAT can memorize up to 8 paired devices.

INSTALLATION

  1. Connect FIREFLY CHAT’s 3.5mm connector to the AUX (phone jack), and USB connector to the USB jack on the audio system. If a USB jack is not available, use a 5V output USB car charger/adapter instead. Use the extension cable if a longer cable is needed.

PAIRING

ENTER PAIRING MODE

  1. FIREFLY CHAT will enter pairing mode when powered.
  2. LED will flash rapidly when entering pairing mode.

PAIRING WITH SMARTPHONE, TABLET, AND OTHERS

  1. Once the FIREFLY CHAT LED flashes rapidly, search for “TUNAI FIREFLY CHAT” in the Bluetooth menu on your device.
  2. Click on “TUNAI FIREFLY CHAT” to connect, and wait for 3 to 5 seconds.
  3. The LED indicator will stop flashing once paired.

PAIRING WITH 2nd Device

  1. If the 2nd device has never connected with FIREFLY CHAT before.
    (a)Disconnect the first device, and wait until the LED indicator flashes rapidly.
    (b)Repeat the pairing instruction “PAIRING WITH SMARTPHONE, TABLET and OTHER”.
    (c)Once the 2nd device is paired, you can connect your 1St paired device back with FIREFLY CHAT.

  2. If the 2nd device has paired with FIREFLY CHAT before, search for “TUNAI FIREFLY CHAT” in the Bluetooth menu on your device and click on “TUNAI FIREFLY CHAT” to connect.

  3. FIREFLY CHAT can memorize up to 8 paired devices.

RECONNECT

  1. FIREFLY CHAT will automatically search for the LAST paired device once powered. Once a previous last paired device is found, FIREFLY CHAT will request for reconnection automatically.
  2. In case of FIREFLY, CHAT fails to reconnect to the previous device after being powered on, PRESS the “reconnection” button to force FIREFLY CHAT to perform the reconnection procedure with the LAST paired device again.

Phone Calls

  1. When there is an incoming call, press the “Answer Phone Call” button on FIREFLY CHAT or slide your smartphone screen to answer the phone call.
  2. Once the call is answered, most smartphones will direct the voice call to FIREFLY CHAT to allow voices to come out from the audio system FIREFLY CHAT is connected to. If the voice is not directed to the audio system, please check your smartphone setting.
  3. A high-quality MEMS microphone is built inside FIREFLY CHAT to capture your voice during a phone call. Please make sure that FIREFLY CHAT is installed in an open space to capture your voice properly. IF FIREFLY CHAT is installed in an enclosed space such as a glove box, the microphone will not be able to capture voice properly.
