Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause and Solutions |

The Machine Does Not Start | No Power: |
Check Power Supply to make sure the machine is plugged in and the socket on
the wall is turned on
The Machine Does Not Start| Battery Issue:
Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly
The Thread Breaks| Needle Bent or Needle shank is not properly seated:
Replace the bent needle and insert it correctly
The Thread Breaks| Bobbin Threads and Upper Threads are not put under the
presser foot: Put the upper thread and bobbin thread underneath the presser
foot
Stitches are skipped| Presser’s foot is loose:
Set the presser foot lever to down position
Problem| Possible Cause and Solutions
---|---
The Machine Does Not Start| The foot pedal is not connected:
Set the Auto Function switch to Off. Then plug the foot pedal into the foot
pedal jack on the machine
The Thread Breaks| Thread tension is wrong for the fabric:
Fabric should be no more than 16mm; Use lower tension setting for thicker
fabric. Tension Control should be in the right place
The Thread Breaks| Excessive lint in the bobbin case:
Clean the lint out of the bobbin case
Stitches are skipped| Incorrect threading:
Re-thread the machine correctly. (Refer to Quick Start Guide)
Stitches are skipped| Bent or Damaged needle:
Replace the damaged needle

Stitches are skipped| Do not pull the fabric too fast:
Do not pull the fabric when the machine is running
Needle Breaks| The bobbin is empty:
Re-thread the Bobbin (Refer to Quick Start Guide)
Needle Breaks| The needle is out of Alignment to Realign the needle
Needle Breaks| Fabric is too thick or Fabric is not suitable:
Make sure the fabric is less than 16mm in thickness; Do not use knitted
fabric, velvet, silk, mesh, lace, leather

Stitches are skipped| Wrong needles are used :
Refer to the below Needle Size Guide to identify which needle you need.
Needle Size Guide:
No. 60/8 65/9 – Silks
No. 70/10 75/11 – Lightweight Fabrics
No. 80/12 – Medium Fabrics
No. 90/14 – Medium (slightly heavier) Fabrics
No. 100/16 – Heavyweight Fabrics
No. 110/18 – Upholstery Fabrics
No. 120/20 – Very Heavy Fabrics
Needle Breaks| The bobbin case is seated correctly
Seat Bobbin case correctly, run it a few times until it is perfectly seated
The machine keeps running when the foot pedal is disengaged| The machine is
set to Auto mode. Set the Auto as Off while using a foot pedal
