TIPS & TRICKS
- To make high quality oil and avoid the machine getting stuck or parts damaging, please select good quality ingredients, with high oil content, without stones or sand otherwise it will damage parts or stuck the machine.
- Use ingredients with high oil content, avoid ingredients that are rotten, oxidized or have low oil content. Soybean is not a proper ingredient, please avoid it!
- Special tip for peanuts: we suggest you fry the peanuts before pressing them. Fry them at 80 centigrades but don’t over fry them because the beans could get burn.
- The oil extraction rate is very good if the ingredients are dry up to 90%. For better results, we reccomend you to dry the ingredients for about 1 hour under the sun or in a dehydrator at 60 centigrades.
- It is necessary to clean the extrusion shaft with a clean and soft cloth or towel after every use. Try not to use water, don`t use detergent!
- Depending on the type of ingredient you are using, it processes around 100-150 g of ingredients every 5 minutes.
- The efficiency of the squeezing process is between 30-75 %, depending on ingredients, for instance, out of 100 g of walnuts, you can squeeze about 75 ml of oil, out of 100 g of flaxseed you get around 45 ml of oil.
- Freshly squeezed oil is not clear, it has sediments, after a while, if it is not stirred, the sediment settles. Anyway, the oil is cold pressed, it does not oxidize, it is a natural source of proteins, vitamins and fatty acids.
- The residue can be used for preparing food or as a sauce material.
HOW MUCH OIL CAN YOU SQUEEZE OUT OF: (FOR REFERENCE ONLY)

MATCHING TABLE
Presets | Ingredients |
---|---|
Peanut | peanuts, hazelnuts, almonds,argan seeds |
Sesame | sesame, poppy seeds, coriander seeds, mustard seeds |
Sunflower seed | sunflower seed, |
Rape seed | rape seed |
Flax seed | flax seed, chia, pine seeds, grape seeds, chimion seeds |

Mixed | pumpkin seeds, raw coconut (not flakes) all the ingredients that are |
not listed elsewhere
NOTE: walnuts, peanuts, macadamia and hazelnuts should be squashed into smaller pieces.
ATTENTION
- We don’t recommend you to process soybeans as their oil content is lower than 10%.
- Be careful when selecting the preset to be in accordance with the ingredient you are processing and if the ingredient is not listed, find the proper correspondant in the matching table.
- Pick carefully your ingredients and remove any trace of dirt, iron residue, sand, stones, wood, or anything else that is not suitable for being squeezed.
- If you haven`t used the oil pressing machine for a long time and decide to use it again, take into consideration that you first have to process a small quantity of ingredients just to clean the extrusion shaft, we would advise you not to drink the oil that comes out first.
- Check if all the parts are well fitted, if not, fit them accordingly to instructions. Don`t operate the machine if the parts are not in place.
- Don’t try to disassemble the extrusion shaft or the outer element immediately after processing, leave them to cool off, otherwise, you will burn your hands. The parts are hot immediately after processing.
- We advise you to follow the operating guidelines provided. Do not operate the oil pressing machine for more than 45 minutes, however, if it enters protection mode, do not force restart, leave it for 30 minutes to cool down and then try to start it again.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is the machine safe? Did it pass testing?
- Yes – it is safe, it is UL and CE certificated.
Which is the power rating?
- Motor power is rated at 180W, the heating element power is rated at 300 W. The motor runs as long as it processes, the heating element runs just when heating the extrusion shaft. The motor does not
run all the time at full power.
How much material can be put in the hopper at one time?
- The hopper can hold 400-450g of ingredients, the extracted oil meets the daily needs of 3-5 people.
What is oil content and extracting rate?
- It depends a lot on the type of ingredient you are squeezing. Usually, seeds or nuts produce around 40-75 % of their weight as oil.
What is oil content and extracting rate of soybean or corn?
- Soybeans and corn are two ingredients with very low oil content. The oil content of soybeans is only 10-15%, so, they are very dry and hard, as corn is. We advise you not to try to use this kind of ingredients.
Why does the oil look turbid?
- Natural, cold pressed oil is not clear, it contains sediments, if you leave it for 2-3 hours to settle, it will become clear and you will have sediments on the bottom of the glass.
- Why is the outcome from some ingredients very low?
- Mainly because you are not using the proper ingredient or the proper preset. Check out if your ingredient is listed in our chart, if not, check for compatibility, otherwise, it means that it is not good for being squeezed.
How can I store the oil?
- The oil can be stored for at least one month in the refrigerator in a sealed glass bottle.
Can I eat the oil if it’s turbid?
- Yes, even if it is turbid, the oil is fresh, natural and edible.
Why is the residue moist sometimes?
- It has to do with the ingredients themselves. If the ingredients are not dry, the residue will not be as dry as powder. The moisture in the ingredients will come out as residue. If you fry or dry in the sun the ingredients that still have moisture you will obtain a very dry powder as residue. Another reason would be not using the proper preset for your ingredients.
The filter gets often blocked – what can I do about it?
- It has to do with the used ingredients, they are not of good quality, are too large or contain moisture. Choose other ingredients or clean them more often the filter;
Why is there still oil coming out of the oil press even if I have stopped it?
- There is still oil left inside even after the machine stops, so please keep the oil box in place for around 10 minutes after the machine stops.
When the machine stops there is still residue inside or in front of the extrusion shaft – what should I do?
- When the pressing operation is nearly finished there is no material inside to push the residues out so there will be some residues that will remain inside. Disassemble the extrusion shaft and the outer element and clean them.
How should I clean the bottom of the oil box and the surrounding area?
- Use a dry cloth, a clean towel, and/or a brush.
The machine is hot when operating – why is this?
- Do not worry, heating is absolutely normal. The machine can get as hot as 50 centigrade, anyway, it has overheating protection so when the temperature will exceed the safety level, the machine will stop and enter protection mode.
Why does the machine stop itself after not having anything in the hopper for 1 minute?
- It is a safety precaution, when not having anything to process, it will stop itself after 1 minute.
There are no ingredients in the hopper – why is the oil pressing machine still working?
- You can only see that there is nothing in the hoper, but there are still ingredients in the outer element so the machine will continue to work until it finishes processing all the ingredients.
- There is a smell coming out during the first operation of the machine
How should I proceed?
- Usually, home appliances that have plastic elements tend to smell a bit sometimes, because the fresh plastic heats up and produces odor. The smell will disappear after processing 3-4 times.
