IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Read these instructions carefully and retain them for future use. If this
product is passed to a third party, then these instructions must be included.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons
including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Only use this product for its intended use.
- This product must be installed and/or used in accordance with the appropriate electrical codes and regulations.
- Install the product away from heat-emitting appliances, such as ovens or toasters.
- Do not open the housing for any reason. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
- To reduce the risk of electric shock – use only indoors.
- Keep away from children.
- Connect the product directly to a grounded power outlet only. Do not use extension cords.
- Do not exceed the maximum power output of the product.
CAUTION
Do not use relocatable power taps in General Patient Care Areas or Critical
Patient Care Areas. They have not been evaluated for use where Article 517 of
the National Electrical Code requires a Hospital Grade components.

This relocatable power tap includes a thermal interruption feature that may
disconnect. Do not use to connect life support equipment or the equivalent

Intended Use
- This product is intended for protecting electronics from power surges.
- This product is intended for household use only. It is not intended for commercial use.
- This product is intended to be used in dry indoor areas only.
- No liability will be accepted for damages resulting from improper use or non-compliance with these instructions.
Before First Use
- Check for transport damages.
- Before connecting the product to the power supply, check that the power supply voltage and current rating correspond with the power supply details shown on the product rating label.

Risk of suffocation! Keep any packaging materials away from children —
these materials are a potential source of danger, e.g. suffocation.
Using the Product
NOTICE
Devices (e.g. satellite/cable TV (coax) and phone/ethernet (RJ45)) are only
protected if the cables pass through the product. Transient lines that are not
connected to the product are not protected by the product’s surge protection
and would be at risk of damage.
Connecting to a power source
Place the product nearby the power source and connect the power plug (D).
Using the product
- To turn the product on, press the power switch (E). The indicator of the power switch (E) lights up orange. The PROTECTED (B) and GROUNDED (C) indicators light up green.
- To turn the product off, press the power switch (E) again. All the indicators go off.
PROTECTED indicator (Green): | The surge protection is activated. |

Power switch indicator (Orange): | The product is powered on. |
WARNING
If the indicator of the power switch is on, but the PROTECTED (B) indicator is
off, the built-in surge protection is no longer functioning. Unplug all the
connected equipment and replace the product.
WARNING
If the indicator of the power switch is on, but the GROUNDED (C) indicator is
off, contact a qualified electrician to properly ground the outlet before
using it again.
WARNING
Before plugging into the product, please make sure the electrical device is
set to the “OFF” position.
Circuit breaker
NOTICE
DO NOT OVERLOAD the product’s outlets. The product can accommodate a total
equipment load of up to 15 A (1800 W) (whether plugged into a single outlet or
spread out over multiple outlets). If the load exceeds 1800 W, the circuit
breaker built-in into the power switch (E) trips and the outlets stop
providing power (orange indicator goes off).
In case the circuit breaker trips, proceed as below:
- Unplug all the connected equipment.
- Press the power switch (E) and make sure the orange indicator is on.
- Connect all the equipment one by one. While doing so, do not exceed a total load of 1800 W.

Connecting the external equipment The antenna (H, I) and Phone/LAN (J, K)
connectors offer additional surge protection for connected devices. Connect
the external equipment following below table:

Using cable organizer
- Pull out the cable organizer (0).
- Loop the power cable(s) of the external equipment through the cable organizer (G) and then connect them to one of the product’s outlets.
NOTICE
To prevent accidental power cuts to the connected equipment, always use the
cable organizer (0).
Cleaning and Maintenance

Risk of electric shock! To prevent electric shock, unplug before cleaning.

Risk of electric shock! During cleaning do not immerse the electrical parts of
the product in water or other liquids. Never hold the product under running
water.
Cleaning
- To clean, wipe with a soft, slightly moist cloth.
- Dry the product after cleaning.
- Never use corrosive detergents, wire brushes, abrasive scourers, metal, or sharp utensils to clean the product.
Maintenance
- Store in a cool and dry place away from children and pets, ideally in original packaging.
- Avoid any vibrations and shocks.
