Programmable Features

  • Exposure Adjust the shutter speed, automatic gain control (AGC), and defog settings
  • Digital Wide Dynamic Range (D-WDR) Provide clear images even under circumstances where backlight illumination can vary
  • Back Light Compensation (BLC) Adjust the exposure to properly display the subject in front of bright light sources
  • White Balance Adjust the color temperature/image color
  • Day & Night Adjust the level of ambient light that triggers the camera to switch between color and B/W modes
  • Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) Adjust for less interference on the screen in an area with low illumination

Accessing the IP Camera Interface

Login Screen

  1.  To access the IP Camera interface, input the IP address of the front-end device into the URL address bar of the Internet Explorer browser (default IP address: 192.168.1.10).
  2.  ActiveX installation is required when the IP camera interface is first accessed. Follow the prompts to install ActiveX.
  3. In the following login screen, input the default User Name (Default: admin) and Password (Default: Leave Blank).

IP Camera Interface

Once within the IP Camera interface, the following tabs are made available:

  • Playback: The Playback tab provides the primary live camera feed and limited settings for adjusting the camera’s position and image.
  • Log: The Log tab allows for full replay and review of recorded video.
  • Device Cfg: The Device Cfg tab allows for full configuration of the IP camera’s settings.
  • Local Cfg: The Local Cfg tab allows for search and review of programmed alarms.
  • Log Out: Press the Log out tab to log out completely of the IP camera interface.

Image Settings

To open the Image Settings panel, click the “Images” button. The Image Settings panel allows for adjustment of the video image’s brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.

  • Brightness: Adjust the brightness of the video image
  • Contrast: Adjust the contrast of the video image
  • Saturation: Adjust the saturation of the video image
  • Tone: Adjust the tone of the video image
Playback Settings

The playback settings allows for full replay and review of recorded video.

  1. PlayBack – Choose between Remote or Local playback
  2.  Query Mode – Select to search for video by Name or by specific Time
  3.  Type – Select the type of video or picture to search for
  4. Begin – Select the beginning video recording time to search
  5.  End – Select the ending video recording time to search
  6.  Click Search to find video

Log

Alarm Log
The alarm log records the camera’s alarm features. Displaying the alarm type, date, time, device, and channel.

The Operate log records the camera’s login attempts.

Device Configuration:

The Device Configuration provides access to the Record and Record Snapshot settings

Setting – Record – Record:

  1.  Channel – Select channel to use (default = 1)

  2.  Length – Select the max length of recorded video (default is 60 minutes)

  3.  PreRecord – Set the pre-record time

  4.  Record Mode:
    a. Timing – Automatically records based on up to 4 timing configurations.
    b. Manual – Manually set the camera to record or stop recording
    c. Stop – Stops the camera from recording

  5. Click OK to save.

Setting – Alarm:

  1. Intelligent Alert – Configure alerts
  2.  Video Blind – Configure settings pertaining to camera being blinded (spray painted or covered)
  3.  Video Loss – Configure settings for loss of video
  4. Alarm Input – Configure alarm inputs
  5.  Alarm Output – Configure alarm outputs
  6.  Abnormal – Configure settings for abnormalities (IP conflicts, not enough storage)

Setting – Alarm – Intelligent Alert:

  1.  Channel – Select channel to use (default = 1)
  2.  Enabl e-Check to enable
  3. Human Detect – Check to detect humans only
  4.  Recognition – Select the sensitivity from Lowest to Highest (default = middle)
  5. Region – Select the region to monitor
  6.  Period – Set the schedule to monitor
  7.  Intervals – Set the desired intervals in seconds (default = 2 seconds)
  8.  Alarm Output – Default = 1
  9. Delay – Set the desired delay in seconds (default=10 seconds)
  10.  Record Channel – Default = 1
  11.  Snapshot Channel – Default = 1
  12. PTZ Activation – Not supported
  13. Send Email – Check to alert using email
  14.  FTP – Check to alert to FTP server
  15.  App Push – Check to force open application
  16. Write log – Check to write to the log file
  17. AlarmSound – Check to enable sound
  18.  SoundPlayType – Select from pre-recorded messages
  19.  Click OK to save

Setting: Alarm – Abnormal:

  1.  Event Type:
    a. Storage Device Not Exist – Will alert when storage device is not connected
    b. Storage Space Lack Alarm – Will alert when storage is running low
    c. Storage Device Access Failure – Will alert when cannot access device
    d. IP Conflict – Will alert when another device has the same IP as camera
    e. NetAbort – Will alert when camera is disconnected from the network

  2. Enable – Check to enable

  3. App Push – Check to force open application

  4. Click OK to save

Setting – System – General

  1.  Time Zone – Select time zone
  2. System Time – Enter date and time
  3.  Date Format – Select the format to display the date
  4.  DST – Check for Daylight Savings Time
  5. Date Separator – Select character to use to separate the date
  6. Time Format – Select between 12 hour or 24 hour clock
  7. Language – Select language
  8. HDD Full – Select to either overwrite or stop recording when hard drive is full
  9. DVR No – Set the number for the DVR (default = 0)
  10. Video Standard – Select between PAL or NTSC
  11.  Auto Logout – Set a time limit in minutes to automatically log off
  12. Click OK to save

Setting – System – Encode:

  1. Channel – Select channel to use (default = 1)
  2. Compression – Select between H.265 or H.265X
  3.  Resolution – Select between 2MP, 4MP, or 5MP
  4. FPS – Select the frames per second
  5.  Bit Rate Type – Select between VBR or CBR
  6. Quality – Select between Worst and Best (default is Best)
  7.  Bit Rate (Kb/S) – Set the Bit rate
  8. I Frame Interval – Set the I frame interval (default = 2)
  9. Video/Audio – Check to record video or audio
  10. Static Configuration – Select profile between Baseline, Main Profile, and High profile. High profile takes up more space for the stream but the picture quality is better.
  11. Smart Encoding – Select to use smart encoding on H. 265+

Setting – System – Network:

  1. Net Card – Select network adapter
  2. IP Address – Enter IP Address for camera
  3. Subnet Mask – Enter subnet mask
  4. Gateway – Enter default gateway
  5.  Primary DNS – Enter primary DNS server address
  6.  Secondary DNS – Enter secondary DNS server address
  7.  Media Port – Enter TCP steaming port (default = 34567)
  8.  HTTP Port – Enter HTTP port (default = 80)
  9.  Onvif Port – Enter Onvif port (default = 8899)
  10. Device Info – Displays camera mac address

Transfer Policy:

  •  Adaptive – For lower bandwidth network. Preview screen automatically adjust to substream.
  • Quality Preferred – For higher bandwidth network. Preview screen stays in main stream.
  •  Fluency Preferred – Changes the encoder settings and lowers the stream without reducing frame rate to ensure a smoother video.
  • Network Priority – Limits the users that can view the camera simultaneously. Users with higher bandwidth will take priority.

Setting – System – NetService

NetService displays the network services available. Double-click each option listed below to configure:

  1. IP Filter – Blacklist and White list services
  2. EMAIL – Use email to send alerts or other services
  3. NTP – Set the time server
  4. UPNP – Allows devices in your network to discover each other
  5. FTP – Configure the file server
  6.  AlarmServer – Configure an alarm server
  7. Cloud – Set up a third party cloud provider
  8. App Push – Force open an application
  9.  Serial Pass-Through – Configure RS232 settings

Setting – System – GUI Display

  1. CAM Name – Click Setting and Enter camera name
  2. Time Title – Check to display camera name on screen
  3.  Channel Title – Check to display channel number on screen
  4. Video Status – Check to display status of recording on screen
  5.  Alarm Status – Check to display alerts from alarms on screen
  6.  Anti-Jitter – Check to enable anti-jitter
  7.  Transparency – Adjust transparency (default = 175)
  8.  Channel – Select channel to use
  9.  Region Cover – Check to enable region cover
  10. Time Title – Check to display time on screen
  11. Channel Title – Check to display channel on screen
  12.  Setting – Configure the position of the user interface.
  13. Click OK to Save Setting: System – PTZ Config: Not Supported

Setting – System – RS232

  1.  Function – Select between NONE and Transparent functions
  2. Baudrate – Set baudrate (max 115200)
  3. Data Bits – Set data bits (5 – 8)
  4. Stop Bits – Set stop bits (1 – 2)
  5. Parity – Set parity (None, Odd, Even, Mark, Space)
  6. Click OK to save

Setting – System – Camera param

  1. Channel – Select channel to use
  2. Exposure mode – Set the exposure time. Can choose between Automatic and Manual.
  3. Auto Iris – Choose between Close (Off) and Open (On).
  4. White Balance – Set the white balance for Indoor, Outdoor, Automatic
  5. AE Reference – Set the AE reference (default = 50)
  6. BLC – Turn backlight compensation Open (On) or Close (Off)
  7. D-WDR – Turn digital wide dynamic range Open (On) or Close(Off)
  8. AE Sensitivity – Adjust the sensitivity
  9. AGC – Turn automatic gain control Open (On) or Closed (Off)
  10. Slow Shutter – Set the shutter speed (None, Low, Medium, High)
  11. IR_Cut – Set the IR Cut to IR_synchronous Switch or Automatically Switch
  12.  DayNTLevel – Set Day time NT Level (0 -5)
  13. NightNTLevel – Set Night time NT Level (0 – 5)
  14.  Front end comm – Send a communication to front end
  15. Mirror – Check to mirror image
  16. Flip – Check to flip image
  17. Anti-Flicker – Check to enable Anti-Flicker
  18. IRSwap – Check to enable IRSwap
  19. No Red Face Exposure – Check to reduce red face exposure
  20. Click OK to save

  4.  Default – Restore factory defaults
  5. Import Export – Manage import and export config files
  6. Reboot – Reboots the camera
  7.  Upgrade – Manage upgrade on firmware

Select the settings to default back to factory settings

Config Manager – Alarm Setting – Normal Setting

  1. Alarm Type – Set external alarm trigger
  2. Alarm Enable – Select Yes to enable
  3.  Auto Watch Warn – Select Yes to enable
  4.  Alarm Prompt Sound – Select Yes to enable a notification sound
  5.  Sound File Path – Browse to .wav file
  6.  Apply – Click Apply to save

Config Manager – System Settings:

  1. Record DIR – Set directory to save recordings
  2.  Length – Set the max length of recording in minutes (default = 60)
  3.  Picture DIR – Set directory to save pictures
  4. Fluent Real-Time – Set the quality of the video from Most Real-Time (Highest) to Most Fluency (Lowest)
  5.  Automatically connect with the last monitoring channel – Check to enable
  6. Save local record as AVI – Check to save files as .avi
  7.  Apply – Click Apply to save

Troubleshooting



The screen is blank

| ·   Check that the camera is powered up

·   Check that the power supply’s polarity is correct

·   Check that the monitor is powered up

·   Check that the video cable connecting the camera to the monitor is connected properly

The screen image is dim| ·   Clean the lens using a soft, clean cloth

·   Check that the light source is adequate

Strong backlight is overpowering the image| ·   Change the D-WDR or Backlight settings
Image has too much digital noise| ·   Change the DNR settings
The screen image is distorted| ·   Change the position of the camera
Motion detection is not activated| ·   Activate MOTION DET in the Setup Menu

·   Properly define the motion detection area

IR LEDs do not turn on| ·   Check that the correct power supply is in use
