SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  • Read all instructions carefully before use
  • Always ensure that the voltage on the rating label corresponds to the mains voltage in your home
  • Incorrect operation and improper use can damage the appliance and cause injury to the user
  • The appliance is intended for household use only and is not user-serviceable. Commercial use voids the warranty and the supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or damage caused when using the appliance for any other purpose than that intended
  • Do not block any air vents
  • Keep the appliance safely out of reach of children. Close supervision is required when any appliance is used near children
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge
  • Before using the appliance, be sure to untie the power cord wrapped around the back to avoid any potential electrical hazard
  • Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or o qualified person in order to avoid an electrical hazard
  • Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way. In arse of damage, take the unit in for the examination and/or repair by an authorized Tevo service center
  • To reduce the risk of the electric shock, do not immerse or expose the element assembly, control panel, oven, plug or power cord to water or any other liquid
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the cord is not in o position where it can be pulled on inadvertently
  • Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place on or near a ha gas an electric burner
  • Do not damage, bend, stretch, or twist the power cord; do not place heavy objects on the power cord or clamp the power cord
  • Never pull the cord to disconnect the appliance from the wall outlet instead, grasp the plug and pull on the plug. Always unplug the unit when not in use, before cleaning, or when adding or removing parts
  • Do not let children handle the electrical cord any part of the appliance
  • Do not cony the appliance by the power cord
  • Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However, if it is necessary to use an extension lead, ensure that the lead is suited to the power consumption of the appliance to avoid overheating of the extension cord, appliance, or plug point. Do not place the extension cord in a position where it can be pulled on by children or animals or tripped over
  • Do not use outdoors or in a damp area. Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use
  • Do not use the appliance on a gas or electric cooking top or over or near an open flame
  • A fire may occur if the appliance is covered or touches flammable material, including curtains, draperies, walls, and the like, when in operation
  • Do not place glass or plastic dishes on top of the unit. Do not place or store any item on top of the appliance
  • No items are allowed to be placed (probe gloss door as this may damage the appliance or cause the appliance to be pulled off from its current seated position.
  • Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even, stable surface. Do not place the unit on o hot surface
  • Do not place the appliance dose to the edged the countertop
  • Do not operate this appliance by means of an external timer or separate remote control system

  • PLEASE NOTE: This unit becomes hot while in use. Do not touch the glass window or any metallic ports during or immediately after use
  • The use of accessory attachments that are not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer may result in injuries, fire or electric shock
  • Always use oven gloves when inserting or removing food, cookware or accessories from the appliance
  • Never place your bore hand inside the appliance or use it to remove food, cookware or accessories when the appliance is plugged in and switched on; or immediately after use as it will still be hot
  • Do not place oversized food in the oven. This could damage the unit, and the food will not cook properly
  • Do not place the following items in the oven: nonwoven proof gloss, ceramic plates, paper, cards, plastic, cloth, metal objects, and other flammable items
  • This appliance should only be used to cook or bake consumable food
  • Do not place baking trays or other items directly on the heating elements of the oven
  • When cooking greasy or oily foods, place the baking pan on the bottom level of the oven cavity to prevent any all from falling onto the bottom healing element. Oil falling onto the bottom healing element can cause o potential fire hazard
  • Only use cookware designed for high temperatures in the oven
  • Forks, skewers, and other metal ports with this unit are sharp and will also get extremely hot during use. Great care should betoken to avoid personal injury. Wear protective oven gloves
  • Do not use the timer if it cannot sound a notification/indicator bell. When the timer is on, ensure that the plug is correctly inserted in the mains electrical socket to avoid a potential electrical hazard
  • Do not cover the drip troy or any other part of the oven with metal foil. This will cause the oven to overheat and will void the warranty
  • Exercise caution when opening the oven door or moving accessories during use of the oven
  • Do not leave this appliance unattended during use. Always unplug the unit when not in use or before cleaning
  • Do not move the unit while in use
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving on appliances containing hot oil or other hot liquids
  • Do not cover the unit or obstruct heat dissipation
  • Ensure that the switches are in the “0/OFF” position after each use
  • Never immerse the unit in water or any other liquid for cleaning purposes
  • Do not clean with caustic cleaners, metal brushes, or metal scouring pods
  • Do not dispose of this unit with domestic trash. Consult your local municipality for proper disposal procedure
  • The manufacturer does not (accept responsibility for any damage or injury caused by improper or incorrect use, or for repairs carried out by unauthorized personnel
  • In case of technical problems, switch off the machine and do not attempt to repair it yourself. Return the appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, adjustment, or repair. Always insist on the use of original spare parts. Failure to comply with the above-mentioned precautions and instructions could affect the safe operation of this machine and the standard levo repair process

AND FORK| | for
Ideal cooking sumptuous roasts and wick rotisserie chicken.
FRYING BASKET| | The Frying Basket is used for smallemized foods. Ideal for frying chips, roosting nub and so much more. When using it, place the Frying Basket on to the Grill Rack or Baking Troy.
FRYING TRAY| | The Frying Tray is used for baking or  ehydrating food. It is also ideal for reheating foods or cocking crispy treats. Use it 10 significantly increase crunchiness. When using it, place the Frying Tray on to the Grill Rock or on to the Baking Tray.
BAKING TRAY| | The Baking Troy also doubles as o Drip Tray. Use it to bake all sorts of ddicious dishes or use it to catch runoff sauces, juices, ails or fats.
SAFETY HANDLE| | Use the Safety Handle to safely remove the Baking Tray, Grill Rock and Frying Troy from the oven.
GRILL RACK| | The Grill Rock is great for grilling, roasting or raising food so that it is closer to the heating elements. The Grill rack allows for effective air circulation and even cooking.

TOOL| | Use the Rotisserie Tool to safely remove the Rotisserie Skewer and Fodc Set from the  oven.

Note: Take precautions when removing the accessories as they will be hot after cooking. When you remove them, make sure that you have a trivet or a heat-resistant surface nearby to set it down on.

PLACEMENT OF THE AIR FRYER OVEN

When placing the BENNET READ 22L FRYER OVEN in your kitchen, ensure that the unit is kept away from flammable materials and that there is sufficient space around the unit of at least 10cm, as per the guide below:

  • Between the back of the unit and the wall
  • Between the sides of the unit and other objects
  • Between the top of the unit and other objects

BEFORE FIRST USE

Before using this unit, please read these instructions completely. Save this manual and pass it on to the next user. Remove all packaging materials, labels, and/or stickers from your appliance and dispose of them correctly. Check the package to verify that all contents are included and undamaged. Do not operate the appliance if the contents are incomplete or appear damaged.
This appliance may produce an odor and emit smoke when switched on for the first time, as residues from the production process are eliminated. This is normal and does not indicate a defect or hazard.
Set the Temperature Control Dial (2) to 230°C (the maximum hot setting) and preheat the oven for 10-15 minutes until no odor or smoke is present. During use, ensure ample ventilation.

USING YOUR AIR FRYER OVEN

  • Place the unit on a flat, stable surface. Ensure that there is sufficient space around the unit
  • Ensure that all of the dials are in the OFF position. Plug the unit into a wall socket and switch on the wall socket
  • Slide the Baking Tray into the lower or middle position in the oven
  • Select accessory based on ingredients to cook (see page 5)
  • Now slide the accessory containing those foods into the best-suited position in the oven. Ensure that it is positioned above the Baking Tray
  • Use the Temperature Control Dial (2) to select the desired cooking temperature
  • Tum the Function Control Dial (3)* clockwise to set the oven
  • Use the Timer Dial (4), fuming it in a clockwise direction to set the relevant cooking or baking time according to your recipe. You will notice that the Power Indicator Light (1) will illuminate once the function has been set, indicating that the POWER is now ON
  • Tum food over midway if required
  • When you hear the timer ring, the preset time has been completed
  • Once you have finished cooking, turn the oven off by turning the Temperature Control Dial Dial (2), Function Control Dial (3) as well as the Timer Dial (4) to the “0/OFF” position
  • Remove food using the Safety Handle while wearing protective oven gloves

TIP: Turn the Oven Light on or off at any time by the simple press of a button. The Oven Light will automatically illuminate if the Oven Door (7) is closed.
Always refer to the CONTROL PANEL LABELS section to check which elements and areas heat up in the oven related to each function to ensure that the function is best suited to your recipe.

GRILLING

For best results, it is recommended that you preheat the oven for 15 minutes on 230°C

  • Slide the Baking Troy into the lower or middle position in the oven
  • Place seasoned Food on the Grill Rack
  • Slide the Grill Rock into an upper position in the oven
  • Set Temperature Control Dial (2) to appropriate temperature
  • Set the Function Control Dial (3) to Grill
  • Use the Timer Dial (4), turning it in a clockwise direction to set the relevant cooking or baking lime according to your recipe
  • Turn food over midway if required
  • You will hear the timer ring once the preset time has been completed
  • Once you have finished cooking, turn the oven off by fuming the Temperature Control Dial Dial (2), Function Control Dial (3) as well as the Timer Dial (4) to the “0/OFF” position
  • Remove food using the Safety Handle while wearing protective oven gloves

BAKING (CONVECTION GRILL OR CONVECTION BAKE*)

For best results, it is recommended that you preheat the oven for 15 minutes on 230°C.

  • Add prepared food into the Baking Tray and slide it into the lower or middle position in the oven. If you are using your own baking dish, simply place the dish onto the Baking Tray or Grill Rack and slide it into the lower or middle position in the oven.
  • Set Temperature Control Dial (2) to appropriate temperature
  • Set the Function Control Dial (3) to Convection Grill OR Convection Bake
  • Use the Timer Dial (4), turning it in a clockwise direction to set the baking time according to your recipe
  • Turn food over midway if required
  • You will hear the timer ring once the preset time has been completed
  • Once you have finished cooking, turn the oven off by turning the Temperature Control Diol Dial (2), Function Control Dial (3) os well as the Timer Dial (4) to the “0/OFF” position
  • Remove food using the Safety Handle while wearing protective oven gloves

ROTISSERIE*

  1. First, assemble the Rotisserie Skewer and Fork Set
    • Force the skewer lengthwise through meat and centre
    • Slide forks onto the skewer from either end and into the meat
    • lock in place with set screws. There ore indentations on the skewer for the set screws You can adjust the screws closer to the middle if needed but never outward towards the ends
    Always refer to the CONTROL PANEL LABELS section to check which dements and seas heat up in the oven related to each function to enSure that the function is best suited to your recipe.

  2. Now using the Rotisserie Tool, place it under the Rotisserie Skewer to lift it. Add the Rotisserie Set containing the food into the oven, inserting the skewer into the right side of the oven wall first and then down into the bracket on the left side of the oven

  3. Set Temperature Control Dial (2) to appropriate temperature

  4. Set the Function Control Dial (3) to Convection Grill, Convection Bake or Air Fry

  5. Use the Timer Dial (4), turning it in a clockwise direction to set the cooking time according to your recipe

  6. You may open the Oren Door (7) to view the rotisserie at any time during the process to check the progress

  7. You will hear the timer ring once the preset time has been completed

  8. Once you have finished cooking, turn the oven off by turning the Temperature Control Dial Dial (2), Function Control Dial (3) os well as the Timer Dial (4) to the “0/OFF” position

  9. Remove food whilst wearing protective oven gloves. Place the Rotisserie Tool underneath the Rotisserie Set and lift it out, left side first. Gently extract the food
    NOTE Make sure that your roost or chicken is not too large to rotate freely within the oven.

DEHYDRATE

  • Add foods into the Frying Basket or Frying Tray
  • Now slide the Frying Basket or Frying Tray containing those foods into the middle or top position in the oven
  • Use the Temperature Control Dial (2) to select the desired cooking temperature.
  • Set the Function Control Dial (3) to Dehydrate
  • Use the Timer Dial (4), turning it in a clockwise direction to set the relevant cooking Of baking time according to your recipe
  • Turn food over midway if required
  • You will hear the timer ring once the pre-set time has completed
  • Once you have finished cooking, turn the oven off by turning the Temperature Control Dial Dial (2), Function Control Dial (3) as well as the Timer Dial (4) to the “0/OFF” position
  • Remove food whilst wearing protective oven gloves

OVERHEATING PROTECTION

Should the inner temperature control system fail, the overheating protection system will be activated and the heating elements will not function. Should this happen, unplug the power cord. Allow time for the unit to cool completely. The timer mechanism will however continue to run and may reach the “O/OFF” position before the oven resumes. Once cooled, the oven will resume its last cooking function previously set. Note that if food is taken out during this time then it may not be sufficiently cooked.

AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF

The appliance has a built-in “shut-off” function, that will automatically shut down the unit when the timer reaches zero.

COOKING CHART

This table will help you select the correct temperature and time for the best results. As you become more familiar with the oven cooking process, you may adjust these settings to suit your own personal tastes.
The table below will help you choose the basic settings for the ingredients selected. As ingredients differ in origin, size, weight, shape, quality, and brand, we cannot guarantee the best settings for your ingredients.
Ensure to add 3 minutes to the cooking time when starting with a cold appliance.

TIPS

  • Cooking time for whole roasted chicken will vary with weight. Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature
  • Should you cook more than one type of meal at a point in time, be aware that the temperature inside the oven will be high. Cooking times will be shorter for all meals following the first. Ensure to make adjustments to your cooking times and check foods throughout the cooking process
  • Foods that are smaller in size usually require a slightly shorter cooking time than larger ones
  • Large quantities of food only require a slightly longer cooking time than smaller quantities
  • “Flipping” or turning smaller sized foods halfway through the cooking process, assures that all the pieces are evenly fried
  • Misting o bit of vegetable oil to fresh potatoes is suggested for a crispier result. When adding a little oil, do so just before cooking
  • Snacks normally cooked in an oven can also be cooked using this appliance
  • Use the pre-made dough to prepare filled snacks quickly and easily. The pre-mode dough requires o shorter cooking time than homemade dough
  • Place a baking tin or oven dish in the oven when baking a cake or quiche. A tin or dish is also suggested when cooking delicate or filled foods
  • You can use the oven to reheat foods. Simply place food on the rack/baking tray and set the temperature to 150° C for up b 10 minutes
  • Set the timer to 1 /2 the time needed for the recipe and the rimer bell will alert you when it’s time to turn your food. When you hear the timer bell, the preset preparation time has elapsed
  • If food is not cooked, check to ensure that the baskets and trays are not overloaded or that the temperature is not set too low. Use smaller batches for more even hying
  • If chips are not fried evenly, check if the correct type of potato is being used. Use fresh, firm potatoes. Use cut sticks and pat dry to remove excess starch
  • If chips are not crispy then it may be that the raw chips contained too much water. In the future, cut sticks smaller and ensure to dry potato sticks properly before misting them with oil. Parboiling potato sticks are always recommended prior to oven cooking

CARE AND CLEANING

  • Unplug the unit from the electrical outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Ensure that all the temperature, timer and function controls are set to the “0/OFF” position.
  • Always wait for the unit to cool down completely before cleaning
  • It is much easier to clean the accessories soon after they have been used. Wash them in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry well
  • The walls of the appliance should be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge and mild detergent. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads or scrape the walls with a metal utensil, as this may damage the inner surface
  • The door can be wiped with a damp sponge and wiped dry with a cloth towel
  • Clean the outside with a damp sponge Do not use an abrasive cleaner as it may damage the exterior finish
  • Do not use an abrasive cleaner, steel wool or scouring pad on the drip pan as it may damage the finish
  • Do not clean the heating elements, the heating elements clean themselves.
  • Do not use bleach or other abrasive substance or solvents to clean your appliance as it can be damaging to the finish
  • Do not immerse the unit in water or any other liquid, or hold it under a running tap to clean
  • To remove stubborn spots/marks, wipe the surfaces with a cloth slightly dampened in soapy water or mild non-abrasive cleaner. Rinse and dry with a clean, dry, soft cloth
  • Let all parts and surfaces dry thoroughly prior to plugging it in and using it

STORAGE

  • Before storage, always make sure the appliance is completely cool, clean and dry.
  • It is recommended to store the appliance in a dry place
  • Store the appliance on a stable countertop or in a cupboard. To avoid accidents, ensure that both the appliance and its power cord are beyond the reach of children or pets
  • Never wrap the power cord around the appliance
