1.2 Unpacking
Unpack the sample cutter and inspect it for any shipping damage. Notices of
defect must be filed immediately, in writing, at the latest within 10 days
upon receipt of the goods.
SAFETY AND ACCIDENT- PREVENTION
The Circular Sample Cutter has been conceived and built to prepare samples of cloth, paper, carton and other materials that are relatively simple to cut. Such samples are then weighed with the electronic balances model AR-300 to determine the weight per square metre of the final product. The use of the Circular Sample Cutter does not require particular attention, as far as safety is concerned. The instrument is equipped with a blocking pin to ensure a safety position when not in use (retracted cutting blades).
Always move the sample cutter with the blades in the safety position to avoid them from accidentally contacting your hands.
OPERATION
The Circular Sample Cutters has been built to prepare different samples with an area of 100 cm², 50 cm², 12 cm² or 10 cm².
Operating instructions
- Place the material to be cut on the rubber plate keeping tensioned so as to avoid creases.
- Place the Sample Cutter on the material to be tested, preferably at the centre of the rubber plate.
- Release the blocking pin by pulling it out and rotating it to 90°.
- Rotate the hand wheel clockwise for a little more than 1/4 rotation (90°), applying a slight downward pressure.
- Fix the blocking pin by pulling it out and rotating it to 90°.
- Lift up the Sample Cutter and remove the finished sample.
- After use, always put the instrument away with the blocking pin in the safety position (pressed in) thus avoiding cutting of hands as well as blade damage.
MAINTENANCE / TROUBLE SHOOTING
The instrument does not require particular maintenance: it is sufficient to occasionally clean the inner components by means of compressed air. Should a sample prove badly cut, check efficiency of the 4 blades and if necessary rotate or replace them.

WARRANTY
Checkline Europe (Checkline) warrants to the original purchaser that this
product is of merchantable quality and confirms in kind and quality with the
descriptions and specifications
thereof. Product failure or malfunction arising out of any defect in
workmanship or material in the product existing at the time of delivery
thereof which manifests itself within one year from the sale of such product,
shall be remedied by repair or replacement of such product, at Checkline’s
option, except where unauthorized repair, disassembly, tampering, abuse or
misapplication has taken place, as determined by Checkline. All returns for
warranty or nonwarranty repairs and/or replacement must be authorized by
Checkline, in advance, with all repacking and shipping expenses to the address
below to be borne by the purchaser.
THE FOREGOING WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR APPLICATION. CHECKLINE SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE NOR LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE, OF ANY KIND OR NATURE, RESULTING FROM THE USE OF SUPPLIED EQUIPMENT, WHETHER SUCH DAMAGE OCCURS OR IS DISCOVERED BEFORE, UPON OR AFTER REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR, AND WHETHER OR NOT SUCH DAMAGE IS CAUSED BY MANUFACTURER’S OR SUPPLIER’S NEGLIGENCE WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM INVOICE DATE.
Some State jurisdictions or States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to
you. The duration of any implied warranty, including, without limitation,
fitness for any particular purpose and merchantability with respect to this
product, is limited to the duration of the foregoing warranty.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts
but, not withstanding, this warranty, in the absence of such limitations,
shall extend for one year from the date of invoice.
