Safety Notes

Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions, damage or physical injury:

  • This manual belongs to the product. It contains important notes on operating the unit. Please pass it on along with the unit if it is handed over to a third party!
  • Dispose of the packaging materials carefully; the plastic bags may become a deadly toy for children.
  • Keep the unit out of the reach of children. It is not a toy.
  • Do not stare directly into the LED and do not direct the light beam towards people or animals.
  • Do not use devices which can strongly focuslight for viewing the light beam.
  • Do not continue to use the unit if the unit is damaged. Repair work must be done by a qualified service technician.
  • If you do not plan to use the unit for some time, remove the batteries.
  • Do not disassemble, burn, or short-circuit batteries and do not attempt to recharge nonrechargeable batteries.
  • Do not mix rechargeable batteries and nonrechargeable batteries and use only batteries of the same type.
  • Do not expose the unit to direct sunlight, humidity, dirt, high temperature, strong light or strong magnetic fields.
  • Close proximity to strong transmitters may cause malfunctions of the motion detector. Strong transmitters can be e. g. amateur radio operators in your neighbourhood or transmitting masts for mobile telephone systems or broadcasting stations. In this case, it may happen that the motion detector switches on casually, without detecting an animal or a person near by the motion detector.
  • Use the unit only indoors and in dry areas.
  • Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does not contain parts serviceable by you. In the case of questions or problems, turn to our customer support.
  • Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is not allowed for safety reasons.

Using

Intended Use

The device serves as a night light with an automatic or manual activation of the light. It is to be used indoors in a closed, dry place, at normal room temperature. The product is intended for use in the private domain and is not suitable for commercial use.

Inserting/Replacing the Batteries
  1. Push the battery compartment lid (rear side) from the night light and insert 3 new batteries of the type LR03 (AAA) into the battery compartment. Pay attention to the proper polarity of the batteries. The polarity is printed inside the battery compartment.
  2. Close the battery compartment with the lid. Replace the batteries when the light gets weaker.
Operation – Continuous Light

The night light is ready for use as soon as the batteries are inserted.

  1. Slide the switch in direction ON for continuous light.
  2. Slide the switch in direction OFF to switch off the light
Operation – Motion Sensor
  • The night light will light up each time the motion sensor detects motion within its field of view.
  • The light will turn off after 30 seconds. This feature is only available in dark rooms (when light intensity is < 20 lux). Under bright conditions the light will not shine.
  • Pay attention that the motion sensor is not covered.

Cleaning and Care

  • Clean the unit only with a dry or lightly moistened cloth.
    Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasives for cleaning.

  • Do not immerse the unit in liquids of any kind. Store the unit indoors in a dry place that is protected from dust, dirt and extreme temperatures
