  • Do not expose the LED floodlight to excessive temperatures, strong magnetic fields or to strong vibrations.
  • Do not use the product in rooms or in poor ambient conditions where flammable gases, vapours or explosive dust may be present or are present! There is a risk of explosion!
  • Do not immerse any components of the LED floodlight in liquids of any kind.
  • Position the power cord securely so it cannot become a tripping hazard. Do not bend the power cord too much and do not jam the cord or pull it around edges.
  • Immediately replace a broken glass of the floodlight.
  • Allow at least 1 m illuminating distance to other objects.
  • Never cover the product when it is in use.
  • The product is not intended for operation in altitudes of over 2000 meters.
  • Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to modify or repair it yourself. It does not contain parts serviceable by you. In case of questions or problems, turn to our customer service.

Overview

Operation

Intended Use

  • The LED floodlight is intended for illuminating house entrances, driveways, etc. It may be installed indoors and in outdoor areas. The LED floodlight is dustproof and protected against water jets from any angle (IP65).
  • Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise to hazards such as short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc.
  • No part of the product may be modified or converted!

Preparations for Installation

  • The product may only be installed by a qualified technician (e.g. electrician) who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German electrical wiring regulations)!
  • Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your own life but also the life of others!
  • If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it yourself but ask a qualified technician.
  • Observe the safety instructions!
  • Without fail, pay attention to the correct mounting position of the LED floodlight and the connection cable. If installed outdoors, make sure no water can enter the housing when installing the connection cable.
  • The LED floodlight should not be operated near water and other liquids, or in locations where water and other liquids may accumulate. Please keep a minimum distance of 5 m to swimming pools, ponds etc.
  • The floodlight must not be mounted on or near flammable surfaces.
  • The LED floodlight should not be mounted near flammable and moving objects, such as furniture, decorative material, curtains, candles, etc.
  • Mount the LED floodlight only on a stable surface (wall/ceiling). The installation site must be stable and must not be exposed to vibrations. Depending on the substrate, use suitable screws and dowels.
  • The LED floodlight must be protected on the sub-distribution board by a 10/16A fuse. An earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
  • The LED floodlight must be disconnected from the power supply during installation. It is not sufficient to just turn off at the light switch!
  • Turn the power off by removing the corresponding circuit fuse or switch off at the circuit breaker. Secure it against an unauthorised re-start, e.g. with a danger sign. In addition, switch off the associated earth-leakage circuit breaker.
  • Check that the mains connection is current free with a suitable tester.
  • The earth protection cable must be connected when installing the LED floodlight.
  • Do not install the LED floodlight, if the LED floodlight is replacing an existing light and there is no protective earth cable available. First, draw a new mains cable.
  • Where the protective earth is not connected, a fault with the mains voltage might result in the metal housing of the LED floodlight becoming live. There is a risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
  • When drilling in walls and ceilings, pay attention to cables, gas and water pipes.

Mounting/Installation

  1. Unscrew the lock nut (5) from the cable gland (4) and guide the power cable through the lock nut and the waterproof grommet (6).

  2. Connect the three wires of the power cable with the lustre terminals.
    N = Blue
    L = Brown/Black
    = PE (Green/Yellow)
    WARNING!
Risk of electric shock! The floodlight may only be operated when connected to ground. Hint: If the floodlight glows faintly when OFF after connecting, switch the cables in the terminals L and N.

  3. Re-tighten the lock nut (5).

  4. Secure the power cable with the waterproof grommet (6).

  5. Install the wall mount (1) with two or three suitable screws securely to an appropriate place. Make sure the floodlight is securely mounted.

  6. Tilt the floodlight to the desired angle and tighten the hinge adjusting screws (7) of the wall mount to secure its position.

Switching ON

The LED floodlight is switched on by plugging into mains or by supplying power.

Cleaning

Clean the housing of the floodlight only with a dry or lightly moistened cloth. Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasives for cleaning.
