Connecting and getting started

Pug the radio-controlled socket into a standard earthed socket.

To test the radio-controlled socket and for manual use without a remote control press the “On” and “Off” button. When you press the button, the LED of the radio-controlled socket should light up. When you press the button again, the LED goes out.

Note
Please note that the maximum transmission range can only be reached under optimum conditions.
This range may be reduced by walls or other radio signals (mobile phones, WLAN), for example.

Learn function of the radio-controlled socket

Press and hold the “LEARN” button for approx. 3 seconds until the LED starts to blink. Then select the desired channel by pressing the corresponding “ON” button. The LED on the radio-controlled will stop blinking when it has successfully learnt the frequency.

If the learning is unsuccessful, the remote control socket will leave learn mode after 15 seconds. In this case, repeat the process. It is also possible to assign a channel multiple times (multiple radio-controlled sockets can respond to the same remote control button).

If you wish to delete a programmed channel, first press the “LEARN” button until the LED flashes. Press the “OFF” button for the channel to remove its programming.

Troubleshooting

Remote control does not work

Check whether the battery has been inserted with the poles facing the proper directions. You can check this by making sure that the label on the battery corresponds to the polarity marked inside the battery compartment.

If the control LED on the remote control does not light up when you press a button, even when the battery has been inserted correctly, then it is possible that the remote control has a technical defect. If this is the case, please contact our customer service team or the retailer where you purchased this product.

The radio-controlled socket cannot be switched on or off even though the

remote control is working properly

Repeat the steps above under “Learn function of the radio-controlled socket” and, if necessary, contact Hama technical support or the retailer where you purchased this product.
