IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Unit is not to be exposed to splashing water or objects filled with liquid.
- Unit must be plugged only into outlets that are protectively earthed.
Always follow these basic safety precautions when installing and using the NEAR® 3XL DSP Power Amplifier unit:

Do not use this apparatus near water.

Clean unit with a dry cloth.

Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including other amplifiers) that produce heat.

Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other.
A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding prong.
The wide blade, or the third prong, is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for the replacement of the obsolete outlet. -
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when not used for long periods of time.

Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

The lightning flash with the arrowhead symbol, within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions.
WARNING:
The apparatus shall be connected to a main socket outlet with a protective
earthing connection.
To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus
to rain or moisture.
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no
objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the
apparatus.
Where the mains plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect
device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

QUICK-START INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING PRE-SETS
Choose your system type, either STEREO 2-CHANNEL or SUMMED MONO (Channel A:
Subwoofers; Channel B: Satellites).
Wire the speakers according to your selected system plan.
3XL FRONT PANEL SCREEN
- If Stand By Button (A) appears back-lit RED, push and hold for 2-seconds to exit.
- The Program Button (B) is used to navigate and select through the presets. Push once to access the security level. Rotate to password “Val = 1 O”. Push again to access IP address and preset selection. Rotate again to select desirably preset. Once the desired preset is shown, push again to select preset. The amplifier will now operate with the selected preset.
- Connect source(s), turn on the system, check operation. Consult full NEAR 3XL Manual which is available for download at the NEAR site: http://www.bogen.com
