Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Blimp Mic Windshield Setup
- Open the locking clip on the blimp cage from both sides as shown in the image.
- Remove the cap on the blimp cage as shown in the picture.
- Take the mic holder rod out of the cage. Note that the rubber and mic holder clamps come attached to the rod. If any rubber or clamp is not in good condition, you can replace it.
Step 2: Inserting the Mic
Insert your microphone into the suspension system and connect it with connector cables.
Step 3: Attaching the Blimp Cage
- Slide on the blimp cage to attach it back to the handle.
- Adjust the wire on the blimp cage with the handle.
- Close the cap on the blimp cage and adjust the wire of the blimp cage with the handle again.
Step 4: Connecting XLR Connectors
- Securely connect the XLR connectors on the coiled audio cable to the XLR connectors on the blimp cage.
- Tighten the 3/8-16 screw on the boom pole together with the thread on the blimp cage handle.
- Note: The height of the boom pole can be increased or decreased using the boom pole adapter.
Using the Boom Pole Adapter
To increase the height of the boom pole:
- Loosen and remove the ratchet knob on the handle of the blimp cage.
- Attach the adapter set to the handle.
- Insert the screw inside the thread of the adapter set.
- Put the given spring on the screw and insert the screw into the thread of the blimp handle cage.
Correctly insert the adapter set and secure it with the ratchet knob on the other side of the blimp cage.
The blimp cage can be properly secured with the adapter set as shown in the picture.
Reducing Boom Pole Height
To reduce the height of the boom pole, attach the smaller size adapter with the blimp cage.
Step 5: Using Synthetic Fur Cover
After assembling the blimp pole, you can also use it with a Synthetic fur cover to further minimize noise.
Note: The Synthetic fur cover reduces wind noise when recording in adverse environmental conditions.

Blimp Mic Windshield Setup

Remove the cap on the blimp cage as shown in the picture.

Take the mic holder rod out of the cage.
NOTE: The rubber and mic holder clamps come attached to the rod. But if any rubber or clamp is not in a good condition, you can replace it as shown in the images. -
Insert mic into the suspension system and connect it with a connector cables.

Then, slide on the blimp cage to attach it back to the handle.

Adjust the wire on the blimp cage with the handle.

Now close the cap on the blimp cage, and adjust the wire of the blimp cage with the han-dle again.

Securely connect the XLR connectors on the coiled audio cable to the XLR connectors on the blimp cage.

Tighten the 3/8″-16 screw on the boom pole together with the thread on the blimp cage handle.
NOTE: Boom pole height can be increased/decreased with the help of a boom pole adapter -
To increase the height of the boom pole, loos-en and remove the ratchet knob on the han-dle of the blimp cage. Then attach the adapt-er set to the handle. Finally, insert the screw inside the thread of the adapter set.

Attach the smaller size adapter with the blimp cage to reduce the height of the boom pole.
