  • This device is intended for indoor use only.
  • Do not expose this device to water or moisture of any kind. Do not place drinks or other containers with moisture on or near the device. If moisture does get in or on the device, immediately remove it from its power source and allow it to fully dry before reapplying power.
  • Do not touch the device, the power cord, or any other connected cables with wet hands.
  • If operating this speaker in a humid environment, ensure that no condensation occurs. Condensation could cause damage to the speaker cone and could cause a short in the amplifier, which in turn could cause fire or severe electric shock.
  • Do not install this device on an unstable surface where it could fall and cause either personal injury or damage to the device and/or other equipment.
  • Do not expose this device to excessive vibration or extreme force, shock, or fluctuations in temperature or humidity.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to excessive volume levels, which could cause hearing damage. Reduce the volume to minimum before using this speaker, then increase the volume to a comfortable listening level.
  • Do not expose this device to excessively high temperatures. Do not place it in, on, or near a heat source, such as a fireplace, stove, radiator, etc.
  • Do not leave it in direct sunlight.
  • Do not place or install this device in an area where it can be exposed to excessive amounts of dust, humidity, oil, smoke, or combustible vapors.
  • Prior to operation, check the unit and power cord for physical damage. Do not use if physical damage has occurred.
  • Before plugging the unit into a power outlet, ensure that the outlet provides the same type and level of power required by the device.
  • Unplug this device from the power source when not in use.
  • Take care to prevent damage to the power cord. Do not allow it to become crimped, pinched, walked on, or become tangled with other cords. Ensure that the power cord does not present a tripping hazard.
  • Never unplug the unit by pulling on the power cord. Always grasp the connector head or adapter body.
  • Ensure that power is turned off and disconnected before making any electrical connections.
  • This device contains a Lithium battery. Dispose of this device only in accordance with local, state, or federal regulations for electronic waste.
  • Charge the battery before first use and at least once every three months to keep it fresh and capable of holding the full charge.
  • Clean using a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use chemical cleaners, solvents, or detergents. For stubborn deposits, moisten the cloth with warm water.
  • This device has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt to open, service, or modify this device.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Front Panel

  3. ON/STANDBY: Press the button to power the speaker on or to put it into standby mode.

  4. BATTERY: The 4 LEDs illuminate to indicate the charge level of the internal battery.

  5. PAIR: Press the button to put the speaker into Bluetooth® pairing mode.

  6. VOLUME▬: Press the button to decrease the volume level.

  7. VOULUME ✚ : Press the button to increase the volume level.

  8. SOURCE INDICATORS: One of the LEDs illuminates to indicate the selected input.

  9. SOURCE: Press the button to cycle through the available inputs. The cycle order is the same as the order of the SOURCE INDICATORS: AUX (3.5mm AUX IN), RCA, BT (Bluetooth®), and OPT (digital optical S/PDIF).

  1. BASS REFLEX PORT: Bass reflex port for improved bass response.
  2. OPT IN: Digital optical S/PDIF input.
  3. AUX IN: 3.5mm stereo analog input.
  4. RCA IN: Stereo analog RCA input.
  5. SUB OUT: Mono analog RCA jack for connecting an external subwoofer (available separately).
  6. USB POWER: USB charging port with 5 VDC, 2A output for charging mobile devices.
  7. AC INPUT: Unpolarized IEC 60320 C8 input for connecting the included AC Power Cord.
  8. POWER: Master power switch for turning the speaker on or off.

INSTALLATION

Perform the following steps to install the Soundstage 3 speaker. Ensure that power is turned off and disconnected on all equipment to be connected before making any electrical connections.

  1. Ensure that the POWER switch on the rear panel is in the OFF position.
  2. (Optional) Plug one end of the included 3.5mm Audio Cable into the AUX IN jack on the rear panel, then plug the other end into the output of an audio source device, such as the headphones output on your smartphone.
  3. (Optional) Plug one end of a stereo RCA cable (available separately) into the RCA IN jacks on the rear panel, then plug the other end into the stereo analog RCA output on your audio source device.
  4. (Optional) Plug one end of a digital optical S/PDIF cable (available separately) into the OPT IN port on the rear panel, then plug the other end into the digital optical S/PDIF output on your audio source device.
  5. (Optional) Plug one end of a mono RCA cable (available separately) into the RCA input on a subwoofer (available separately), then plug the other end into the SUB OUT jack on the rear panel.
  6. (Optional) Plug one end of a USB charging cable (available separately) into the USB POWER port on the rear panel, then plug the other end into the charging input on your mobile device or other USB powered device.
  7. Plug one end of the included AC Power Cord into the AC INPUT on the rear panel, then plug the other end into a nearby AC power outlet.
  8. Place the POWER switch on the rear panel in the ON position. This puts the speaker into standby mode.
  9. Press the ON/STANDBY button on the top panel to turn the speaker on.

CHARGING

This speaker contains an internal Lithium battery. As long as the speaker is plugged into a live AC power outlet and the POWER switch on the rear panel is in the ON position, the internal battery will automatically charge.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING

Perform the following steps to pair the speaker with your Bluetooth® device.

  1. Place the POWER switch on the rear panel in the ON position.
  2. Press the ON/STANDBY button on the top panel to turn the speaker on.
  3. Repeatedly press the SOURCE button on the top panel until the BT LED in the SOURCE INDICATORS group illuminates.
  4. Press the PAIR button on the top panel to put the speaker into Bluetooth® pairing mode. The BT LED in the SOURCE INDICATORS group will start flashing, indicating that the speaker is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
  5. Open the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device and scan for nearby Bluetooth devices.
  6. Locate and select the MP43666 entry. If prompted for a passcode, enter 0000 (four zeros). Once connected, the BT LED in the SOURCE INDICATORS group will stop flashing and will illuminate steadily.

Note that the speaker will remember the device it was last paired to. To reconnect after the connection has been broken, open the Bluetooth settings on your device and select Connect to re-establish the connection.
