WARNING!

• Keep out of reach of children. Batteries contain harmful acids. If swallowed or in case of contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes, consult a doctor immediately!  The battery must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart, or recharged. Risk of explosion!

CAUTION

• Unauthorized repairs, alterations or changes to the product are prohibited.
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations, or shocks. For indoor use only. Protect it from moisture! Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.

Getting started/operation

• Remove the protective film and insert a new battery (1.5 V AAA) with the correct polarity (+ pole to the left). The temperature, humidity and comfort level (default indoor climate) appear.
• Press the MAX/MIN button (on the side) to display the maximum (MAX) and minimum (MIN) values since the last reset and to return to normal mode. Press and hold the MAX/MIN button for 3 seconds when MAX or MIN is displayed to reset the values.
• By pressing the MODE button (under the stand), you can choose between 4 areas of use: Indoor climate, musical instruments, tortoise, and humidor. A smiley shows the comfort level (see Fig.1).
• Important note: The comfort levels are based on average values. The ideal climate conditions for your area of use may differ. Press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds to switch the function off and on again. Remove the battery to turn off the instrument, if you do not use the device for a while.

 Waste disposal

Never dispose of old electronic devices and empty batteries with ordinary household waste. As a consumer, you are required by law to take batteries and rechargeable batteries to your retail store or to an appropriate collection site depending on national or local regulations and to take end-of-life devices to a designated collection point for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment in order to protect the environment. The return service is free of charge. The symbols for the contained heavy metals are Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, and Pb=lead.
