IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using an electrical appliance. Basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:

  1. Please read all instructions before operating and retain them for future reference.

  2. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the toaster.

  3. Do not touch a hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs only.

  4. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or any part of the toaster in water or other liquid.

  5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

  13. Do not use the toaster without the slide-out crumb tray in place. The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow bread crumbs to build up in the tray. IMPORTANT! Do not use this appliance with any foodstuff product containing sugar content or with products containing jam or preserves.

  14. Oversize food, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in the toaster as they may cause fire or electric shock.
    CAUTION: The bread may burn, therefore the toaster must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. The toaster should be attended to when in use.

  15. The use of accessories or attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
    WARNING! Electric Shock Hazard. Do not attempt to dislodge food by reaching into the toaster when the toaster is in use or connected mains power.

  16. Be sure to take the bread out carefully after toasting to avoid injuries from hot surfaces.
    WARNING! When toasting small bread slices less than 85mm in length, you must pay attention to the potential risk of burning when taking out the slices.

  17. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.

  18. Always unplug the appliance from mains power when not in use and before cleaning.

  19. To disconnect, push the STOP button, then remove the plug from the wall socket.

  20. 1f a slice of bread gets stuck inside the toaster, unplug the appliance first and let it cool down before you try to remove the bread. Do not use a knife or a sharp tool, as these may cause damage to the heating element.

  21. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
    • Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments;
    • Farmhouses;
    • By clients in hotels, motels, and other residential type environments;
    • Bed and breakfast type environments.

  22. When using this appliance, allow adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not allow this appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels, or other flammable materials during use. CAUTION is required when the toaster is placed on surfaces where heat may cause a problem, i.e. Laminated / Vinyl benchtops. Use of an insulated heat pad is recommended.

  23. Avoid using directly under kitchen cabinets where heat from the toaster may cause a problem.

WARNING!

Never operate the toaster on its side. To prevent damage to the toaster, DO NOT toast with extremely runny ingredients such as butter, jam, and other sugary ingredients. Adding any food substances to the bread, muffins or crumpets can cause an electric shock and/or fire. This toaster is for the toasting of bread, crumpets, and muffins only.

FOR THE FIRST USE

Due to residue or oil remaining in the heating element from the manufacture, the toaster may emit an odor when used for the time. This is normal and will subside after some time. For the first use, it is suggested to operate the toaster according to the below steps described under the heading ‘Toasting’, except without bread, then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting the first slice.

CAUTION: The bread may bum; therefore, toaster must not be used near or below curtains and other combustible materials. The toaster should be attended to when in use.

USING YOUR TOASTER

Important: Never let the toaster operate unattended. Important: Do not operate the toaster without the crumb tray.

Toasting

  1. Unwind the power cable to the required length and plug it in.
  2. Use the touch button “Setting” to adjust the toasting level you desire.
  3. Place the food to be toasted in the toast slot.
  4. Press the Push-down lever down until it engages. The LED on the Cancel button will light up.
  5. Toasting ends when the food being toasted is raised up. The LED on the Cancel button goes out.

Note: The toasting can be interrupted at any time by pressing the Cancel button. Never lift the Push-down lever to cancel toasting.

Tip: If you toast only one slice, set the toasting level lower than for two slices.

Reheating cold bread or toast

  1. Insert the cold bread to be toasted
  2. Press the push-down lever down until it engages. The LED on the Cancel button will light up.
  3. Then press the “Reheat” button.

Toasting frozen bread

  1. Set the desired browning level with the ‘SETTING’ button.
  2. Insert the frozen bread to be toasted.
  3. Press the push-down lever down until it engages. The LED on the Cancel button will light up.
  4. Press the “Defrost” button. The LED on the Defrost button will light up.

Using the Bread rack

Use the bread rack to heat up bread.

  1. Open the bread rack by turning the bread rack knob and placing the bread on the top of the rack.
  2. IMPORTANT! only heat up one piece at a time.
  3. Set the toasting level only to level 1.
  4. Press the push-down lever down until it engages. The LED on the Cancel button will light up.
  5. The heat cycle will commence and the toaster will turn OFF after heating the bread

CAUTION

  1. Remove all protective wrappings on the toaster prior to toasting.
  2. If the toaster starts to smoke excessively, Press the Cancel button to stop toasting
  3. Avoid toasting food with extremely runny ingredients such as butter, jam or other runny ingredients.
  4. Never attempt to remove bread jammed in the slots without unplugging the toaster from the electrical outlet first. Be sure not to damage the internal mechanism or heating elements when removing bread.
  5. The bread slot is for toasting a regular bread slice.
  6. To achieve uniform toast colour, we recommend that you wait a minimum of 30s between each toasting time so that browning color control can reset

CARE AND CLEANING

  1. Before cleaning, unplug from the appliance and let the appliance cool down
  2. Pull out the crumb tray at the bottom of the toaster and empty it. If the toaster is used frequently, accumulated breadcrumbs should be removed at least once Make sure the crumb tray is completely closed before using the toaster again.
  3. Wipe the outside of the toaster with a slightly dampened cloth and polish with a soft dry cloth.
  4. Do not immerse the toaster in the water.
  5. When not in use or during storage, the power cord may be wound under the bottom of the toaster.

WARNING! Fire Hazard. The crumb tray should be cleaned regularly. Do not allow breadcrumbs to accumulate in the bottom of the toaster.
