ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW

DO NOT INSTALL A CARGOGLIDE UNIT WITH THIS DRAWER SYSTEM

HEY! TORQUE BOY: READ BEFORE YOU INSTALL DECKED

• DON’T go rogue on us, please read the instructions.
• Start all bolts with your fingers to avoid cross-threading – you don’t want to spin out any inserts.
• DON’T over tighten bolts, get em’ hand-tight…or you will spin out the inserts.
• DON’T use power tools.
• If you don’t follow directions and do use power tools, please set the clutch at a very low setting.
• Over-torquing or using an impact wrench will spin out the inserts – we’re warning you!
• If you blow it, you can screw the inserts back in from the opposite side with a slotted screwdriver.
• If you really blow it, we’ve included some repair inserts in the PREP-EXTRA bag – install with a 7/32″ hex wrench. Call us if you need more.
• You’ll need a buddy for exactly two steps.
• Torque ratings are suggestions – tighten all fasteners until snug.
• Prevent expletive-filled language, watch our detailed installation video or give us a call. We’re happy to help!

PREP ALL CORNER SUPPORTS

Grab your bag: PREP DR8/DR9, 1/2″ SCREWS

• Install 2 corner support L-brackets onto each corner support with the 1/2” long screws where shown.
• Thesescrews install into inserts – no nuts neededhere. Do not overtighten. 27 in-lb.
  

PREP CABSIDE CORNER SUPPORTS: BRACKET INSTALL

• Two corner supports have axles installed.
• Use the the two corner supports with NO axles installed for this step. These are the cabside corner supports.
• Install the alignment pin bracket onto the cabside corner supports in the locations shown with the 3/4” screwsand flanged nuts. 27 in-lb.
• Slide rubber bushing onto pin.
• Push until seated.

DRIVER SIDE CABSIDE CORNER SUPPORT

PREP BED: CABSIDE BRACKET INSTALL

• Use the black 1″ screws and flanged nuts to install the cabside mounting bracket (green) and clamp (blue)around RAM tie down ring (red) as shown in DETAIL A. 53 in-lb.
• Perform light stretching routine.
• Repeat on the passenger side.
  

ASSEMBLY: DRIVER’S SIDE DECK

Grab your bag: 3/4″ SCREWS, 1″ SCREWS, DOGPOINT SCREWS, FLANGED NUTS

• There are five pre-installed gaskets – one on the top center channel of the vert, one on each underside of the decks where they rest on the center vert, and one on the top side of each C-channel.

• Place C-channel on the inside ledges of the DRIVER SIDE CABSIDE corner support and the  DRIVER SIDE TAILGATEcorner support. THE FOAM STRIP MUST BE ON THE TOP SIDE OF THE C-CHANNEL – don’t get this wrong!

• The C-channel endplate must rest on the cabside corner support.

• Verify that the tailgate corner support’s axle is closest to the tailgate; if not, swap for the other tailgate corner support.THIS IS
  IMPORTANT!

• Loosely bolt C-channel to the two corner supports using the 1” black screws with and flanged nuts. Makesure the screw head is in the C-channel, not on the corner support side. Shown by the REDlines.DON’T tighten yet.

• Line up the driver’s side deck (sticker or mark on end of deck panel indicates LEFT/DRIVER) on top of the C-channel/corner support assembly and the center vert bosses. Use caution not to tear the foam on the top of the C channel.
  Hey Sparky: The tailgate end of the center vert has an axle installed; the center vert axle and corner support axles must be on the tailgate end (not cabside end) of the assembly. This is important – and your 2nd warning.

• Using four of the 3/4” screws and flanged nuts, insert screw through deck panel into the four, L shaped bracketsinstalled on the corner supports – BLUE lines below. Do not overtighten. 27 in-lb.

• There are two types of screws in the DOGPOINT SCREWS bag. Use the plain stainless screws to install the deck panel to the center vert – no nuts needed. Start all screws with fingers to avoid cross-threading and tighten just until snug. GREEN lines.

• Now tighten the loose 1″ screws connecting the corner supports to the C-channels.Repeat this process for the passenger side.

• If you must use power tools, use with caution! Set drill clutch to low torque.
  

ASSEMBLY: CABSIDE TORSION BRACE

• The two torsion braces are the same and are installed on the cabside and tailgate ends of the system.

• Start with the cabside torsion brace; the tailgate side will be installed later.

• Slide the side with no holes under the corner supports and center vert. There should be NO axles on this side.
  That was your 3rd warning. Like theysay, three strikes and you’re out!

• Start all screws with your fingers. Loosely install theblack dogpoint screws into both holes incenter vert and into each corner support. Tighten just until snug. Overtigtening can spin out the inserts.27 in-lb.
  

INSTALL: ASSEMBLY (NOW, BACK TO THE TRUCK)

• Now, grab your buddy to help you lift the assembly into the back of the truck.
• Be sure to lift the cabside alignment pins over the tailgate side tie down loop when sliding the system forward.
• Slide forward until the cabside alignment pins engage into the cabside support brackets and the system rests against the cabside wall. You may need to push firmly to get the pins seated. See detail below.
  

STOP: The location for the bracket install on the tailgate corner support STOP: depends on your truck bed length! Pay attention below.

DR8 + DR9 INSTALL: TAILGATE BRACKETS

Grab your bag: PREP BAG DR8/DR9, 3/4″ SCREWS, 1″ SCREWS, FLANGED NUTS

• Use the 3/4” screws and flanged nuts to install the tailgate bracket (green) onto the corner support using thecorrect holes for your truck bed length. 27 in-lb.

• The nut must be on the bracket side. Position the DECKED tailgate bracket so that the arm is on the CABSIDEof the truck tie down loop.
  5’7” bed (DR8) – Use the two holes closest to the tailgate.
  6’4” bed (DR9) – Use the next two holes forward, towards the cabside.

• Place the bracket clamp (blue) onthe loop. The shortedges of the clamp should be onthe top and bottom.

• Install 1” black screw through clamp plate, through tie down loop and into the weld nut on the back sideof the tailgate bracket. Tighten until snug. 101 in-lb.

• Repeat other side
  

DRAWERS: BRACKETS + WHEELS (easier than falling off a log)

Grab your bag: DRAWER 1, DRAWER 3, WHEELS

1. Each drawer has a left and a right wheel bracket.

2. Place the brackets into the drawers as shown.

3. Install two 3/4″ bolts into the bottom two bracket holes. Secure with nuts but leave loose. DETAIL A.
   
   

4. Install the 2″ bolt intot he back mounting hole where shown. Secure with a nut. 27 in-lb. DETAIL A. Tighten above nuts until snug. 27 in-lb.

5. Use two 3/4″ bolts to install the tube brace in the DRAWER 3 bag. 27 in-lb. DETAIL B.
   
   

6. Install the wheels with a 7/32″ hex wrench. 90 in-lb. DETAIL C.
   
   

7. Repeat all steps for the other drawer.

INSTALL: DRAWER HANDLE

1. OK, Sparky, one drawer handle assembly needs to be installed by you. We did the other one. Save yourself the headache, watch this short installation video:

2. From the front face of the drawer, place the springs up and into the cavities on either side of the handle slots, red spring=right spring.
   NOTE: Each spring arm should point inward, with the straight tails facing you and pointing down.
   

3. Install a clevis pin through each outside drawer hole and through the spring to hold the spring in place. Do not push through 2nd hole.

4. With the DECKED logo facing outward, insert the handle ends behind the spring arms. Hook the spring arms into the handle notches and rotate the arms of the handle toward the clevis pins, which will pull the spring arm downward and load the spring.

5. When the handle hole is aligned to the clevis pin, push the pin through the handle hole and through the inside drawer hole. Repeat on the other side of the handle.

6. Install a hair pin through each clevis pin. Check function.
   

INSTALL: DRAWERS

2. Install the drawer by sliding wheels into their two channels (C-channel and center vert) and slide the drawer all the way forward until closed.
3. Install the remaining tailgate side wheels onto their axles. 90 in-lb. Install the weatherstrips AFTER you install the wheels. NOTE: Placing a spacer under the drawer to raise it into position makes this easier (ammo can lids work well or a small piece of 2×2 or 2×4).
4. Install the weather strips on the tailgate side drawer edge:
   With the weatherstrip wiper facing cabside, line up oneend with the side of the drawer and place on the topdrawer edge, firmly pressing down on the weatherstrip asyou move along the drawer edge.
   NOTE: Facing the weather stripping the wrong way will funnel water into drawer: BAD.
   
   
   
   

INSTALL: THE FUN STUFF

• Slide torsion brace under center vert andtailgate corner supports. Place bottle opener on the outside of thetorsionbrace.
• Loosely install (start withyour fingers to avoid cross-threading):
• Two black 1/2”thread cutting screws (with 3/8” hex heads) through upper holes in thebottle opener into the center vert leave loose.
• Two black dogpoint screws through the end holes in torsion brace into tailgate cornersupports; leave loose.
• Two black dogpoint screws through the bottom bottle opener holes andtorsion braceinto center vert; leave loose.
• Align bottle opener to edges of center vert and tightenfour bottle opener screws.
• Tighten end screws into tailgate cornersupports just until snug.
• You’ll have two extra dogpoint screws if youhave a 5’7” bed.
• Install lock core plugs, or install locks now, if purchased.
• Align ruler to top edge of panels. Install ruler screws with 1/8″ hex wrench. Tighten just until snug.
  

INSTALL: SIDEBOARDS

• Identify the plastic, “L” shaped sideboard with the DRIVER sticker. The other sideboard will be used on the passenger side.
• Push the DRIVER sideboard forward until it touches the cabside wall.
• Push the vertical leg of the sideboard up against the truck bed wall (marked with a THIS SIDE UP  sticker).
• Using the holes in the sideboard as a guide, install self-tapping, #3 Phillips head screws through the sideboard and into the DECKED panels.
• Repeat the process for the passenger side of the system.
  

IMPORTANT: Grab your favorite beverage, crack ‘er open in the bottle opener and make a toast to your magnificent truck. You did it. DECKED Products – Limited Lifetime Warranty

(Valid on DECKED Products purchased on or after 8/1/2021)

DECKED LLC, (the “Manufacturer”) warrants the original purchaser only that DECKED Truck and Van  Products (The “DECKED” Product) will be free from defects in material and workmanship from the date of purchase and continuing for the expected lifetime of the DECKED  roduct. The DECKED Product must be registered by the original purchaser with
DECKED, LLC via its website at, www.decked.com/register, and a copy of the original sales receipt must be supplied to the Manufacturer at the time a warranty claim is made. This warranty terminates if the original purchaser transfers the DECKED Product to any other person or vehicle.

WHAT IS COVERED
All DECKED Products identified above on or after August 1, 2021
DECKED’s Limited Lifetime Warranty applies to US and Canadian customers only. International shipments are covered by DECKED’s 3 Year Limited Warranty

WHAT WE WILL DO TO CORRECT PROBLEMS
Subject to the limitations and exclusions described in this limited warranty, the Manufacturer will remedy defects in workmanship or materials by providing one of the following remedies at its option and without charge to the original purchaser for parts: (a) repairing the defective portion of the DECKED Product or (b) replacing the entire DECKED Product.  In addition, the Manufacturer may elect at its option not to repair or replace the DECKED Product, but rather issue to the original purchaser a refund equal to the purchase price paid for the DECKED Product or a credit to be used towards the purchase of a new DECKED Product.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED
This limited warranty expressly excludes:

• Damage or defects caused by normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, installation in a nonsupported vehicle or installed in a vehicle which does not match the DECKED Product’s SKU-intended fitment or use, or modification of the product, or any types of repair of a DECKED Product other than those authorized or provided by the Manufacturer.
• Damage or defects resulting from conditions beyond the Manufacturer’s control and specifications including, but not limited to modification, misuse, overloading, or failure to assemble, install or use the DECKED Product in accordance with the Manufacturer’s written instructions or guidelines included with the DECKED Product or separately made available to the original purchaser.
• Damage to the contents of the DECKED Product or vehicle.
• TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE MANUFACTURER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING ECONOMIC LOSS, WHETHER RESULTING FROM NONPERFORMANCE, USE, MISUSE, OR INABILITY TO USE THE DECKED PRODUCT OR THE MANUFACTURER’S NEGLIGENCE.

NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY APPLIES
This Limited Lifetime Warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty for DECKED Products. No employee, agent, dealer, or other person is authorized to alter this warranty or make any other warranty on behalf of DECKED LLC.

OTIFICATION PROCEDURES
If the DECKED Product does not conform with the terms of this limited warranty, the original purchaser must promptly notify the Manufacturer in writing upon discovery of the nonconformity. In order to receive remedies under this limited warranty, a warranty claim must have been registered with DECKED LLC by the original purchaser, must describe the nature of the products nonconformity, include a copy of the original sales receipt, invoice, or other proof of purchase and be accompanied with photos or video. Repairs or modifications made to the DECKED Product by other than the Manufacturer or its authorized agent will nullify this limited warranty. Coverage under this limited warranty is conditioned at all times upon the owner’s compliance with these required registration, notification, and repair procedures.
