Note
The light source of this light is not replaceable; when the light source has
reached the end of its life, you need to replace the entire light.
Warning
Never look straight into the light source and do not aim its beam of light
straight into the eyes of other people or animals. This could damage
your/their eyes.
Example installation in wood / drywall ceiling
-
Before commencing any installation, maintenance or repair work, please disconnect the power circuit by disconnecting the fuse.
-
Secure the power circuit against being switched back on.
-
Check that the minimum installation depth of 80 mm (47 mm light + 33 mm clearance) is available. The clearance between the upper edge of the light and the ceiling must not be less than 33 mm to allow ventilation. The minimum distance between the lights and flammable materials must be no less than 50 cm. Do not cover the light with any heatinsulating material.
-
Mark out the position where the light is to be installed.
-
Create an installation opening with a diameter of 75 mm using a suitable hole saw. Take care not to disturb any hidden installation or supply lines.
-
The terminal points (e.g. terminal strip) between the domestic installation and the built-in spotlight connection cable must be clamped in suitable junction boxes. (Not included in the extent of delivery).
-
Continuing cables to the next built-in light must correspond in terms of structure and insulation to the operating mode. The yellow / green (earth / PE conductor) cable is not connected. Other lights are cabled in parallel.
-
Close the junction box and push it into the installation opening. Also ensure that the cables are free of compressive and tensile forces. Protect all cables and insulation from any potential damage.
-
Position the built-in light at an angle and first insert a clamp into the installation opening. The springs on the clamp are very powerful and can cause injury if due attention is not paid!
-
Now guide the second clamp into the installation opening. The built-in light is now slowly introduced all the way into the installation opening. The force of the clamps is sufficient to hold the built-in light in position.
-
No further fixings are needed. For precise alignment, the built-in light can be easily repositioned and rotated. The internal part of the light can also be swivelled.
-
Only reinsert the fuse once all built-in lights have been installed.
Removal
- Pull the built-in light out of the installation opening on one side. Take care to ensure that the clamp does not accidentally slip out of the opening. Otherwise there isadanger that fingers may become trapped.
- First carefully remove one clamp, then the other, from the installation opening.
- The further removal process is carried out in the reverse order to the installation process.
