Place the speaker

  • Keep at least 1 – 3 ft (0.3 – 0.9 m) away from other wireless equipment.

Choose an audio cable and connect it to your TV

Optical

  • Remove the caps and insert one end of the optical cable into the Optical OUT port on your TV.
  • Insert the other end into the OPTICAL IN port on the speaker.

CAUTION:

  • Inserting the plug with the cap on or in the wrong orientation can damage the plug and/or the port.

HDMI™ ARC (Not provided)

  • Insert one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI ARC port on your TV.
  • Insert the other end into the HDMI IN port on the speaker.

Connect to power

  • Connect the power cord to the 1 POWER port on the back of the speaker.
  • Plug the other end of the power cord into an AC (mains) power outlet. The speaker powers on, and you hear a tone.

NOTE: If you hear distorted audio, turn off your TV speakers (refer to your TV owner’s guide). If you don’t hear any audio, try the troubleshooting steps in the Reference section.

Reference

Enable auto-wake
Enable your speaker to power on automatically when it detects sound coming from your TV. Press and hold the Power button I until you hear a tone and the TV and Bluetooth lights on the speaker blink amber 3 times.
Adjust bass level
Press h, then press Volume up H or Volume down z to adjust the bass level.

Enable Dialogue mode

Adjust the audio balance to improve the clarity of dialogue and vocals in movies, TV programs, and podcasts. Press the Dialogue mode button 5 to switch between Dialogue mode and your default audio settings.

Connect to a mobile device

  • On the remote, press the Bluetooth button  The Bluetooth light slowly pulses blue.
  • On your mobile device, enable the Bluetooth feature.
  • Select Bose TV Speaker from the device list. Once connected, you hear a tone. The Bluetooth light glows solid white. Bose TV Speaker appears in the mobile device list.

No Sound?

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Use only one audio cable.
  • Secure all cable connections and make sure they are correct.
  • Insert the audio cable into an Audio Output or Audio OUT port on your TV, not audio Input or Audio IN.
  • Insert the HDMI cable into a port on your TV labeled HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel) or HDMI IN, not a standard HDMI port.
  • Unplug the power cord for at least one minute and reconnect.
