Thank you for choosing this EM2GO Portable 3 Phases Universal Electric Vehicle Charger With this unit, you have chosen a high-precision charger equipped with many safety-relevant protective devices, which is used for an all-round carefree charging of your vehicle with different input voltages.
Important Note: Please read these important safety instructions for
charging your vehicle. Please keep this user manual. The charger has many
safety functions. Read all safety information and warnings in this manual to
become aware of possible dangers.
Warning: Basic precautions should always be followed when using
electrical products. This manual contains important instructions, including
the following, which are required and must be followed during installation,
operation, and maintenance.
- The charger is equipped with a Type 2 EV plug, use this only for vehicles with the appropriate IEC 62196-2 EU mating connector (See your vehicle owner‘s manual).
- Do not install or use the charger near explosive, corrosive, or flammable materials, chemicals, or vapors.
- Be sure to disconnect the charger from the mains when not in use.
- Do not use the charger if it is defective or visibly damaged.
- Do not use the charger when it is covered.
- Do not attempt to open, disassemble, repair, tamper with, or modify the charger. If you have any questions or need repairs, contact our customer service department.
- Do not use the charger with an extension cord or adapter.
- Do not use the charger when you are in the vehicle.
- Do not use the charger when exposed to heavy rain, snow, or inclement weather.
- Always exercise caution when transporting the charger.
- Store the charger in the designated device to avoid external damage.
- Do not touch the charging terminal with sharp metallic objects.
- Do not pull the charging cable with force or over sharp objects.
Warning: The device must be installed, adjusted and serviced by qualified electricians or people who are familiar with the construction and operation of this type of EV-Charger Failure to follow this precaution could result in death or serious injury.
- Incorrect installation and testing of the charger can lead to damage No liability is assumed for the resulting damage.
- Make sure that the charging cable is well-positioned during the charging process cannot be walked on, damaged or burdened.
- Check the wire diameter according to the local electrical requirements
- Switch off the corresponding power supply before starting the installation.

Display
Touching the touch display takes you to the desired menu items. You can make your settings there. Confirm your settings by touching „OK“ or go back to the selection. The following settings can be made via the touch display:
- Charging current (the maximum charging current is preset depending on the plug type, this can be adjusted downwards).
- Charging time
- Time delay until charging starts.
The high-resolution color display of the EM2GO charging unit shows you the following information:
- Current-voltage
- Charging power per hour
- Charging time
- Charging temperature
- Current
- Charge indicator
LED strip display
The LED strip signals the status of the charger:
- No LED indication: Not in operation.
- LED permanently green: Charger is connected.
- LED green running: Charging in process
- LED permanently green: Charging process complete
- LED flashes red: There is a defect.
NOTE: If the LED strip flashes red, the protection electronics of the EV charger were addressed. In this case, please disconnect the mobile charger from the electric vehicle and from the power grid. Submit the connections, cables, and charger to a visual inspection. If there are no visual defects, reconnect everything. If the red LED continues to flash, disconnect the charger from the electric vehicle and the mains supply and contact your specialist consultant. Do not use the EV charger.
Adapter
Through the included adapter kit, you can charge your vehicle at almost any type of outlet. The following adapters are included:
- CEE red 32A three-phase
- CEE red 16A three-phase
- CEE camping max 16A
- Euro CEE 7/7 plug 16A single phase
- UK plug 13A single phase
Operating instructions / Vehicle charging

Select the appropriate adapter for the power outlet to be used and connect it to the adapter port of the mobile charging unit. Irritate the connector so that both metal hooks are fully engaged. For safety‘s sake, pull lightly on both ends of the connector to make sure that it is properly locked in place.

Now connect the mobile charging unit to the mains socket.

Pre-settings can now be made in the display. (See LCD status display)

Next, connect the Type 2 plug to the charging port of your vehicle.

Please note that the vehicle is prepared and set for the charging process.
The charging process will begin.
- When charging is complete, first, remove the Type 2 plug from the vehicle, then disconnect the charging unit from the mains.
NOTE: The charger unit is equipped with a residual current device (Type A RCD + 6mA DC). Please ensure that your three-phase power outlet is equipped with a suitable residual current device.
Wall mount:
The scope of delivery includes a wall bracket for the charging unit, as well as screws and dowels for mounting. To separate the wall bracket from the charging unit, loosen the Allen screws on one of the two locking plates on the front sides of the wall bracket and remove the locking plate. Now you can slide the charging unit out of the Wall bracket wall mount.
- Place the wall bracket at the location where you want to mount the charging station. Mark the drilling points through the holes of the wall mount. Make sure that the CEE power outlet is within reach.
- Drill the holes according to the markings. Insert and countersink the dowels in the drill holes.
- Place the wall bracket with the drill holes on the drill holes and screw the wall bracket on tightly with the screws included in the delivery.
- Make sure that the lower securing plate is firmly mounted! Slide the loading unit into the wall mount from above.
- Place the upper securing plate onto the wall mount and tighten the Allen screws.
Cable hook
To mount the cable hook on a wall, proceed as described previously under Wall mounting. No liability for possible damage will be accepted in the event of an incorrect operation. If you need technical support, please contact our support team via our website www.em2go.de.
Important notice: If EM016CC is used as a stationary charging station, the operation must be registered in accordance with §19 NAV for charging facilities (from 11 KW), dated March 21, 2019 for electric vehicles before use. Please inform yourself in this regard with your electricity provider by phone or online.
Warranty and maintenance
- The warranty period for this charger is two years.
- The warranty expires if:
- No proof of purchase can be provided.
- The warranty period specified by the manufacturer is exceeded.
- The instructions for use, maintenance, and storage are not followed.
- Damage or malfunction is caused by the ingress of foreign objects.
- In case of repair, disassembly, or modification by unauthorized persons.
- Damage caused by force majeure (such as lightning, overvoltage, earthquake, fire, flood, etc.).
- Damage and malfunctions caused by other avoidable external factors.
- Damage and malfunction caused by improper use of the equipment, such as the ingress of water or other liquids.
- Damage and malfunction caused by the mains power supply and a voltage not specified for use with the charger.
