WARNING
- Failure to follow these warnings and the instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- The product, including side rails, must be fully erected prior to use.
- Infants can suffocate on soft bedding. Never add a pillow, comforter or padding.
- To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your physician. Strings can cause strangulation!
- Do not place items with a string around a child’s neck, such as strings or pacifier cords.
- Do not suspend strings over a crib or attach strings to toys. To help prevent strangulation tighten all fasteners.
- A child can trap parts of the body or clothing on loose fasteners.
- DO NOT place a crib near a window where cords from blinds or drapes may strangle a child.
- When a child is able to pull to a standing position, set the mattress to the lowest position and remove bumper pads, large toys and other objects that could serve as steps for climbing out.
- For cribs with drop sides, after raising side, make sure latches are secure.
- For cribs with drop sides, DO NOT leave child in crib with side lowered.
- Be sure side is in raised and locked position whenever a child is in a crib.
- When a child is able to climb out and reaches the height of 35 inches (890 mm), the child should be placed in a youth or regular bed, and the crib shall no longer be used.
- Check this product for damaged hardware, loose joints, missing parts or sharp edges before and after assembly and frequently during use.
- DO NOT use the crib if any parts are missing, damaged or broken. Contact Babyletto for replacement parts and instructional literature if needed.
- DO NOT substitute parts. NEVER use a water mattress with this product.
- For cribs equipped with teething rails, replace teething rail if damaged, cracked or loose.
- If refinishing, use a non-toxic finish specified for children’s products.
- Never use plastic shipping bags or other plastic films as mattress covers not sold and intended for the purpose.
- They can cause suffocation. Infants can suffocate in gaps between crib sides when used with a mattress that is too small.
- Check fasteners periodically for tightness. Do not over-tighten.
- This may cause distortion or breakage. Use a crib, not as a playpen.
- Remember that a crib is not a substitute for a parent’s supervision.
- When re-assembling the crib for your second child, please keep in mind that the screw holes will need to be filled in order for the screws to grip the wood.
- Talk to your local hardware store or lumber yard about how to do this properly.
- Children can become entrapped and die when improvised netting or covers are placed on top of a play yard.
- Never add such items to confine children in play yard. Always provide the supervision necessary for the continued safety of your child. When used for playing, never leave the child unattended.

STORAGE
Because materials respond to temperature and humidity, it is important to store furniture in controlled environments. Furniture should not be placed in direct sunlight or near air-conditioning outlets, radiators, heaters, or humidifiers. Any changes such as extreme heat or cold, dampness, or dryness, may cause noticeable shrinkage or swelling of wood. Direct sunlight may affect the coloring of materials over time.
Care and Cleaning
To clean wood or metal parts, use a lint-free, soft cloth with a non-toxic cleaner. Wipe dry immediately. To avoid scratches or other damages, do not use abrasive chemicals or materials. For fabrics, we recommend using a non-toxic foaming fabric cleaner or leather cleaner where appropriate.
