Function

The portable »Lisa-RF-pager« is a receiver for the alerts of the various »Lisa-RF« transmitters and indicates these as vibrations.
6 indicator LEDs with symbols help to distinguish the alert source.

Controls and displays

Event indicator LEDs: The 6 indicator lamps help you to differentiate between the individual transmitter signals. They light up for a total of 40 seconds.
Low battery indicator: This LED lights up in blue to indicate that the battery is almost depleted. Please replace the batteries as soon as possible.
Reset button: When you feel the portable RF receiver vibrating, you can switch off its vibration using the reset button on the receiver. The event indicators light up and go out automatically after a total of 40 seconds. Furthermore, you can press the reset button to recall the most recent signal again (the function works for up to 3 minutes after receiving the signal).
Belt clip: You can use the belt clip to attach the portable RF receiver to your clothing.
On/Off-Switch: This switch turns the portable RF receiver on and off.
Channel selector: You can select the transmission radio channel using the channel selector.

USB-C charging socket:
There is a USB-C charging socket on the side of the receiver. If the receiver is equipped with rechargeable batteries (accessory: 2 x A-4966-0, also included in the A-2910-0  charging station set), the receiver can also be charged using a standard USB charger with a USB-C cable instead of the charging station.
During charging, the battery status indicator lights up red. When charging is complete, the indicator goes out. The maintenance function of the charge control automatically keeps the batteries at full capacity. This means that the charging process can be active again at irregular intervals, with the battery status indicator lighting up red accordingly. When operating with normal batteries this charging socket remains without function.

Setting up the device

  1. Insert the batteries
The battery compartment is located on the underside of the portable RF receiver. Open it by sliding the cover of the battery compartment away from the receiver using both your thumbs. Insert two 1.5 V AAA batteries and refit the cover again.

  2. Setting the correct radio channel A digital transmission process ensures that the radio signals are received without errors. This process also makes it possible to set 10 different radio channels. All RF Lisa devices are set to channel 0 by default. It is only necessary to set your system to another channel if you have several different users operating Lisa units in proximity. Set the required channel by using a small screwdriver to turn the channel selector switch, which is located on the right of the receiver, to the required channel number. Use a small screwdriver to adjust this switch. All transmitters and receivers must be set to the same channel.

Operation

  1. Switching the receiver on Slide the on/off- switch to »on«. The portable RF receiver is now ready to operate. After the device has been switched on, each one of the event indicators lights up briefly in sequence and the receiver vibrates. This is a self-test of the device and lets you know that it is functioning correctly.
  2. Event identification The portable RF receiver displays the various incoming signals as colored lights and different sequences of vibration.

Telephone: Telephone LED (orange) is lit. Door 1: Door LED (green) is lit.

Door 2: Door LED (green) is flashing.

Baby monitor: Baby-cry-LED (white) is lit.

Call button: Person calling-LED (yellow) is lit.

Water alert: Water alert (blue) is lit.

Alarm: All LEDs are flashing.

Fire alert: The fire alert LED (red) is lit.

Legend for vibration patterns:

V4 Vibration 0,4 seconds P8 Pause 0,8 seconds
P12 Pause 1,2 seconds P16 Pause 1,6 seconds
P20 Pause 2,0 seconds P30 Pause 3,0 seconds
P36 Pause 3,6 seconds P48 Pause 4,8 seconds

The event indicator LEDs remain lit for 40 seconds. The vibration stops after 28 seconds.

3. Recalling the most recent signal
The portable RF receiver stores each signal it receives for a period of 3 minutes. During this time, you can recall the signal again by pressing the reset button. The event is then indicated by the indicator LEDs. The vibration is not retriggered.

Battery depleted
The blue battery indicator is lit. Please replace the batteries as soon as possible.

Transmission range

Note the following points when using the portable RF receiver:
The radio signals are designed to have a range of 80 meters under optimum conditions.
The following conditions may result in a reduced range:
– Obstacles like building structures or vegetation.
– Interference from TVs, computer monitors, and mobile phones. Under certain circumstances, these may prevent the receiver from functioning at all.
– Positioning of the transmitter at an unfavorable distance from surfaces that reflect radio waves, for example, floors and walls. This may lead to a weakened or even canceled-out signal by the reflected wave.
– Metallic objects reduce the range due to the shielding effect of the metal.
– Particularly in towns and cities, there may be many other sources of radio waves that can disrupt the original signal.
– Other devices operating at similar frequencies in the vicinity may also result in mutual interference.

Special accessories

The following modules (not included) can be plugged into the AUX output connector:

– Vibrating pillow (A-3303-0)
– Flash module MF-1 (A-3320-0)
– Acoustic module MA-1 (A-3340-0)
– Vibrating contraption (A-3310-0)

Please note: The internal vibration is deactivated if the receiver is charged over the USB connector or the charging station. The AUX output remains active during charging.
