WARNING
- Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling and other construction activities contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
- Lead from lead-based paints.
- Crystalline silica from bricks, cement, and other masonry products.
-Arsenic and chromium from chemically-treated lumber. - Your risk from these exposures varies, depending upon how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these chemicals:
– Work in a well-ventilated area.
- Work with approved safety equipment, such as dust masks that are specially designed to filter out microscopic particles.
- Avoid prolonged contact with dust from power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities. Wear protective clothing and wash exposed areas with soap and water. Allowing dust to get into your mouth or eyes or to lie on the skin may promote absorption of harmful chemicals. 2
GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations and specifications provided with this power tool . Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
SAVE ALL WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operated
(corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
Work area safety
Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite
accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the
presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust . Power tools create sparks which
may ignite the dust or fumes.
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool . Distractions
can cause you to lose control.
Electrical safety
Power tool plugs must match the outlet . Never modify the plug in any way .
Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools . Unmodified
plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators . There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions . Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
Do not abuse the cord . Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool . Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts . Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use . Use of a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) protected supply . Use of a GFCI reduces the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a
power tool . Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication . A moment of inattention while
operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
Use personal protective equipment . Always wear eye protection . Protective equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. Prevent unintentional starting . Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool . Carrying power tools with your finger on the switch, or energizing power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on . A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury. Do not overreach . Keep proper footing and balance at all times . This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected situations.
Dress properly . Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry . Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts . Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used . Use of dust collection can reduce dust related hazards.
Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to become complacent and ignore tool safety principles . A careless action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
Power tool use and care
Do not force the power tool . Use the correct power tool for your application
. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for
which it was designed. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn
it on and off . Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools . Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool . Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. Maintain power tools and accessories .
Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation . If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use . Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean . Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc . in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed . Use of the power tool for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
Battery tool use and care
Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer . A charger that
is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used
with another battery pack. Use power tools only with specifically designated
battery packs . Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and
fire. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects,
like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects,
that can make a connection from one terminal to another .
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact . If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water . If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help . Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns. Do not use a battery pack or tool that is damaged or modified .
Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion or risk of injury. Do not expose a battery pack or tool to fire or excessive temperature . Exposure to fire or temperature above 265 °F (130°C) may cause explosion. Follow all charging instructions and do not charge the battery pack or tool outside the temperature range specified in the instructions . Charging improperly or at temperatures outside the specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
Service
Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only
identical replacement parts . This will ensure that the safety of the power
tool is maintained. Never service damaged battery packs . Service of battery
packs should only be performed by the manufacturer or authorized service
providers.
SAFETY WARNINGS FOR AUTO HAMMER
Wear ear protectors . Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss. Hold power tools by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the tool may contact hidden wiring . Contact with a “live” wire will also make exposed metal parts of the tool “live” and shock the operator.
Do not insert or try to insert your finger into the hammer sleeve at any time, failure to do so could result in personal injury. Your finger may get hurt. Do not stare into the LED work light directly; never direct the work light into others’ eyes. Never put your hand continuously on the nail when hammering .
Only use your hand to root the nail on the workpiece at the beginning of hammering. This auto hammer is suggested to be used for the nails with length no more than 3-1/2 inches / 89 mm (Penny Size: 16d). Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform before hammering .
Holding the work by hand against your body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control. Know your power tool . Read operator’s manual carefully . Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards related to this tool . Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire or serious injury. Battery tools do not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet; therefore, they are always in operation condition .
Be aware of possible hazards when not using your battery tool or when changing accessories . Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock, fire or serious personal injury. Do not place battery tools near fire or heat . This will reduce the risk of explosion and possibly injury.
Do not charge battery tool in a damp or wet location . Following this rule will reduce the risk of electric shock. For best results, your battery tool should be charged in a location where the temperature is more than 32(0) but less than 104(40). Do not store outside or in vehicles . Save these instructions .
Refer to them frequently and use them to instruct others who may use this tool. If you loan someone this tool, also loan them these instructions,

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
To Attach/Detach Battery Pack (Fig.2)
Avoid the possibility of accidental starting: Set the trigger lock in the locked position before attaching or detaching the battery pack. See the detailed instructions in the section “Trigger Switch and Trigger Lock”.
To attach the battery pack:
Align the raised rib on the battery pack with the grooves in the tool, and then slide the battery pack onto the tool.
To detach the battery pack:
Depress the battery-release button, located on the front of the battery pack, to release the battery pack. Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the tool.
NOTICE: When placing the battery pack on the tool, be sure that the raised rib on the battery pack aligns with the groove inside the tool and that the latches snap into place properly. Improper attachment of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
Trigger Switch and Trigger Lock (Fig.3)
To lock the trigger switch, push the trigger lock upward. The trigger switch will not work while the trigger lock is in the locked position. Lock the trigger switch when storing the tool and when the tool is not in use. To unlock the trigger switch, push the trigger lock downward.
LED Work light
The LED work light, located on the front of the auto hammer, will turn on when
the trigger switch is depressed. The LED work light will turn off
approximately 10 seconds after the trigger switch is released. This provides
additional lighting on the surface of the workpiece for operation in lower-
light areas. T
he LED light will rapidly flash when the tool and/or the battery pack are outside the recommended temperature range, and the internal sensors will turn the tool off. Rest the tool and battery pack for a while in room temperature if they are too cold or place the tool and battery pack separately under air flow to cool them if they are too hot.
The LED light will flash more slowly to indicate that the battery is at low- battery capacity. Recharge the battery pack.
Articulating Hammer-head (Fig. 4)
The hammer-head pivot-lock button allows you to position the head at 0°, 45°, or 90°. Depress the hammer-head pivot-lock button to release the hammer-head. Pivot the head to one of operating angles suitable for the task and then release the pivot-lock button.
Magnetic Sleeve (Fig.5)
The magnetic sleeve holds the head of the inserted nail against the recessed hammerhead for the beginning of nail driving. The sleeve retracts at the end of nail driving to allow the hammer-head to drive the nail head flush with the workpiece surface.
Hammering Nails (Fig. 6)
-
Attach the battery pack to the auto hammer.
-
Secure the material to be nailed with clamps to keep it from moving when hammering.
-
Set the hammer head to the angle appropriate for your job.
• For hammering nails on the floor or ceiling, set your hammer-head at 0°as shown in Fig. 6.
• For hammering nails on the walls or other vertical surfaces, set your hammer-head at 90° (Fig. 6a).
• For hammering nails on an angle or in tight places, set your hammer-head at 45° (Fig. 6b).
-
Insert the head of the nail into the magnetic sleeve and up against the hammer-head, where it will be held in place by magnetic force. Place the tip of the nail against the workpiece.
WARNING Before depressing the trigger switch to start hammering, make sure that the articulating head of the auto hammer is locked in place. Otherwise, the hammer-head would move, causing serious personal injury. -
Holding the shaft of the nail steady with your hand, push down on the tool and press the trigger switch to initiate the hammering action and drive the nail deep enough into the workpiece so that it stands on its own. Release the trigger switch and remove your hand from the nail.
WARNING Be especially careful when driving shorter nails, such as brads, and remove your hand as soon as the nail stands on its own in the workpiece. -
Resume pushing down on tool and pressing the trigger switch to continue hammering until the nail is fully driven into the workpiece. Near the end of hammering, the magnetic sleeve will retract to allow the hammer-head to drive the nail head flush into the workpiece.
WARNING To avoid possible serious injury, do not overly force the hammer or apply side pressure. Hold the tool firmly while pushing steadily to allow the hammer-head to drive the nail automatically.
Recommended Nailing Materials for the Auto Hammer
The auto hammer may be used for nailing into all types of wood, wood-like
materials, and plaster board.
NOTICE: The tool is not suitable for nailing in hard metal or concrete.
