FAQS

Can I use it with only one earbud at a time?

To expand on the previous reply, the answer is “yes, but.” The right earbud is the bud that receives the Bluetooth signal from your source. It then retransmits the signal to the left bud. So, if you want to use only the right bud and keep the left bud in its charging case, that will work fine as long as you stay within Bluetooth range of your source. But if you want to use only the left bud, you have to keep the right bud out of the case, turned on and within range of both your source and the left bud. If you put the right bud in its case, it will automagically turn off, cutting off the signal to the left bud.

Do the earbuds have latency while watching videos?

For listening to just music, the sound is fine. But watching videos with the latency of like (I’m guessing here) .25 seconds, it get’s noticeable and annoying to watch. On some videos, there’s just a slight delay of someone’s mouth moving and sound catching up with it. On other videos, the mouth has already finished a word and starting the next word and the sound is just playing the first word. I bought this to listen to music and watch videos but I guess I’ll just be using it for music since it’s cheap.

Will these work with android or amazon alexa?

They work with bluetooth enabled devices. So yes they work with android. Not sure what your question is about concerning Amazon alexa

Do the lights stop blinking when in use?

Yes

Only the right side works during phone calls. the left side is completely silent. Is that normal?

It clearly states in the instruction manual that only the right side will work during a phone call. That is probably to keep people from wearing them while driving.

The case is flashing on the first battery indication light and is stuck there. How do i fix it?

Make sure the buds are in the proper slots left and right. If the problem persists, contact customer support.

Do these have a touch button at all or is the button click only?

Touch button only

Do they have noise canceling features??

They’re not going to give you noise canceling like big headphones that surround your ears, but I’ve found that the Cloud foam tips also available from JLAB will block out a good amount of sound and enhance the music sound, especially bass.

Do the air icon have the be aware audio function?

Yes

How do i access the custom eq?

Three taps on either earbud should switch consecutively between the 3 equalization modes, but often, not all 3 register. Both the positioning of the tap and the timing are critical.

Will they pair with a computer? I’

Yes, as long as the computer has Bluetooth.

Can the charging case be bought separately?

No

How do you know what EQ setting the earbuds are on?

The earbuds give you a vocal auditory conformation (a female voice) which tells you which setting is currently on at the moment where you changed that setting.

Is the volume independent, or are they controlling the phones volume?

Volume is independent of phone volume

How do I add new or additional Bluetooth devices?

Press and hold both touch sensors for 3+ seconds to power ON. One earbud turns solid white and the other earbud blinks blue/white indicating ready to pair to your device. Select “JLab JBuds Air” in your device settings. Voice prompt “Bluetooth connected” followed by solid white lights will indicate you are connected.

How do I change the EQ settings?

How do I control volume and playback using the touch sensors?

Can I pair the earbuds with a computer?
